Blogging from Budget Terminal!

Dear all,


The Tan family is currently waiting anxiously to board. The plane will leave in about an hour's time. The terminal is not as bad as I thought it would be. Feel that it has quite a fair bit of shops i.e. Hang Ten, Mini Toons, Secret Receipes, Sports Connection and of course stores selling chocolates, candys, accessories, perfumes and cosmetics. Most important of all, it has got internet connection. The only disadvantage about this is that it would log you out automatically after 15 minutes. But hack care, I will just continue to use. Hahaha, so bad of me hor! Bo pian, else I cannot complete this post leh!

Ok, back to Little Arielle. She is currently running about and enjoying herself. She has made a new friend whom is XP's colleauge's son. Hee hee, we are in this together! 2 families travelling to Bangkok!

I sure hope that she would behave herself well in this 2 hours' flight. Else I think I would be suffering rather than enjoying siaz....

Hopefully there is free internet connection in Marriott Bangkok, then I can continue with my blogging! Cheers!

The Tan family would be flying off in a few hours' time. For those who don't know, yes we are going to Bangkok! Hopefully there would not be any airport closure or riots there! Let peace filled the air in this season of giving!

Spitting!

Received a complaint from mama that Little Arielle spat at nai nai whom is my father's mother!

Aiyo, this is such a rude act! In the end, she got a spanking from her daddy!

Is She My Girl?

We were having dinner and Little Arielle suddenly said,"Dark dark man, 来抓 Mummy!" Win liao lor, ask Ah Bu Neh Neh to come and catch me!

Then when she got home and XP told her that he has a stomachache, she said,"我照顾你lor" Yah, take care of her daddy and wants to get rid of me! So bad leh :(

Arielle the Merlion!

Especially at night lor! Just when I was about to shut down my pc and prepare for bed, I heard Little Arielle coughing badly. Next moment, she became a merlion lor! Dun know what I meant is it? It means she puked and it's on my dear BED!!!

Wat biangz, quickly carried her down and she continued her vomit on the floor! Arrgghhh! This is not the end. Brought her to the bathroom and she vomitted the 3rd time! Alamak, I wanna faint liaoz!

Quickly bath for her, clothe her and brought her to her 摇篮 cos the whole bedroom is in a mess. Luckily it din take long before she fell asleep. That is not the end for me.

XP managed to clear up the mess on the floor and threw whatever that needs to be washed into the washing machine. I took over to wash up the quilt which was badly stained! Thereafter, still gotta let it dry. When that is done, I gotta wait for laundry to be ready and hang it to dry.

In the end, I only managed to catch sleep at 12am+ lor!

From Flu to Cough

Thought that Little Arielle's flu episode would be over soon but who knows, she developed cough today. No wonder they always say that bad things come in a pair. The cough sounds pretty bad and her voice became coarse.

Aiyah, what a time to be sick. XP would be bringing her to the doc tomorrow. Hope she gets well before the festive season!

My Sick Little Gal

Was told by mama yesterday that Little Arielle was a bit warm and had running nose. Naughty me din give her her medication last night. So as expected, her running nose became worst.

Gave her her medication today and she was not feverish after 1 dose of medication. Thought that she would sleep longer after taking her medication but she woke up earlier than usual. Alamak, she was still active even though she is not well. Made me super busy lor!

The Power of Youtube

The advancement in technologies really made things easy for everyone! One does not need to spend much on DVDs/VCDs and they can just watch it for free in Youtube! Although not everything is available but some of the common video clips like Sesame Street, Doraemon, Smurfs, Tome & Jerry....are available.

I played Sesame Street for Little Arielle to watch and she was enjoying it! However, good times never stay long. Her patience lasted less than 15 minutes and she can't wait to get off her high-chair!

I Hate Mozzies!

I think this insect is the most irritating and detestable one in this whole wide world! It just sucked Little Arielle's blood and left her 5 bites!

3 on her right arm, 1 on her neck and 1 on her right cheek! All courtesy from 1 mosquito! And mama din manage to smack this culprit to death! Argghhh!

Came back and quickly applied the Papaw cream for her. Hopefully it would be better tomorrow!

My Barney Bolster!

No More Bangkok Trip?

Heard the news last night that the riot situation in Bangkok was getting worst. We were not that concerned until we read the news today that their airport was forced to close down as it was bombed by those people there!

Really xianz lor! They really have nothing better to do leh! Such action will actually affect their tourism business but I guessed they just can't be bothered. One of my colleauge who is supposed to fly over next week for holiday has already cancelled her trip. Hopefully the situation will be better when it's my turn to go over.

XP has already decided that if it is really not very promising, we will proceed without Little Arielle.

I Give Up!

I shall hand the post of discplinary master to XP. I really cannot keep Little Arielle under control. Perhaps I am really a failure in this regard. She only likes XP and listens to him. *sob**sob*

Learning to Keep

After a while of repeating myself, Little Arielle finally decided not to let my words fall on deaf ears. She immediately kept her toys when I asked her to do so. She did it within a span of few minutes and did not dilly dally at all.

Well, hopefully she would be so prompt in the future tasks that are gonna be assigned to her! This would not cause distress to my voice!

Reading Alone

It's a good habit for kids to pick up reading and I sure hope Little Arielle is one of those kids who love to read.

This evening, she was seen flipping story books quietly on her own.

Once our new place is ready, must make it a point to always bring her to the library. I sure hope that her writing skills and communication skills is good unlike her mummy here, whose writing skills really suck and still need to learn at this old age how to write a good paper!

Secured the Dress!

Got good news early in the morning! That BP organiser managed to convince the other customer to get the bigger size dress and gave up the other one for me!

Hee hee, can't wait to receive it! Opps, another collection to Little Arielle's clothes. She now got more clothes than me lor!

So Angry!!

There was this BP today and I was interested in one of the dress and wanted to get that for Little Arielle. As I was uncertain about the length of the dress, I asked the organiser and at the same time, I got her to reserve 2 sizes for me as there are only 1 piece per size. Before she replied, I already logged off as I need to travel back to HQ from TMO.

When I reached office, I quickly logged on to check her reply and was very mad when I saw that she has confirmed orders for 2 other customers who were behind me. These 2 customers ordered the same design and size as me! So, in other words, I am left with nothing even though I am the first person to get her to reseve.

What was more maddening was that she subsequently keyed in a post indicating that no reservations is allowed! Well, this was not even indicated in the T&C lor. If she suddenly decided to add this in, she should have the courtesy to let me know first. It's not as if I did not reply then of course, it would be up to her to decide who she should be allocating the dress to.

I was so mad that I immediately emailed to "confront" her. Here's what I wrote:

"Hi,I was very upset when I realised that my order is nottaken in.I was the first one to ask about the dresses and justbecause during that time I din manage to reply (as Iwas travelling from my 1st office to my 2nd office),you decided to confirm someone else's order.The fact that I got you to reserve the item for memeans that I am really very interested. If I were touse the word confirm instead of reserve and later ondrop the order, it is also not fair to the organiser.As such, I think it is not right for you to take onsomeone else's order before you check further with me. The reason why I got you to reserve is also because Iknow that there is only limited pieces per size. If Ireserve and subsequently did not confirm or makepayment, it is then right for the item to be releasedto the next party.I just felt very mad about this being handled. So ifthe person who confirmed and ended up din makepayment, so it's also no use saying that they haveconfirmed right!"

This is her reply:

"Hi Cynthia, I'm really sorry about this. You're right about the confirmation part. Maybe I should have said something about the reservation part at the beginning. But because I'm not sure when you can confirm which size are u taking and I'm not sure when can you get back to me, so when the other party say she will take the dress, I just confirm her order. So sorry about that and making you so upset. Can I call my supplier again to check with her whether does she have this dress size again then I get back to you? So sorry about the whole thing.. My first time doing a BP.. My so-called 1st BP oso didn succeed. Haiz.. So this clearance sale.. Will get back to you again can?"

So I said:

"Hi,Appreciate you doing so. Probably in future what youcan do is to state a deadline. Most BP organiserswould indicate that they would hold the reserve itemfor either 1 or 2 days and thereafter, if there is nopayment made, they would then release to the nextcustomer. I guess this would be fair to all parties.Anyway, what is the next available size for thisdesign? And meanwhile please help me to check withyour supplier if they have the sizes. Thanks"

And her reply:

"Hi Cynthia, Yah..gonna learn from my this mistake ar! I have checked with my supplier and she does not have size 7 anymore. *Sigh* But I have checked with the other mummy if she's willing to change 1 size bigger for her purchase (she took size 7 and 9). Hopefully if the measurements for the bigger sizes are ok for her..I still can keep size 7 for you. Reli sorry for this matter.. And making you so upset.. I will keep you informed once the other mummy replied me? "
Anyway, my last reply to her was to apologize for being so harsh and also to thank her for the effort in searching for the dress. I do hope that she can bring me some good news!

Know the Difference!

Little Arielle was asking for her bear bear and I gave her the new bear bear. She can turn round and say that this is not the one and she wants the other one.

Not bad leh, she can tell the difference. Probably because her old one is black and the new one is too white hee!

Cranky Gal

Little Arielle was still sleeping when we reached mama's house. I din know that she was still sleeping and so was calling her out from the gate. Moments later, I heard her cries. Mama popped out from the kitchen and told us that she was taking her nap.

When I entered into the house, she continued with her cries. She refused to be carried by me. Neither does she wants to be carried by XP. Aiyo, dun noe what she wants leh. Kept clinging on to her po po but yet din want to take a porridge.

It was only when her gong gong came back that made things better. Gong gong, you are still the man!

A Moment of Peace

XP and Jerome went to watch Barclays Singapore at Sentosa. I gave up the chance to go cos I know nothing about golf. The initial arrangement is for both of us to attend together and Little Arielle would be at mama's house. Last minute, I decided not to go. However, the plan for Little Arielle to go to mama's house remain as I just feel like having a few hours of peace.

In the end, these few hours was still spent on her blog!

Stepping into a Shopping Mall

It's been a while since we last did shopping. Had it not been my Isetan voucher expiring today, I dun think I would be going to Parkway.

Hmm, as usual nothing much to buy and nothing interesting to see. In the end, bought her Pigeon wipes from Isetan, had dinner at the hawker centre and we went back home.

Little Arielle was very cute this evening. Got her milk prepared and kept asking her to go up the bed to drink. She kept saying "臭臭" and refused to go up. When I asked her if she has urrgg, she said yes! No wonder she dun wanna go up. Not bad hor, she is a clean one!

Darkened Skin

Although Little Arielle's itch and blister are all gone, can see that her "wound" is in the recovery stage. However, what is upsetting is that the area where she was bitten now becomes dark. See pic for understanding:

The Noble Move Again!

Dr Ho commented that Little Arielle's hair was long and messy when we visited her the last round. Papa took leave today to specially address this issue. Hmm, feel that the cut today is better than the last round!

The Irritating Whine!

Dun noe where did Little Arielle learn how to whine or it is something that does not require learning. Whatever the case may be, it just simply irritating. This is especially so when we were all tired after work and she likes to kick up a fuss in the car cos she doesn't like to be confined in her car seat.

Back at home she continued with her whine for no apparent reason! Aiyah, I'm going crazy liaoz!

The Hamper

Remember XP won a hamper in his department party? We opened it up today and tada ~ the following is what is inside.

Arrival of Lucas Papaw Ointment

The ointment that I have ordered few days ago has arrived today. Have yet to test out it's effectiveness. According to the seller, it's supposed to curb itch and reduce swell.

Hopefully it really works cos I realised that it is actually not very big. The picture on the website looks really big but it's actually quite a small tube, weighing only 25g and cost me $9 per tube. Well, still cheaper than Dr Ho's cream which is $10 for only 5g!

Speedy Recovery

Wow, the medication given by Dr Ho is really powerful! No wonder she says we can only apply on her thigh 2 times a day. After a day's use, her swell went down significantly. There is no sight of any blister as it has already dried up. Think I will just let her apply one more day before switching it to the milder cream as advised by Dr Ho. Else, if she keep on applying the strong cream, it would be bad on her skin!

Just when her skin is recovering, this careless gal accidentally hit her right side of her face against the table. Luckily the edge is round, else she would suffer another injury! Aiyo, accident prone siaz!

Another Long Wait

Although Little Arielle's leg is slightly better after we have applied medication (got from Dr Ho from the previous bite) for her, XP still wanna pay Dr Ho a visit to make sure that her leg is really okie.

We got there at about 9.15am and there was no one in the queue. XP dropped me off at the clinic first before picking my mama up. Little Arielle and I sat on the step outside the clinic.

Along came a Malay woman and just walked into the clinic. I got mad and I followed behind her. She was given queue number 1. I was really pissed! She din even bother to ask if I am in the queue and just walked in like that! Sickening nurses inside the clinic also din bother to ask if I wanna take a number first!!

Luckily I was also given queue number 1 cos the doctor that I am seeing is different from hers. Best of all, I was happy to see that she was still in the queue when I had finished seeing the doc! Hee hee, her doctor actually came in earlier than Dr Ho.

Anyway, back to the story. Dr Ho was very late today. So much so that XP and I were already hungry! So took the chance to tell XP, so you know how miserable it is when my mama and I were waiting in the queue. Little Arielle took her weight which is 11.2kg and she is 86 cm. Finally, Dr Ho appeared at about 10.30am.

The only conclusion that Dr Ho gave is that she must have been bitten by some insects. It could be ants, mosquitoes or some bugs. She gave a stronger cream for her right thight as the bite was really bad. She also gave a mild cream for other parts of her leg. Her nurse was also shocked to see the swell. Total damage today is $57. Dr Ho also included a pack of mosquito patch that cost $8. Alamak, told XP that I already got mosquito patch liaoz and it's so much cheaper lor. Nevermind then!

After we got the medication, we went to the Tampines round market for our brunch. Dun noe why but the hunger seems to be gone. XP ordered a lot of dishes - laksa, pork porridge, carrot cake, chicken rice and yun tun noodle. Luckily the portion is not big and it's shared among the 3 of us.

Saw a side store selling children's clothes. Got a Barney set - top and 3/4 pants for Little Arielle at $5. Have been waiting for a BP on Barney clothes but no luck till date. So since, this is cheap and good, just got 1 for her! She was so happy!

Got home after I got the porridge from mama's house. Bath her after we got home, applied her medication and off to dreamland she goes....

Like An Adult

I was not feeling well after the durian feast and just feel like lying on the bed. Little Arielle was beside me so I decided to ask her the following. Check out our Mandarin conversation:

LA: 你有没有吃药?

Wat biangz, she is literally speaking like an adult lor! Absolutely understand the situation and knows what I am talking about. Cannot take it man!

Return of the Durian Feast

We were on our way back home after our late lunch and XP suddenly asked Little Arielle if she wants to eat durian. Aiyah, her answer is definitely yes lor. So XP bought some home as our dessert.

I thought that the durian season was just over and in a short span of about 1-2 months, it's back again! In fact, we ate durians about 1-2 weeks back and it was great savouring the King of Fruits again!

May the yearly harvest be good so that we get to eat fleshy durians always!

Good Imitator

Was pretty irritated the whole morning cos breakfast was missed and I had to clean up the room.

However, after I saw what Little Arielle did, I can't help but break into laughter.

Worsening of Insect Bite

I initially thought that Little Arielle got a normal mosquito bite from the outing yesterday morning. I myself was a victim too and I actually got about 6-7 bites on my feet. But it turned out to be otherwise.

The bite became very swollen and Little Arielle must have felt pain and itch that she went to scratch until it bled! That's the last thing I wanna see on her leg! This made me bought the Lucas Pawpaw Ointment from the website and I will try it on my own feet to see if it would really help to cure bites and itch!

Anyway, we applied medication on her affected area and hope that she will recover soon!

Puke After Burp

Little Arielle must have been too full until she puke after she burped! I did not give her more this morning. It was her usual quantity. Not sure why that happened but it was indeed very xian when it happened.

XP was the one who handled her and she puke on his shorts and our bed. What a chore early in the morning. Because of her, I gotta do massive clean up. So much so that breakfast was sacrificed. What made the whole situation worst was that Little Arielle kept on messing around and creating trouble until XP and I actually took turns to scream at her!

Wish that I had a magic wand that can make her disappear for a while!

The Crocs Family!

Finally, I was able to get each of us 1 pair of Crocs!


The story goes....


XP told me last evening that there would be Crocs sale today at one of the building in Singapore. Well, apparently, I have forgotten the name of the building. Anyway, I am also aware of the sale cos I received those forwarded email that mention about it. What I was surprised was that XP was interested too cos he has never like Crocs shoes.


So the plan was to have breakfast first, followed by me running some errands and then we would proceed to the sale and there after attend Baby Lucas's Baby Shower.


The sale starts at 10am and we reached the place at about 11am. The parking lots were all taken up and the security guard din allow anymore cars to proceed in. As such, XP just let us alight first while he proceed to look for a parking lot elsewhere.


There were a lot of people waiting at the lift lobby to go up to Crocs which is located at level 5. Heard someone saying that the queue is up till 2nd floor on the stairs. Din quite catch what they say so I followed the others to take the lift. When I reached 5th floor, I finally understood what I heard earlier on. The queue stretched all the way to the 3rd floor. Which means to say, I gotta go down 2 levels and start joining the queue from there. Queuing on the stairs is no joke man! It's quite stuffy and everyone was seen fanning themselves with something.


Was glad that XP din mind to stay in the queue. You know lah, guys usually got no patience! Well, the queue did move and unknowingly, we were in the queue for 1 hour. The first thing we saw was the cashier and behind her was a long queue of customers. They really buy as if it's free lor! They were not just holding 1-2 pairs of shoes. They were holding on to cartons of it! Yes, I am not joking lor! We thought to ourselves, at the rate that they are buying, don't think there is much left for us lor!


Oh mine, finally managed to get in cos there would be someone who would monitor the crowd in the "store". Only when there are people who have already came out, we would be let in. We were all sweating like mad! I was disappointed when I saw how the shoes were being displayed. It's thrown all over the side of the floor. You gotta practically bend down to search for the design and size that you want. All in all, it was very disorganised! I know that it would be in a mess but I kind of expected the shoes to be placed probably on some shelves instead of just being dumped around. Either you find them on the floor or in boxes. If it is in boxes, you gotta dig for the pair that you want. If you are lucky, you get a pair, else you would find yourself holding to one and searching for the other piece to make it a pair cos some people just anyhow throw once they have tried it on.


Got XP to quickly search for what he wants so that he can bring Little Arielle to the car while I make payment. I was busy searching for Little Arielle's shoes but at the same time keeping a tight watch to make sure that she is next to me. Luckily she was wearing her squeaky shoes and that made her easily detectable. Thought that I would be able to find Disney designs but there isn't. As such, got a pair of Mary Jane Purple for her. XP was quick to find something that he likes. He brought Little Arielle out while I was trying to find something for myself. Walked up and down a few times and was pretty disappointed. The designs were very limited. It was worst when you get either the very small sizes or the gigantic ones! After searching for a while, I gave up! So decided to just get 1 for Little Arielle and 1 for XP.

Was in the queue for payment but was still hoping that I can get a pair for myself. It would be good if the design is the same as Little Arielle's one. Got one of the auntie to "look after" my "queue" while I take a second tour to try my luck. Well, I came back disappointed again....


Just before I was about to make payment, I saw a pair of reasonably right size Mary Jane shoes left next to the cashier counter. Realised that it was one of the customers who decided not to get it. Quickly got the auntie in front of me to pass it to me. She only passed me one of the shoe and not the full pair. You know why? Cos her daughter wanted to get it for her friend. I got a bit annoyed cos I was the one who saw it first. Not fair for her to just do that leh! In the end, after her daughter has made a phonecall to her friend, she said that she would be taking it and only left a word,"Sorry".


I was super pissed but forget it lor, perhaps just not fated to own a pair of Crocs. When they were going to make payment, the cashier announced that adult's Mary Jane would be $35 instead of $27. Again, she made another phonecall to her friend and she decided not to proceed with the purchase. I quickly got her to pass that to me!


Hee hee, so afterall, I am fated to own a pair of Crocs! Paid a total of $97 ~ $35 each for mine and XP's Crocs and $27 for Little Arielle's pair. Total time spent on getting 3 pairs of Crocs = 2 hours!

KIV Bear Bear

I'm supposed to go down to Precious Thots this evening to pay for her bear bear that I have reserved. Alamak, who knows last minute gotta OT cos got urgent request to be checked out. In the end, by the time I left office, it is already 7.30pm.

Totally forgotten about this matter until I was at home at 9pm+ after eating dinner at Swee Choon.

Aiyah hope that they would hold on to my item leh. Think I can only make a trip down on Monday to do the collection!

On Bus Journey Home....

XP needs to attend a function this evening and he is unable to send me back to mama's house. He mentioned that he would pick me up at my mama's house after his function which might be quite late.

I din wanna wait at mama's house and so decided to pick Little Arielle up on my own after my course.

Luckily the course ended at 5pm so I actually reached my mama's house before 6pm. Little Arielle was already ready to go. Before going off, was checking with mama if she has made her wear her training pants and she said yes. However, most of the time, Little Arielle refused to say when she wants to pee. I guessed she needs more time but was glad that I bought the training pants for her to try on.

Got her things and made her put on her shoes cos I din wanna be seen carrying her all the time.

During the bus journey, she was pretty excited. It was a double decked bus and we sat on the second floor. She was still quite okie for the first few minutes. Subsequently, she starts fidgeting around. Managed to get her to sit down properly and that is when she started bombarding me with the same question,"What's that, What's that?" Aiyo, after answering her, she still asked me the same question. Buay tahan!

Luckily, that died down after a while. Thank god that the journey wasn't too long and she was preoccupied with the scenery outside. So all in all, I still managed to have some peace for a few moments.

Got home at about 7pm. After a while, she started to get cranky. Kept looking for XP which I told her that he is not home yet. Played with her flashcards and threw everything on the floor. Got so pissed off with the mess and asked her to pack up. She refused to do so and started crying. I was really irritated. Probably also because I am feeling the heat in the room and the fan din seems to help.

Luckily, XP was home at about 7.45pm. Bought durian back and that became my dinner. Little Arielle was cranky again. Wanna hold it by herself and yet dun noe how to eat properly. Kept biting on the seed and we were afraid that she would swallow it. XP was really patient with her nonsense even though he wasn't feeling quite well. I already surrender my white flag!

After that, he went to bed again and I am stuck with this naughty one alone! Got so pissed with her behaviour that she kena a few light strokes of the cane from me. This thick skinned gal doesn't seems to feel anything. XP woke up and quickly got her to come over to my side so that I can get her changed. She did and after which, played around, walked around, kpo around until I off the lights at 11pm then she was willing to sleep! Vomit bloodz....

She's All Right....

After close monitoring, the report given by mama is that Little Arielle is fine and well. Checked on her stools this evening and there was nothing found. Dun noe if I should be happy or sad about it.

Anyway she is still as active and naughty as ever! Will just monitor her closely for the next few days and crossing my fingers that everything would be fine....

Swallowed Something??

I was surfing the net and XP was already fast asleep. Little Arielle was playing by herself on the bed. Suddenly, I heard her coughing badly and she showed signs that she wanna puke. Quickly carried her off the bed and she vomitted some of her milk out.

She seems to have choked on something but we din know what she has put into her mouth.

After clearing up the mess, I kept asking her if she has swallowed something. She either tells me that she has eaten a sweet or she kept repeating,"Pink colour, pink colour"

I did a search on the bed and din notice anything possible that can be swallowed. Moreover, her toys are not that small to be swallowen.

Quite worried if she has really eaten something down. Will get mama to check on her condition and stools tomorrow. Hopefully everything is fine....

Bah Kut Teh Session! (TUP)

It has been a long time since I last blogged frequently. Well, I'm back and I will clear up the "backlog" asap!

We had a full day session today and wanna know what we have done? Well, we had Bah Kut Teh in Malaysia.

It was one of the planned item in our roadtrip over the past weekend. However, we somehow just missed it probably because it was too early and the roads were still dark. As such, we din manage to have a taste of this recommended Bah Kut Teh. All of them were regretting over it especially XP. As such, he was the first to suggest today's session! 4 other car owners supported his suggestion.

So here we go....

Although it was fun to have such events, what is dreadful is that you gotta wake up damn early lor. Got up at 4.30am partly because I kept hearing Little Arielle's cough. She has not been feeling well since Thursday. Gave her medication but her cough has yet to fully recover. XP initially wanted to postpone this event and even thought of just cancelling it. Else the next possible arrangement is to leave Little Arielle with mama. Well, I wasn't for any of his idea lor. So in the end, we decided to just proceed since everything has already been fixed with the others!

The meet up point was at one of the CRV club members' house located at Bukit Timah. Wow, though the place is quite small but it just gave one a cosy feeling. Hmm, hopefully my new apartment would be able to provide such feel too cos it's also small lor!

Including us, there were a total of 5 cars ready for yet another fantastic food expedition! All of us were punctual and we left his house at about 6am. The jam at the 2nd link wasn't that bad and what was so 巧 was that I actually saw Wendy Koh and family while queuing at the checkpoint! This is probably what we call 缘份! They were on their way to Malacca for a 3D2N stay! Enjoy!

We continued our journey to Mawai. That's the place where the nice Bah Kut Teh is located. They marked it down on their GPS and we made sure that we won't miss it this time round. After about an hour's drive, we reached our destination. I had a chance to take a short nap in the car as Little Arielle was fast asleep too. She woke up the moment we reached. The timing was perfect!

We were all excited and definitely hungry. Quickly placed our orders and luckily they were fast enough to serve our food. Yummy yum yum! 是好吃的 lor! Food was served in traditional claypot and you can see the soup boiling when they served it! Splendid! The effort was worth the while to come and eat it. Best of all, it's cheap lor! So many dishes and per person only need to pay $6+ Sin. Good thing that they have baby chair so Little Arielle was busi enjoying her white rice. Not that we ill-treat her but she just has love for white rice only.

After filling our stomach, we took more pics with the cars and thereafter we decided to visit one of the waterfalls since we are already in Malaysia. Along the way, we stopped by the roadside and took pic of the palm oil plantation and rubber plantation. The rubber plantation was a killer cos there were so many mosquitoes that we were attacked once we were at the entrance. Luckily they only attack the adults and Little Arielle was spared. A small one was happily sucking XP's blood on his face and hahaha, I took the chance and gave him a tight slap. So bad of me hor hee! Anyway, we quickly left that place and proceed to Kota Tinggi Waterfall.

Hmm, these waterfall sure earn $$ for Malaysia. 1 entry costs us RM23. RM5 for car, RM9 per adult. Little Arielle does not need to pay. But at least, this one is much cleaner compared to the one that we went last week. As usual, she was all excited to have a chance to play with water. The cooling water from the waterfall is really shiok. Best of all, it was cloudy and windy!

Our last destination for the day would be lunch at Todak, a kelong-styled seafood restaurant that oversees Sembangwan Shipyard. The last round we went was for dinner and the nightview was mesmerising. Anyway, it's a different feel today. The tide was low and the sun was bright and sunny. We had a fantastic lunch! The seafood was really fresh and the way it was cooked was really tasty. $15 Sin per pax for about 7-8 dishes + drinks. Where can you find leh....We would be back for more!!

What A Telok Day :(

I was on leave today and XP was going for his golf tournament. As such, I would be in charge of Little Arielle. As it's mama's birthday today, I din wanna bring Little Arielle over cos the tendancy would be she would be the one taking care of her.

I got up earlier than her and had some time to do my own things. Shortly after she woke up, I was busi like a bee. Sent all the dirty laundry for a good wash cos I have not been washing for a while cos the past few weekends has been packed with activities. Thereafter, gotta feed her milk, bath her and entertain her too. It was home alone for us cos my PIL went out for their usual morning exercise. So there was no one else to assist. Luckily, XP bought breakfast for me before he went out for his golf game. So sweet of him cos he must have gone to buy it at around 5am - 6am. If not for his breakfast, I think I would have died of hunger cos no time to go and buy food!

Finally, managed to rock Little Arielle to sleep in her 摇篮. Thought that I would have at least 2-3 hours of peace. I estimated XP would be back by then so he would have gotten me my lunch and I can enjoy it while Little Arielle is still in dreamland. Who knows, an hour later, I hear Little Arielle's cries! Quickly rushed over to take a look at what has happened and I was shocked to see traces of "fermented milk" on the floor. I was stunned to see Little Arielle's mouth, neck and ears all covered with "fermenented milk" What biangz! She VOMITTED leh!

I can tell you at that moment, I really dun know what to do lor. Her beloved bear bear and her bolster all kena liaoz! She was scared stiff and she just went on crying out for me! XP came back in the nick of time! Else I would really be at a loss. Got her bolster and bear bear out of the 摇篮 first followed by Little Arielle. Immediately brought her to the bathroom and XP would bath for her. Luckily my PIL was there to assist in the cleaning up of her puke on the floor. Sent all items into the washing machine. I was already tired, hunger and frustrated! Little Arielle kept crying throughout her bath and after she was out, she continued to do so. Worst still, after dressing her up, she kept clinging on to me like super glue. Gave me no chance to eat my lunch. Took me a while to pass her over to XP. That was already 3pm+.

Finally settled her down and in a while's time, we gotta get ready to pick my parents up for mama's birthday celebration! Alamak, leaves me no time to take a breather leh....What a day....

Aiyah, so upset leh! That silly person in charge din reply my email leh! Wondering if I should shoot another one or wait for another few days for her to revert?

Just anxious to find out if there are still stock for Little Arielle's bear bear....

Failed Mission

As promised, the first task when we reached mama's house is to check out the gift shop at Century Square for Little Arielle's teddy bear. XP remembered that he saw that gift shop selling the same exact teddy bear. However, upon reaching the store, we were disappointed that they have sold all of that bear. Worst still, they are not bringing that in. That sickening store assistant seems to be driving us away. Got so annoyed with her!!

Anyway, since that store do not have what we want, we decided to pop over to the gift shops in Tampines Mall to try our luck. Including the store in Century Square, we searched through 4 - 5 stores but still failed to get the same bear bear. Hmm, Little Arielle must have been disappointed!

Managed to obtain the email address of the person in charge of the brand TY. This is the brand of the bear bear that I am looking for. Have just emailed to the person and hopefully, she still has stock for this particular design.

Burnt Bear Bear!

Was preparing the long bath for Little Arielle to dip in. The foam was already in formation.

I was out of the bathroom doing something when I suddenly realised that Little Arielle is not in sight. I quickly rushed to the bathroom and realised that she was bathing her bear bear. Win liaoz lor. It was all drenched and soaked to the skin with bath foam.

So I quickly snatched the bear bear from her and tried to wring it dry. But there was too much water in it. So I just left it sitting on the sink to let the water drip off. Meanwhile, XP would be bathing her and at the same time playing with her in the bathtub. One of the few chances that she can play in bathtub and especially with foam. As such, she is exceptionally happy!

After her bath, we got ready to meet the others for dinner. So XP found a lamp and placed her bear bear on top of it cos we were hoping that the heat from the lamp will dry her bear bear faster. We left for dinner after that has been taken care of. We wanted to charter for a van to bring us to the nearby pasar malam for dinner and probably some shopping. In the end, the hotel staff din manage to get any van for us. To make things worst, it suddenly rained very heavily. As such, all of us were stuck at the hotel. The contingency plan is to have dinner at the hotel's Chinese restaurant. They were serving ala carte buffet and we were happily eating and chatting away.

About 1 - 2 hours later, we were done with our food and returned back to our hotel room. While I was closing the door, I heard XP saying,"Oh Shit!" I quickly went over and realised that her bear bear's bum was burnt! Blur XP din realise that her bear bear's tail kena the tip of the light bulb. The heat was too hot that it burnt her bear! The beads in her bear melted into gel form and it was really hot. After it was left to cool, the gel solidified and became a lump. It just looks like a human who had a real big and painful pile! The burnt smell was also there. Luckily we were back from dinner. Else, we might have burnt the whole room down or even short-circuit the whole hotel. Little Arielle kept saying,"臭臭, 臭臭"
