The clips which I have ordered few days back arrived in the mail today. So happy that it arrived on time as I was afraid that it would be delayed due to CNY period.

It Seems To Be....

Over! For the whole of yesterday and today, Little Arielle did not have any more fever! Yipppeee! Her cough is still on but you can hear that it is getting better.

But poor thing, she kena a bruise on her left elbow cos she fell off her bed last night. Luckily, she did not hurt other parts of her body.

End of Episode?

Hmm, seems like Little Arielle is so much better today :) Her cough has reduced and best of all, her fever seems to be gone.

I hope I am right about this! Crossing my fingers. Hmm should I wake up and check on her later?

Visit to Mummy Me's Office

Mummy Me had to stay back to support some exercise and initially told XP that it should end by 8.30pm. Last minute, it was extended to 9pm and I forgot to inform XP. So just slightly before 8.30pm, he reached. I had no choice but to ask him to wait in my office.

When Little Arielle walked in, she was attracted to the big golden egg in the service area and wanted to take a pic with it!

The Fever Continues....

Mummy Me is pretty tired with Little Arielle's continuous ordeal :( She was perfectly fine during the day (since I did not hear from mama) but apparently not the case at night!

Brought her home this evening and I can already feel that she is a bit feverish. Took her temperature before my dinner and was shocked to see a high reading of 39.7. Quickly gave her her medication followed by the fever patch.

Her fever went down at 11pm and I hope it will not start again later....

Arrghhh....how long more is this gonna be??

Water Bottle Holder

Saw one of the online seller selling the following and was pretty interested :) I thought it's a good item especially for Little Arielle to bring along for her school outing. So I asked for her preference this evening and she loved the same design as me (hengz ah....)

So I quickly placed an order and what I love most was that we can have Little Arielle's name on the strap! Yeah....I guessed $19.50 should be $$ well-spent for :)

Still Having Fever @ 2am

Yeah....Mummy Me woke up at 2am this morning and Little Arielle's fever is still on :( It just sucks! Cos I don't know why she is still having fever when her throat infection has almost recovered.

Anyway, I just gave her her medication and to be on the safe side, I put the fever patch for her too.

At 6.30am, her fever was gone and hopefully, it's gonna be the case for the whole day & night!

Have allowed her to go to school and please don't bring back any virus!

Her Paperless Homework

Remember my earlier post where I mentioned that the school wants the kids to tell the parents what needs to be done and so, they have done away with those memo and circulars for the parents.

I remembered Little Arielle told me that she needs to bring those cut out apples from magazine to hand in as homework since Apples start with A which is also the first alphabet for Little Arielle's name.

Being kiasu, I printed out a lot more extra stuff i.e. axe, ambulance, alligator and aeroplane cos it all starts with A. I was afraid that teacher actually meant they want items starting with A.

So when I brought it home and wanted to cut it out for her submission tomorrow, Little Arielle was confident that teacher only wanted the apple. Hmm.... I shall see if she is really correct about it!

Sleepless Night Again?

To stop Little Arielle's fever from happening, Mummy Me woke up once last night at 2am+ to feed her her medication. And luckily I managed to get the fever patch, she did not have any fever until this afternoon.

Since her condition wasn't stable, XP decided to let her miss school for today. Afterall, it's PE day and we reckon that would probably tired her out too.

After we brought her home this evening, think her fever started again. Mama has already asked me to get her fever medication cos she was going to finish the old one. I have also started her on her antibotics yesterday.

Gave her another dose of medication before she goes to bed and praying hard that there's no fever tonight! I don't wanna be panda!!

Disney on Ice - World of Fantasy 2011

I can tell you, as long as it's anything called Disney, the sales are definitely gonna be very high!

Wanted to book the Cat 1 tickets and realised that all the good seats are either left with 1 for the block or none :( Finally found some better ones but XP asked me to hold it first as he mentioned that usually, nearer to the date, there would be people who are unable to make it and hence, they would have to sell their tickets away. He added to say that I shouldn't be wasting $$ unnecessarily :(

But hey, it's his girl who wanna watch mah! And since, we have the ability, we should let her little wish come true. Anyway, dear baobao, please don't blame me if you can't get to watch. Pray hard and cross your fingers that there are people who really cannot make it nearer the date....

She's Burning!!

The fever patch were all used up. I made the decision to go out and buy and after going to the stores at 2 petrol stations, I couldn't get what I want. Thank god there is a 24 hours NTUC and luckily, they sell the patch.

When I came back, I went to take a look at Little Arielle and was shocked that she was burning!! I got so worried but XP doesn't seem to be!!

He asked me to bring Little Arielle for a cold bath and said that all western doc practise it. This would help to bring down her temperature of 39.8! So I had to drag Little Arielle to the cold bath and she was screaming and crying at the same time. But when asked if she wants to die, she replied No and I told her if she wants to live, she would have to take the cold bath and put the fever patch. Reluctantly, she agreed!

May the strength be with her and hopefully everything will be fine in the morning....

The Fever is BACK!!

For no apparent reason, the fever is BACK! Arrghhh super hate it :( Now measuring at 39.1 degree!!

Should I let her take the antibotic??

After A Nite Of Nursing....

The irritating thing about fever is that we have to really be precise about the timing of the medication. If we were to miss it, the fever will be back again. So to ensure that this doesn't happen, Mummy Me fed Little Arielle her medication @ 4 hours interval at 11pm (last nite) - 39.5 degree, 3am this morning - 39.8 degree, 7am - 37.7 degree and 11am - 36.6 degree.

Was afraid that I missed the time and have set alarm to my iPhone and yes, I did not miss it. The 3am feed was scary cos the fever really went to the peak. So I quickly put on the fever patch for her even though she really hates it. Glad that I insisted cos when I took her temperature at 7am, her fever is gone :)

Thanks to the nite of nursing, she is okie now but I am quite tired actually....

Planned vs Actual

It has been planned few weeks back that we will be following the cc today for a series of CNY shopping activity. I was awake at about 7 am and I stretched out my hand to feel Little Arielle. Got a shock when she felt so hot! I quickly gave her her medication and thought that her fever will subside shortly. Sigh... I was wrong :(. Her fever was still on but she wanted to go. At last, we decided to forgo the trip and bring her to the doc... At times, planning is indeed a waste of time!

Different Style of Teaching

Got to know from mama that K1's style of teaching was different from nursery. Today, Little Arielle got a blank folder from the school and according to mama, that will be the case in future. They will not attach any memo as they want the kids to convey the message to the parents i.e. what is the homework for the weekend.

So, mama said that when Little Arielle came out of class, she immediately told her what needs to be done. Some of the kids did not response when their parents ask them and Little Arielle (being kpo again) told the parents what needs to be done. However, she was immediately stopped by her teacher, Ms Tan cos what each kid has to do is different.

So I found out from Little Arielle that they need to cut out something from the magazine starting with the first alphabet for their name i.e. A for Arielle, we can cut pic of Apples from the magazine. This is why, the items that each kid has to prepare will be different.

Hee....hopefully Little Arielle has conveyed the right message to us, else, she's gonna submit wrong things on Mon!

Ill-Fated Me :(

After a day of nonsense at work, I just want to have some time for myself to quietly surf the net and probably do something that I like....Apparently, I don't have such fortune :(

The journey back home was filled with Little Arielle's questions. The non-stop questioning suddenly turned her voice into noise pollution and it just irks me so much!

Back home, it took 1001 push and nags to get her to brush her teeth and go to bed. Just when I thought that this is the moment that I can settle down a while, she came out telling me that she doesn't feel well and her throat is irritating her. So I made some warm drink for her and she seemed to have fallen asleep.

And just when I feel like shutting down my lappie and retire for the night, I heard her thunderous coughs and the next moment, she merlioned! I really had no idea why she needs to come and look for me and not go straight to the toilet where it is just in front of her bedroom.

So I went to the toilet and she followed in and continued her puke in the bowl. On the way, she just dirtied my whole floor! I am super irritated and the quiet night was disturbed by my high pitched scoldings! I just couldn't understand why this sickening cough virus was stuck with her for the past 1 year?

I was intensely annoyed and really had the urge to leave her at mama's house for tomorrow's night!

Sweet Lacy Dress

Thanks to my fast fingers....Mummy Me managed to get this sweet looking dress! But wonders if I have chosen the right size for Little Arielle. Got a feeling it's gonna be too big for her but nevermind, wait for her to grow up hahaha!

Handicraft Man!

Little Arielle and I were both very fortunate to have XP! Cos he is practically an all-rounder! This is especially so in the area of craftwork! Within an hour, he was able to make the lantern for Little Arielle's homework!

I Hate Spring Cleaning!!

While CNY is a happy ocassion, Mummy Me super hates the pre-CNY preparation i.e. spring cleaning! Little Arielle on the other hand, is super happy cos Mummy Me and XP won't have time to bother about her and she can do whatever she likes i.e. going over to her Granny's house!

Sigh....still got so much more to go....I think we gonna be busy for the next few weekends! Hee....luckily XP is fast so he managed to clean up the mirrors in the living room, the windows of all the rooms and our patio. Me ah....I only done the cleaning and packing for the 2 toilets vanity top. Hee means toilet bowl is left for someone to do hahahaha!

Unknowingly....

Just a few clicks and I realised that I have spent $103 in less than 10 minutes!!! And it's all for Little Arielle's clothings!

Though I am feeling painful about the amount but then again, I feel that the items that I have bought for her are pretty and I'm sure my darling will look great in them :)

Gap Casting Call Votes - Thanks :)

Yesterday was the last day to vote for Little Arielle. Mummy Me did not really solicit for votes actively after a while cos I realised that there are kids with votes like in the thousands within first few days of voting. I know that it is impossible for me to get that many votes. So I just like it be.

Having said that, I would still want to express my heartfelt thanks to friends and family who have done their bit by voting for Little Arielle.

Despicable Me!

Mummy Me has heard from her colleagues that the movie, Despicable Me is very nice. Well, I did not have the chance to watch it. Was very happy when XP told me a few days ago that Despicable Me is showing on mio tv! So we took the chance this afternoon to watch it together....

The Smales T-Shirt

Mummy Me took the opportunity to clear the newspapers in office and home by recycling it at Ikea. They have a program for kids to earn points if we bring newspaper to recycle.

And, I am happy to say that the points earned today + those earned previously was enough to redeem the cute Smales T-Shirt! Next aim would be the landyard!

I just love Ikea!!

Confirmation for Little School of Big Dreamers

Wow....they were quite fast suddenly! To give me a confirmation for my Jul's intake. Initially, I forgot to indicate that I wanted the Jul intake and happily faxed my application over yesterday. They immediately confirm Little Arielle's seating for the Jan's intake. Luckily I read carefully and quickly replied them saying that I wanted the Jul's intake.

They replied me today with the confirmation :) Looking forward to a whole series of classes for Little Arielle. That means I'm gonna be really busy every Sun from Jul onwards!!

Feeling Free....

While Mummy Me is waiting for Little Arielle to be off school at 12pm, I took the chance to call up Julia Gabriel to check on my application. One of the staff mentioned that they would call me to acknowledge my application but apparently, I did not receive any call after 2 days.

So I called them up and after flipping through their records for a while, they found my application. At the same time, I requested to change it to a Sun class instead cos as and when, we might go for some 1 day trip on a Sat.

Marie, the staff who spoke to me told me that she would make the change and currently, they need another kid to start the Sun class and will inform me when they gather enough students. Also, the receipt for the registration fee has been mailed out to me. Hmm....at least one item is settled.

Tried to call the Little School of Big Dreamers cos they did not reply my email even though they said that they would. Xianz lor....the stupid answering machine says that they are unable to take my call and ask me to leave my details which they will call me by the next working day. I shall see if they live up to their promise or not!!

*After writing this post, I decided to try and call them again and yes! I managed to get through. Spoke to the person and she said that I can apply for the Jul intake by faxing in the application form. Wahh....that means I will be paying about $1500 for her Julia Gabriel and Little School of Big Dreamers class!! What a BIG hole in my pocket! Hopefully she enjoys and learns well in these enrichment class :)

Last Minute is Wrong!

Although sometimes things dun go according to plan, it is still good to plan! We only remembered about buying Little Arielle's school shoes today and Jiat lard lah, dun have her size liaoz! Called the other outlets of Kiddy Palace and they told me that they dun have her size :( Siao liaoz....

1st Photoshoot of 2011

It wad supposed to be the last shoot of 2010 but turned out to be first shoot of 2011 due to the bad weather on 31 Dec10. So instead of taking any more risks, I decided to change it to a studio shoot instead!

It was not easy to locate the venue. Took us a while to find it and when we found the building, we realised that we had to walk very far before we reached the unit.

But what was behind the door really made our mood feel so relaxed! The ceiling was high and the area was spacious. They designed it with soft white and organza purple curtains. Wahh....immediately the happy mood sets in!

The whole place just felt great and I was so immersed in it that I forgot to take a pic! Ahhh....nevermind, shall take it when I go and collect my photos!

Anyway, the shoot lasted for about 3 hours (inclusive of selection of pic). This time round, I have prepared 12 sets of clothings for Little Arielle and not forgetting to apply the concealer for her. It really works wonders and managed to cover up her bruise! Hmm....she's indeed like a little star. It took a while before she warmed up and I think she did not take as well as the last time. Probably because I was too tired to be a clown. So most of the time, I was preparing for her next set of clothes and left the photographer to make her laugh.

Although not all are nice, but at least some are! She became grouchy towards the end, which I guessed is quite good stamina for a 4 years old. Was told by the photographer that we took a total of 381 pic! I think she was shocked too hee....

Anyway, looking forward to the pic so that I can post in FB hahaha!

That's the description I gave to this pic of Little Arielle! Doesn't she look like one? Saw this on Dreamsgarden's BP thread. Sigh....they always put up an uglier pic of Little Arielle leh! Got so many other nicer ones and they chose this instead? Hmm, is artistic people's view really different from normal person? I wonder....In any case, waiting to receive the rest of her pic!!

Ah Nei Nei

Took this after Little Arielle came out of her shower. Hee, she sure looks like a Ah Nei Nei! Got the 'Ms Towel' towel which is said to be super absorbant. After use, indeed it's not too bad! The size is just nice for Little Arielle. Actually, it's meant for adult i.e. myself but nevermind lah! Seems like it fits well on her too :P

Bruise is Bad!!

Din know Little Arielle's last gift of 2010 was so bad! No wonder they call it blue black! In fact, I can see more colours leh! How to recover for tomorrow's photoshoot? Don't think the photographer will allow me to change :(

So I guessed I gotta put on concealer for her liaoz! Sigh....Mummy Me is not even using it! Now gotta spend $$ to buy! Hmph!

Last Gift of 2010

Was only told by Little Arielle today, after midnight that she knocked herself and tada....her last gift from 2010! Din hear her cry and hence, I did not even know that she fell until she told me.

Luckily it doesn't look so bad. Else, how to go for photoshoot on Sunday leh....

All Plans Failed!

First, it was the photoshoot session that was postponed due to the rain. Then it was Little Arielle who couldn't attend her art class cos she just puked while I was feeding her porridge!

Wanted to let her have her dinner i.e. porridge before going for class and thereafter to watch fireworks. Just when she was about to finish her porridge, she detected signs of puke and I asked her to quickly go to the toilet.

She was just 3 steps away from the toilet bowl, couldn't hold it and puked like a merlion all over the floor and on herself.

I was totally xianz when I saw this! But still, gotta clean up! Spent about 1 hour+ on this meaningless task and became moodless after I have done it....

I hope that there would be the mood to watch fireworks later. Else, it's really a xianz New Year Eve!

What's the point of planning?

As Expected!

It was a sunny morning and XP was just saying that it's good for our outdoor photoshoot today.

But after mid day approaches, the sky darken and I quickly told the photographer to change it to indoor shoot instead. The husband called and did not agree to the change cos he said that it hasn't even rain and who knows, it won't rain at 4pm. In any case, the main reason that he din want to change is also because someone has already booked the studio for photoshoot at the same time. Hence, there is no way that he can accomodate another family in.

Okie lor....since he is being fair, then I asked him what would be the situation if it is going to rain at 4pm? He told me that he would have to change to another date. Fine with me as long as they can allow me to bring forward the shoot to 2011.

Everything was okie until 3.30pm when I heard raindrops. It became heavier and he called to say that we would have to postpone the shoot.

Just as well....it would be changed to this Sunday and it would be at their studio. Yeah! Little Arielle can have her Princess collection pic :)

Good Weather Tomorrow??

Tomorrow is our outdoor shoot! Sounds silly to have outdoor shoot in Dec where it is always raining....But what to do? The studio doesn't allow me to bring it over to 2011 cos they said actually my promo is only valid for 3 months.

And I'm very surprised by XP's suggestion! He actually suggested to take the pic in Phuket! I was shocked cos that means we gotta pay for photographer's accomodation + airfare and to think that he is okie with that!

Anyway, I have checked with the photographer and she has yet to reply. I think most likely, it's a no lor! So, I'm not banging hard on it!

Have also told the photographer that if it really rains, I will change it to indoor shoot instead. Shall leave it to God to decide the weather! Actually I am quite xianz to pack the items for outdoor shoot! Seems like need to bring a lot of things. So afterall, the rain is not a bad idea too!

我很寂寞!

Sigh....that's what Little Arielle has been saying recently. However, there is nothing much that I can do :(

Prompt Action!

After watching the Tuesday Special which talks about the closure of the Tanjong Pagar Train Station in Jul 2011, I immediately told XP that I wanted to take the train again to revive the memories (cos my dad took my family to Genting when we were young and we took the train to KL and switch to cab). It was so fun to be in the cabin and we were just sleeping with a drawn curtain! The cold wind came through the windown and the feeling was just undescriable!

XP really went to ask around and his colleagues are interested! Happened to tell Daddy this evening and they wanted to go too!

Hmm....should we spilt into 2 trips and go twice or have everyone to go together??

Busy New Year's Eve

Batam - Day 2

Was awaken by Little Arielle in the morning where she greeted me, sang bday song and said I Love You! Hmm, at least not a bad start for my bday morning....

After breakfast, we took the shuttle bus where they drove us to the Nagoya shopping mall. Sigh....the malls are not comparable to those in Msia. Got just a few items, had lunch at A&W and it's time to get back to the hotel.

Brought Little Arielle to the pool and she had a great time there. I was happy too cos they have a pool with shelter. And you would know where I am hiding hee....

After the swim, we rested for a while and it was time for our romantic candlelight dinner with a big lightbulb at H Grill. The ambience was great but it rained and we had to shift to the indoor area. Arrghhh what a disappointment but nevermind, can still admire the scenery around....Food was not too bad though and it was the companionship that was great!

After dinner, when we were in the room, there came a group of staff who delivered my bday cake and sang bday song. Was meant to be a surprise but they did it to 2 other bday persons at the restaurant. Hee so I know what they are up to! But it was still sweet of XP to plan for it.

Batam 2010 - Day 1

Holiday is supposed to be a fun and happy time but apparently, this is not the case for me :( At least for today :( It started off badly in the morning when Little Arielle refused to cooperate. She din like the clothes which I have chosen for her and me, being the stubborn one also refused to change it. So she started throwing tantrums which made all of us unhappy. Even my MIL came over to check what happened.

Finally, she came to terms with it and we managed to get out of the house. Throughout the journey, she just liked to have some small irritating actions which really made you frustrated. That made me wonder if she is a girl cos her behaviour is really like a BOY!

After arriving at Batam via ferry, we were greeted by the friendly guide and was in the coach waiting for the rest to arrive.

Managed to visit a few interesting destinations but that did not make my mood better. In fact, it got worst along the way!

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day....

Little Arielle took part in the Gap Casting contest and on Monday, Mummy Me blasted my dept's email and was requesting for votes. When Tue and Wed came, it became more interesting because we adopted the 'You help me, I help you' method by soliciting votes from the other contestants.

So I will vote for that person's kid and in return, the person will do so for me. Arrgghh this is so fun...At least can get to know more friends and this made the contest interesting in some ways :)

Mini Reno - Blind is Done

The workers came and done up the blind this afternoon. XP took half day to make sure that everything is in order. And I just need to be home to see the completed works....Another layer of added privacy :)

Mama Rocks!!

I was still scratching my head and getting myself all frustrated whenever I thought of how to remove the guage on Little Arielle's knee cap. While I feel like cursing the person who 'pasted' this over her knee cap, on second thought, she meant well too....

When Little Arielle came home this evening, I was so surprised to see that the guage is gone! Upon checking with her, she told me that 婆婆 was the one who removed for her. Arrgghhh I was so amazed! It seemed to be a very neat job!

Sigh....the more I look at Little Arielle's wound, the more headache I was! How to get that stupid guage out leh?? Bought the sodium chlorine solution and hoped that this can help to cleanse her wound and have the gauge removed. Else really need to get a professional to do the job. That means a doctor lor....

Missed It :(

Last Friday, Mummy Me saw an ad which says Christmas Babies Model Search. Have been thinking over the weekend whether I should let Little Arielle participate in it because the appointment is only available during weekend and that means that Mummy Me will have to take leave to bring Little Arielle for the photoshoot.

Finally, decided to go for it and called the agency to book an appointment. To my horror, all the dates are taken and there is none left :(

Arrgghhh I am so disappointed!!

Gap Casting @ Vivo City

One of the online sellers posted in FB and mentioned about this casting at Gap. Woohoo....that got me all excited! Even though that there might be just a tiny bit of chance, I still want to give it a try. So after lunch, I quickly got XP to send us to Vivo City as the last casting for this weekend is at Vivo. It's a pity that XP couldn't join us as he has something on in the afternoon. So, it's just Little Arielle and Mummy Me....

We went straight to the store and there was already a queue forming outside the store. Checked with the staff and he mentioned that I must obtain the receipt which showed proof of purchase of at least $80 worth of Gap products before joining in the queue. It took me quite a while to choose an ideal item because whatever I want is not available :( Finally, managed to choose a nice red dress (hee which she can wear during CNY) and a pair of nice leggings (hmm, for our Japan trip in Feb). That cost me $88 :) Ahh....I was quite happy with my purchase! After the purchase, we did not queue straightaway cos I thought of getting the cute Xmas hat clip for Little Arielle. I was hoping that there is Watsons at Vivo and was lucky to really find one! But it was not easy to get there cos we used the wrong escalator!! Anyway, the clip wasn't cheap! Cost me $5 for it! At the same time, I got Little Arielle's antiseptic for her wound and got her bread from BreadTalk. So after all the run about, we were finally in the queue. Quickly helped Little Arielle put on the legging and it wasn't easy cos I was afraid of hurting her wound. Finally was done with that! I'm just so tired! Luckily Little Arielle wasn't grouchy even though it's her nap time. Gave her bread to eat and she was pretty cooperative.

We stood in the queue for 1hr 45 mins! Oh my....I cannot believe myself! The shoot took only about 10 mins and waited for the pic to be developed for another 10 minutes!

I Just Knew It!

The gauge stayed with Little Arielle for a night and I thought of removing it for her this morning.
Felt totally xianz when I realised that it was indeed stuck to her skin!! Oh man....this is gonna be difficult :( Jiat lard lah! Really don't know how to have it removed!!

Humpty Dumpty Had A Great Fall!

We were on our way to attend Little Arielle's art class. I just got off from XP's car and the next moment, Little Arielle has already fallen in front of me :( I did see her run but she was too fast for me to grab her. And before I knew it, she has already tripped and fell! I hear her sobbing and she kept saying it's very painful. I did not take a look at her wound and the only thing that is at the back of my mind is to quickly bring her to the CC's office as I knew that they will definitely have a first aid kit.

Placed Little Arielle on the seat, lifted up her dress and realised that her fall was really bad!! This is the first time in 4 years of her life that she fell and bled. Arrgghh :( She was crying loudly too but stopped immediately when she was offered some sweets. Hmm, so does it mean that it is not so painful after all? *The bloody fall!* - Uploaded on 11 Dec 2010

The staff was concerned that Little Arielle would brush against her wound and kinda of insisted to place a gauge over the knee which was more serious. After the medication was in place, I brought Little Arielle for her class. Hmm....am I mean?

Remember the photo contest that I submitted few days back? The result is out today and we are one of the 3 winners! Ahhhh so happy leh:) But actually I also don't know what is the prize that I am getting. I guessed the feeling of being one of the winners is just happy enough :P

Stuck @ L

Little Arielle can be so good in remembering those junk stuff but when it comes to actual academic work, she is really very weak. Arrghhh I'm getting worried and wondered if she is able to survive through her kindergarten, Primary school blah blah blah....

She has been working on the alphabets but somehow, she is always stuck at Letter L and cannot proceed further. Hmm is it really so difficult to remember? I think when it comes to time tables, she will faintz....

Sigh....
