Just You & Me!

Mama had to go for her review at the hospital today so here I am, alone with Little Arielle today! The morning started off well as she woke up at about 8.45am, giving me some time to do blogging as I was up at 8am.

Once she is up, I won't have the luxury to continue with what I am doing. Took her for a bath, gave her her milk, find some time to eat my MacDonald breakfast (ordered by XP hee), wash her clothes and then after that wash my clothes! Thereafter, had to hang them up to dry. Oh my, I am like a typical housewife leh! Doing nothing but chores today! After getting all the work done, I went out with her to the post office to have some items sent out. Luckily we were back early cos shortly after, it was raining cats and dogs! What a sudden downpour!

Had to quickly keep the laundry and Little Arielle was all ready to help. She carried the dry clothings and placed them on the bed. Not bad, still a little clever to place it on the bed instead of onto the floor (hmm, I din teach her where to put hee). After which, she was tired cos it was already 12.40pm. Had her placed in the yao lan and she was in her dreamlands in less than 5 minutes! Hmm, it goes to show how tired she was!

XP suddenly came back home. Thought that he took half day leave to keep us company but well, it not. He only said over the phone that he is coming back to drop something off. Hmm, was thinking what is so important that he needs to come back specially during lunch to drop off. Moreover, it was raining so heavily leh!

Hahaha, when he reached home, he was half drenched! Realised that he took the public transport and did not have a brolly with him! Went to peep at that "important" item of his and realised that he has brought home the laptop meant for me!!! So exciting leh! I din expect it to be so early cos he mentioned that the store would only have stock from 21 Jul onwards, which is another 2-3 weeks later! Hee, so glad that he was back hahaha! Anyway, will wait for him to help with the installation of all the necessary program before I start using it!

Hee, okie, enough of my excitement! Back to Little Arielle. Heard her voice at about 2.30pm and immediately went over to carry her up. Brought her back to my room and placed her on my bed. Was surprised that she actually fell asleep leh! As she was sleeping very close to the edge and I din wanna wake her up, I placed a mattress next to her so that in case she fall, she would land on the mattress. Haha, this is the first time I am using my brains and it works man cos she really flipped and fell off the bed but was okie cos she landed on the mattress. Hengz ah! Else she would kena bumps and bruises again! So while she sleeps, I continue with my blog until I myself was a little tired and went to sleep for a while. Had wanted to bring her out for shopping but I guessed with the rain and the tired me, I just dun feel like going out lor! Wanted to sleep and Little Arielle woke up instead. Win liaoz lor. So in the end, I did not really sleep at all. She went out and played with her grandparents and I continue to blog while waiting for XP to come home from work....

Another Lazy Sunday....

Probably we had too much fun and activity yesterday and thus, there is nothing much to be done today. So we had the usual routine - breakfast, followed by Little Arielle's nap and afterwhich, laze around time in the house.

We went out early for dinner today as we din have lunch. Initially, I thought that we are gonna eat somewhere near to our place but was surprised when XP took a different route. He just went walking and walking with Little Arielle and I was trying to catch up behind cos his pace was too fast! After walking for about 15 minutes, I then realised that he is walking to Whampoa market. What seh 是远的 lor! Gotta go up so many overhead bridge and need to cross so many roads! Majiam go on hiking trip leh!

Finally, we reached the Whampoa market. Had satay and a cold sugarcane drink! Best leh!

What is even more best is that we proceeded to collect our durian at Sindy, our favourite durian stall. Simply love the butter durian that they have! So much so that you need to pre-order beforehand cos they always run out of stock! We knew about this cos we did not manage to get the durians for the last 2 rounds. Finally, today, they managed to keep one for us!

After getting our durian, which cost us $27, we gotta walk all the way home again! Decided to stop over at this famous one and only dragon fountation in Singapore. According to XP, this dragon fountain denotes the central of Singapore and even thought the fountain has already dried up, they did not tear it away. But not sure why they are not filling up the water since they decided not to tear it away. Probably it's due to some 风水 beliefs. Was quite happy to be able to see this fountain finally as XP has been telling me how majestic it looks like but I always did not have the chance to see it for myself. Just feel that the worksmanship is done so well and it really made the dragon looks alive!

After some "history" lessons, we continued our journey back home. Hmm, just in time to watch the last espisode of 辛十四娘 and enjoying our durian at the same time! Oh, it's simply heavenly....We shall take a step further as we will drive up North to Desaru in about 2 weeks' time to enjoy more durians!!!

Red Eye Again?

Was waken up by Little Arielle's cries at 7am+ today. Aiyo, din give me a chance to sleep late on a Sunday morning! Anyway, XP was trying to feed her milk and subsequently asked me to pass him her eyedrops. Realised that her red left eye came back again.

I did not give her the eyedrops yesterday as she had actually recovered since Friday. Hmm, din noe what happened that caused it to recur again.

Was glad that we still went to the doctor on Friday even though she was already okie. At least, we managed to get the eyedrops else I would be blaming myself for not bringing her!!

Little Arielle is exactly 21 months today! Cannot believe that she's gonna turn 2 years old in 3 months' time!! Time really flies and how I wish it could stop for me to savour the sweet memories and beautiful moments!!

The above shows our happy family with XP's favourite sports - golf, Mummy's fat fat figure (hoping to slim down) and cute cute Little Arielle! Hoping to have family member number 4 soon....

The Deadline

Hee hee, XP has given a grace period of 1 month for Little Arielle to wean off her tu-tu. Well, I'm glad to announce that it's the deadline TODAY but sad to say that she is still stuck to it!! Hahaha!!

Hmm, when can she do without her tu-tu??

Home Alone....

My man left the two of us at home as he sets off for a charity golf game at about 6am+ this morning. The venue is at Raffles Country Club. It has been a long time that he goes for a game during the weekend eversince Little Arielle is born.

He has been thoughtful to want to spend the weekend with the family. As such, he would usually schedule his game during weekday. But he had to go this time round as his brother gotta withdraw from the game at the eleventh hour due to some urgent matters and as such, he was asked to go so that the fees paid will not be wasted.

Even though so, he would ensure that my breakfast and lunch is taken care of. I only remembered him telling me that he has bought chwee kuen, ji cheong fun, bread and tau huay for me. Those were said while I was still half asleep cos it was 6am+.

When I woke up later and went to take a peek at the food items. Wow, it's really as per what he said. Hmm, he must have got up real early to get my food ready as it was still a little bit warm when I ate it!

So sweet of him hee! At least it wont make me feel so frustrated being at home alone with the little rascal! Little rascal has been well-behaved so far. Happily watching her Barney and Mickey Mouse cartoon. Hope that she remains this way until her daddy comes home!

Looking forward to him coming back in the afternoon!

Hi, Dr Ho....

That's my PD and by saying Hi, it means that we have made a visit to her clinic today! In fact, I should have brought Little Arielle to see her long ago. However, due to work committment and she is not on duty on certain nights, the whole visit dragged until today. But, luckily, Little Arielle's condition wasn't really that bad.

I was kind of hesistating whether to bring Little Arielle to the doctor as she was already fine looking today. Her eyes wasn't red eversince yesterday and I din really see her rubbing it. But since, she kept saying that she wants to see doctor and mama was telling me that her right eye was a bit red today, I thought I shouldn't take the risk and just bring her to check to have a peace of mind.

She was very excited and was happily walking around with her squeaky sandals outside the clinic. Her shoes were so noisy that everyone's attention was on her. By seeing that there is a queue, you would know that it's Dr Ho on duty tonight! Luckily we were early so we din really have to wait long.

Dr Ho thought that she got sore eyes due to infection from other family members but no one in the family had sore eyes recently. So she done a thorough check and mentioned that she has a bit of runny nose and the sore eyes might be caused by it.

She prescribed some eye drops and medication for Little Arielle and luckily the damage is only $48. Not bad lah, $48 for a peace of mind, it's worth the money lor!

After the visit, we had dinner and went back home. I guessed she must have been tired after the playing and walking while we were at the clinic so she fell asleep at about 10pm!

Hee hee, hengz ah, that's how I manage to do my blogging now....

Getting Closer....

Sleeping alone hee!!

Little Arielle has been sleeping between us for quite some time. Well, can't exactly remember since when, but definitely more than 10 months liaoz! Squeezing 3 person on a queen-sized bed is a torture cos basically we can't really move much as we are afraid of hurting her. Well, instead of us hurting her, it's the other way round lor. Sometimes, she would kick me hard either on my back or my stomach!!!

We have been trying for the longest time to actually get her to sleep on her own mattress but everytime, she would cry so bitterly until we got no choice but to let her sleep with us. Either that or we are too tired to wait for her to fall asleep (to shift her down to her own mattress). Therefore, sleeping on her own only materialised during weekends cos we sleep late and thus, we can carry her down when she falls asleep.

But, from this week onwards, Little Arielle has been very naughty! She din wanna sleep early until XP was quite annoyed and din allow her to sleep with us. Instead, he would accompany her on her mattress until she falls asleep. As such, it is pretty successful for the past few days whereby she will sleep on her mattress. Of course, daily she would wake up at different timings, go to XP's side, pat on his shoulders to get him to carry her up to our bed. XP will do so cos he din wan her to kick up a fuss in the middle of the night.

Right now, she is sleeping on her own mattress again and hopefully, she will get used to this new arrangement....

Hong Sim Again?

Aiyah dun noe what is wrong with Little Arielle these days? She seems to have gone back to her long long time ago's bad habit - sleep late!

Although we scared her by putting her outside (dark place), she only cries for a while and when she was brought into the room, she would lie on the mattress for a few minutes. Then quietly, she would start to stand up and walk around the room again!

Despite putting her outside for a few times, she still repeats what she did! In the end, off the tv after my program has ended and lights off then she is willing to sleep!

Win liaoz lor! Does it mean, no tv program for me??

Wrong Way of Educating a Kid

Little Arielle was playing with her toy and as she held the toy up, it actually hit mama on her arm. For this, she was being beaten on her palm and following which, mama was showing her the correct way of holding the toy.

I witnessed her "beating" and was telling mama that she should tell Little Arielle the reason why she was being smacked on the palm. This is the correct way of teaching a child. Other than being punished for the wrong things that they have done, they need to know where they have gone wrong.

So mama started to tell me that she was teaching Little Arielle the right way of holding the toy. But she is not answering to my question!!! Arggh.....was wondering if I had phrased my question wrongly until she couldn't understand or she simply couldn't get it! So the other family members were all around cos we were actually having dinner at that time! So I went around asking each of them to ensure that my question was asked in the correct manner. So basically, everyone understood where I was coming from, all except mama!! So, bo pian, I told Daddy to explain to her cos probably husband and wife would have the same wavelength!

And, I supposed she kind of know what I meant, I really hope she really understands! She still couldn't explain why she smacked Little Arielle cos Little Arielle did not hit mama on purpose! Was telling Daddy that I must have been beaten up for nothing when I was young!

Poor Little Arielle and ME!!!

Status of Red Eye!

Hmm, seems like after a day, Little Arielle's red eye still persists. Dun noe whether is it because the air is dusty or is it because she is heaty?? Or because her hands are dirty and she starts rubbing her eyes?? Aiyah, so many possibilities! Also dun noe what is what??

Anyway, XP said that if she is not well after tomorrow, we will bring her to the doc in the evening!

Hopefully things get better....

Slept Alone!

Little Arielle is very "hong sim" today and she just seems to have unlimited energy that needs to be fully expelled out before she is tired! I was already lying on the bed watching tv at about 9.45pm. Decided not to surf the net as I just want to finish my tv program and be off to bed at 11pm. And as usual, XP was already fast asleep! Little Arielle was lying between us. Usually, she would doze off in a while as the lights are dimed and the volume of the tv is lowered. However, she is different today!

She would climb up and down and kept disturbing her daddy so much so that he got so irritated, grabbed her up, opened the door and placed her outside. But of course, before he could close the door, the teary gal quickly ran in. XP told her that she would sleep on her own mattress if she is going to behave in this way again.

Tried to do some reading with her and hoping that she would sleep asap. Well, it din work. Off the lights for a while but she is still fidgeting here and there!

Finally, my tv program has ended and I off the lights. She was still moving around, tossing to and fro. Worst thing is, she kept kicking me! Now my turn to get irritated and I grabbed her and placed her on her own mattress! Told her that if she is not gonna sleep, I gonna open the door and she would be kept in the dark!

She was scared and din dare to move. I went back to sleep and I din hear her coming to me which she would usually do so cos she din like to sleep alone on her mattress.

In the end, I fell asleep! Visited the toilet at about 5am+ and I saw her asleep on her own mattress. Hee hee shall try it again tomorrow night and hopefully she can sleep on her own!

Red Eye Gal

The first thing that mama told me when we stepped into her house was that Little Arielle's left eye was slightly red. She said that she did not hurt her eyes today and not sure why it happened.

Thought that it might be due to insufficient sleep and would monitor her situation and hoping that it will recover after a night's sleep....

An Accident Night!

Aiyo just dun noe what has happened to Little Arielle tonight!! She had so many accidents leh! First, she had her fingers "kiap" between the 缝 of the wardrobe. I did not witness this cos she was with XP. Only heard from XP that he was opening the wardrobe and did not realised that she has placed her fingers there. Luckily XP did not exert much force to close the wardrobe so she did not bleed and neither was there any blue-black. But of course, she was still crying her heart out!


She became pretty cranky after the "kiap". Insisted to have the biscuits that we bought for her today but I refused as it was already late. Placed it on the cupboard next to the bed. Din know that she would stand on the bed and stretched out her hands to reach for the biscuits. In the end, she went over the bed and fell on her fours!

I saw her from a distance that she is gonna fall but was too late to stop her. Was fortunate that she did not suffer any major injuries but only some bruises under her right armpit. Kept on examining her to ensure that there are no hidden injuries. Luckily, only that bruise under her armpit.

Of course she cried and we managed to calm her down after a while. Next, she started to walk around the room and dun noe how it happened but I just knew that I accidentally knocked into her and luckily this time round, I was fast enough to grab onto her so as to prevent another accident from happening!

Aiyo, so much shock from her this evening leh!!!

PlayGround @ Big Splash!

KidZ WalkZ & Movie by the Beach!

This event marks the finale of the month long National Family Celebrations! It's held at the PlayGround @ Big Splash. I was still contemplating yesterday if we should go today as I know that it would be very crowded and I supposed parking would be expensive too! I was sounding XP out cos he would be the ultimate decision maker! Hmm, seems like I have managed to "convince" him to go hee!

We had our breakfast at my usual fishball noodle stall, followed by meeting up with someone at City Hall to pass something and thereafter headed to OLA to view showflat. This is one of the new project launched today and it is really a very luxury project! So much so that they are asking for psf about $1260. Wat seh, 杀人放火 leh! Their units are quite big and so it means that any one unit there can easily command a price of more than $1m! Hmm, if we really had that kind of money, we could have got ourselves a landed property instead! Anyway, it's just for viewing pleasure! We headed straight back home after that! Little Arielle had her usual nap and thought that it would be better to go after her nap so that she would not be tired there! I also took the opportunity to sleep! Cos it's only during weekend that I can have such luxury!

Little Arielle woke up at 4pm+ while her mummy was still sleeping hee! I woke up slightly later when I heard XP complaining that he is hungry (yet to have lunch cos breakfast was late!) So I quickly pack all her things and we were out of the house at about 4.45pm. We went to have our "lunch" first before proceeding to the PlayGround. By the time we reached, it is already about 5.30pm. We managed to park our car at Singa Inn (hee hee, free parking wor! But actually for golfers and patrons to their restaurant only, nevermind, we bo chap! Anyway, still got a lot of empty lots mah!)

We din manage to join in for the KidZ WalkZ which starts at 5pm. It is basically a 1km walk with your kids and probably try to do some bonding during this walk?? So, we just went in and I registered to be a U member which I think I already am. Nevermind, the registration is actually to get the following goodie bag:

Actually, not really that goodie cos there is nothing much inside leh! There is a red tote bag sponsored by SingTel, a small packet of milo (125ml only!), a small bottle of mineral water by NTUC Income (only 310ml), 1 strawberry cream roll by Sunshine, 3 vouchers, namely Sushi Teh (15% off total bill), Gloria Jeans (buy 1 get 1 free) and Swensens (1 for 1 Ice Cream Sundae). The 3 red rulers look alike are basically something that when you hit hard at it, it actually coils round you. Hmm, dun noe how to describe!

Decided to just walk around the area to see what they have in store for us. Hmm, the usual games stall that looks boring! So, in the end, we decided to walk by the beach with Little Arielle! So on the way out, I managed to get free popcorns and balloons ~ Compliments from SCB!

The next exciting program that they have would be Movie by the Beach featuring Ratatouille that is gonna start at 7pm. Wow, how romantic to watch by the beach leh but XP was not in favour. So he suggested to walk around elsewhere and to come back here at about 8.15pm for the highlights of the evening ~ Fireworks Display!

We went to NTUC at Marine Parade to use up my NTUC linkpoints as it will expire on 30 Jun. So before I forget, we might start to redeem it! Hmm, din know Little Arielle can also get toys from NTUC leh! Look at her 战利品:

Din know it was already 8.15pm when we left Marine Parade NTUC. Got XP to quickly drive back to the PlayGround as we din wanna miss the fireworks. Wow, the queue to get into East Coast was very long! So much so that driving on the expressway seems to be a better option. We decided to go in via Fort Road! The queue is still long but at least it's still moving. We parked at the same place and quickly ran to the PlayGround. Luckily, the movie has yet to end. So we decided to watch the movie and thereafter enjoy the fireworks.

Since Little Arielle din like to sit on XP's shoulders, I brought her to the grass patch and I sat down, with her sitting on my lap. Hmm, was happy that she managed to stay still for the rest of the movie which could have been easily half an hour. An idea strike me ~ to bring her to the movies in the real cinema! Hmm, shall we try??

After the movie, we were asked to go back to the PlayGround and we were wondering where the fireworks would be presented as the place is full of tentages! Before we know it, the pomp pomp sound came by....Enjoy....

The fireworks was short but enjoyable! What a good way to end the night....

Fun @ Ikea Tampines

Finally, Friday has arrived! It's time to spend precious moments with my Little Princess! XP decided to bring us to Ikea Tampines. Hmm need to replenish energy first before we start our "windown-shopping".

So here we are, dining at their famous Ikea restaurant! We ordered poached salmon (my favourite) and their all time favourites ~ Ikea Chicken Wings! Yummy yum yum! It has been a long time since we ate at Ikea eversince we are not staying in Punggol. What a great time to relive the moments....
