Coming to Terms

Sigh....it actually took XP so many weeks to come to terms that Little Arielle needs to visit the doc again. Well, apparently, it's the same old issue again -> her cough :( Don't know why this sickening virus just refused to go away!

Had it not been XP who chanced upon this article that a woman got TB due to constant cough, he wouldn't be so anxious to want to bring Little Arielle to the doc.

This is what I call 泛贱!

Age Makes A Difference!

Mummy Me chanced upon this Kids Modelling Contest at Marina Square yesterday. However, I did not managed to ask for more details at the information counter as we were on our way home. I decided to send them an email as I couldn't locate any information on their website.

A lady from the organising agency - Impact Models called me earlier on. She was very nice and gave me all the details. I was getting all excited when she suddenly mentioned that the age group applicable for this contest would be between 4 - 7 years old. So, I was asking if 4 years old refers to the birth year or they are basing on the birthday month? The lady mentioned that they would only allow a maximum of 2 months difference i.e. child will have to be 3 years and 10 months as of Jun 10.

I was quite disappointed and tried to negotiate for an approval but was rejected flatly. Anyway, she explained that they are concerned over some kids who might have stage fright if they are of a younger age. I mentioned that Little Arielle would be participating in the Little Miss Glamourous contest this Friday and was hoping that there would be some leeway. But well, the answer is still No.

Anyway, she was kind enough to suggest an audition whereby we can arrange to go down to the agency for them to assess Little Arielle's potential. If she is suitable for this line, they would recommend her to do the portfolio which probably would cost around $500. If she is not suitable, then we can save the money.

Hmm....probably can just bring her down for an audition since it's FOC :)

战袍!

Was at the atrium of Marina Square where I saw the John Little Sale. Actually I had no intention to go and take a look but Little Arielle was very keen since they are selling Disney Princess stuff.

Since we are there, I thought of using up my $10 voucher else I always did not have the chance to do so. Wanted to get a pencil case and perhaps some other stationery for her when something caught my eyes!! Disney princess costume hee!!

I quickly went over to take a look and was pretty interested to get the Snow White set for Little Arielle. I just couldn't take my eyes off the bright blue and yellow combination. But Little Arielle was least interested! She insisted to get Sleeping Beauty instead! Even though I tried to convince her to get Snow White for the last 10 minutes, she was still determined to have Sleeping Beauty. I wonder if this is called stubborn?

Since she was so persistent, I decided to go along with it. I guessed she chose Sleeping Beauty because it was pink. In any case, this would be her 战袍 for this Friday's contest. With this purchase, I would not spend $$ for her to do up her hair. Perhaps just a nice tiara clip will do the trick....I hope :)

Happy Too Early!

Hmm, just when I thought Little Arielle was able to control her bladder, like what she did last night....She woke up in the middle of the night and told XP that she wet her bed.

Arrgghhh....XP was kind to wake up and clean up for her hee. I think it's also because Little Arielle asked for daddy hee....

Amazing Breakthrough

XP and I were surfing the net when suddenly, Little Arielle appeared besides me. She said that she need to pee! I was quite surprised and the first question was, did you wet your bed? And she said,"No!"

Yeah!! She can auto wake up to pee....So happy :) So it meant that we don't have to wake up her to do so :P

Another milestone achieved....

Cute Hotcakes!

XP got craving for MacDonald's breakfast and we ordered the buddy meal where there is an extra set of hotcakes. We decided to let Little Arielle eat the hotcakes, even though I remembered that she doesn't like it.

When the food arrived, Little Arielle requested me to use the rice mould to make shapes out of the hotcakes. So I acceded to her request and spent quite some time making this ->

Her reluctuant look immediately appeared after taking a few bites! Already added some honey for her and she still did not want to eat! Aiyo, food waster! So Mummy Me gotta be her rubbish bin :(

Kite Flying Time!

Mummy Me can't wait to fly my new kite which I bought yesterday at AMK NTUC Xtra! So off we went to the open field next to SengKang complex this evening. I had waited the whole day for this moment to arrive. It was so exciting!

We were quite disappointed when we did not managed to get the kite flying up. XP was already all sweaty from the run but the kite still did not fly :( The verdict was - bo hong!

In the end, Little Arielle entertained herself by blowing bubbles. Luckily, Mummy Me brought that along as contingency plan hee.

And....so coincidence that we met XP's ex-colleague and family at the field. So their son, Jordon, played with Little Arielle for a while :)

Semi-Finalist of Little Miss Glamourous

Mummy Me was super happy and excited this morning! Happened to check my email and saw one with this subject title -> Little Miss Glamourous (2nd Semi-Final). I quickly opened up the email and was pleased to know that Little Arielle has been selected as one of the semi-finalist for the Little Miss Glamourous contest organised by Motherhood magazine. It would be held on 4th Jun at Singapore Expo!

Yipppeee!!

The only concern is hmmm....would she get stage fright? Would she be able to understand the questions in English and reply accordingly?

Well, watever lah....don't think she can make it for the finals. I guessed it would just be an experience for her! Afterall, 提名就是一种肯定!

Elicina Plus Cream

Bought this cream from an online spree which is said to be able to get rid of scars. Little Arielle has a lot of this especially after she recovered from the mosquito bites.


Just tried the cream on her tonight and will promise to diligently apply for her. Hopefully would be able to see results soon!

Walk Walk @ Parkway

Since Mummy Me and XP were both suffering from bad headache yesterday, we did not go out at all. As such, we had to make full use of the last few hours of our Sunday before the working week starts tomorrow :)

XP suggested to go Parkway to walk walk. That's indeed a good idea since we haven't been there for a while. Decided to take a bus there instead of driving :P

And as usual, Little Arielle simply enjoyed the kiddy rides!

Unique ROM

Mummy Me's friend of 8 years is finally getting married today! I am so happy for her!! Her ROM was held at an interesting venue -> a Chinese temple! Most of the time we would have heard of wedding venues at churches, gardens, hotels and seldom do we hear chinese family holding it at temple.

Whichever the case may be, the venue is not of importance. Most important of all, it's the love between the couple!

It was a simple ceremony but everyone was full of blessings and well-wishes for this newly-wed!

We look forward to her customary wedding in Sep! Congrats to Jenny & Tat Yeong! Wish you everlasting happiness :)

Bad Headache....

For no apparent reason, XP and Mummy Me both suffered from severe headache. As a result, we stayed at home almost the whole day trying to get some rest.

Luckily, Little Arielle did not insist to go out and was quite cooperative. She even volunteered to take care of me! Hopefully, she would still do the same when I am in my 60s....hahaha :)

T3 on a Friday Evening

Here comes weekend!! And our Friday evening was spent at T3. Had dinner there and brought Little Arielle for some kids' activities i.e. drawing & playing at the playground. Thereafter, we explored the area since it's a flat parking fee of $2.50 for the first 3 hours, after 6pm.

Wanted to go to the viewing gallery but realised that it was still under construction. Hmm hopefully it would be ready for our next visit :)

Lesson 18 Little Notes

Sigh....batt became low and I couldn't take pic of Little Arielle's class today. Anyway, I noticed that she kept wanting to stand beside this girl which she did not do so for the previous few lessons.

Thereafter, she revealed the reason to me. Cos she was wearing a hairband with a little crown. Faintz....so she kept staying near her to 'bio' her hairban!!

Like that also can!

Barbie Wristlet

Little Arielle got another free gift! Yah, as usual, from mama's friend. In addition, those aunties even gave her some coins to put into her wristlet....Aiyo, how to return all these 'favours' leh??

Diaper Free Day!

Finally, Little Arielle is free from diaper for the whole day. Got to know from Little Arielle that mama has finally agreed to let her be diaper free during her afternoon nap.

Well, she just gotta do an extra step of waking her up half-way through the nap to get her to pee. The other way is not to let her drink so much water before her nap which mama is still trying to convince herself not to do so.

Whatever the case may be, I'm glad that Little Arielle has achieved this milestone. Even though she took so much longer compared to the other kids, I am okie as long as she got the same outcome. At times, certain things just let nature takes its own course :)

Diaper Free Night

I slept early last night while Little Arielle was still awake. Early this morning at about 6am, I found her sleeping next to me without pants/diapers on. I started feeling around the bed for wet spots but was surprised to find none.

I asked Little Arielle if she wants to have her diaper since she still wants to sleep and she said she did not want to have it. Then I asked her to wake up and visit the toilet, anticipating some nasty rejection from her but she was obliging.

After her pee, she continued with her sleep. Hmm....seems like she is ready to be diaper free at night too?

Visit to Jacob Ballas Children's Garden

Little Arielle's school is organising an outing to the Jacob Ballas Children's Garden on 27 May. We are required to pay a fee of $5. I was jokingly telling Little Arielle that I don't have money to pay for her outing. So she asked me if XP has. I told her that he doesn't have. And so, she cannot go.

She pointed to my clothes and kept asking me why am I wearing my clothes. I told her that of course I need to wear clothes. She insisted to know why am I wearing this set of clothes and I told her it's for work lah!

Faintz....she just wants me to say it's for work cos got work means got $5 for her outing! See how cheeky this girl is!

So Many Friends!

Mama brought Little Arielle to NTUC and along the way, she saw quite a few of her friends. So for each friend that she saw, she would stop by a while to chit chat with them. Being a polite gal, Little Arielle will call each Auntie that she saw.

When they reached home, Little Arielle asked mama:"你为什么有这麽多朋友? 我嘴巴酸了leh!!

Peeing on Pants

Ahhh, mama told me that Little Arielle pee-ed in her pants in school! 2 kids laughed at her and were scolded by her teacher.

Aiyo, so big liaoz still pee-ed in her pants....
