Birthday Surprise Part 3

Mummy Me was cracking my head trying to think where to get Disney Princesses balloons for Little Arielle. Hee....must be thinking that I am full of pattern hor :) Just want to make her feel really happy on her birthday! And I knew that the balloons will definitely do the trick!

Tried to get it online but they require purchases above $xx before they will deliver FOC. I wasn't able to get that quantity and I din want to go so far just to get a few balloons. In the end, I asked mama to help me check around Tampines shopping malls and I also posted my query in FB.

FB is indeed powerful! Got a reply from Wendy Tan asking me to check out the Mickey store at Tampines 1. Wanted to go yesterday but was held up with work. In the end, I took the chance to check it out at the store this evening while waiting for my turn at SingTel.

Yes! They really have it! Our eyes just set on this ->

*Isn't it beautiful?* - Uploaded on 03 Oct 2010

Even though it was a bit pricey, we just couldn't like other designs. So XP would be getting this as her birthday gift. The lady said that helium would be provided FOC. I just need to bring the balloons and the receipt on the day that I needed this service.

Oh mine, everything just falls in place nicely! How wonderful :)

The Perfect Dress for the Perfect Occasion!

Little Arielle told me last night that the birthday kid was allowed to wear their home clothes to school. I verified with mama and was told that it was the truth. Was thinking what dress should I let her wear and immediately, this dress came to my mind ->

Yes! I'm sure Little Arielle will look great on her birthday :)

Busy Coordination Day

Since I did not receive any email from the agar agar cake seller, I decided to sms the person instead. His reply was rather prompt and we initially agreed on the delivery between 10am to 10.15am.

I have placed order for the Little Mermaid design and it cost $45 (including delivery). Just when I though that I have done all that is required, I received a call from Mrs Chan. She explained that they were unable to accede to my request of celebrating Little Arielle at my preferred timing of 10.30am as they have a fixed schedule to follow. The only time slot available is 9.15am where the kids will have their refreshments.

Oh no....now need to check if Sweetest Moments can allow me to collect my cupcakes earlier and if the agar agar cake can be delivered before 9am.

Sweetest Moments told me that they can allow me to collect 9am which I don't think I can rush back to school in 15 mins. Asked if I could arrange to collect at 8.45am and the staff asked me to call back on Mon to check. Arrgghh why can't they be more customer centric? It's just another 15 mins earlier!

For the cake wise, the person can't deliver before 9am on the actual day and suggested to deliver a day earlier. Well, no choice lor....

Hope that Sweetest Moments can allow me to collect at 8.45am....

Here Comes the Pillow Case!

Wat biangz! The pillow cases that Mummy Me has ordered almost 1.5 months back has finally arrived, except for XP's one. Yeah....gonna change the pillow covers for Little Arielle and me this weekend.

It's gonna be a good night's sleep and hope that XP's one will arrive soon!

Cupcake Order

Lazy Mummy Me has finally placed the cupcake order for Little Arielle's birthday. It was a task that I was supposed to do last week but come to think again, it's good to be slow too cos they just had a promotion, where I would get $2 off if I self-collect my cupcakes!

Yeah!! Save $2 hahaha....typical auntie hor!

Next is to probably order a small cake that we can cut with my family on her bday night :) and probably a jelly cake for her school's celebration too :) since Feli Jie-jie says it's pitiful for a kid to celebrate birthday without blowing the candles :)

P.S: Aiyah the cupcakes need to order 2 boxes to enjoy the discount :(

Another Spend $$ Opportunity?

Just received an email from Paul saying that they have a Disney Princess Magazine Anniversary happening from 28 Sep to 03 Oct. Not sure what is it but I will definitely drop by either on Sat or Sun to take a look.

Think there is some make over package on sale too. Does it mean I'm gonna spend $$ again! Oh no....

JIT

Yes, it meant Just In Time! JIT for what leh? For Little Arielle's puke! She happily ate peanuts during dinner and that must have made her cough worst! Already told her not to eat it but she just insisted on doing so!

In the end, she was coughing so badly and I went to take a look at her. She told me that she wanted to puke and I quickly brought her to the washroom. Hengz ahh....she managed to puke it into the toilet bowl. Else I gotta clean up her mess lor!

Interesting Find @ City Square Mall

This is our second visit to City Square Mall and we discovered something new today. That is the FOC kiddy cab ride! You just need to pay a $10 refundable deposit and let the staff keep a copy of your IC. There is no limitation to the number of hours which you can use the kiddy cab.

Oh....this is so exciting! Without hesitation, we did the necessary paperwork and Little Arielle was happily enjoying her ride in no time. This is indeed a great way to promote the mall! At least, kids will enjoy window shopping as much as their parents.

They will not complain of tired feets and at the same time, they can have fun in their ride. Best of all, they can eat and drink at the same time. We just have to push them around. How shiok....this really made our shopping trip a happy one :) And, we will be back for more!

Here's the pic of Happy Little Arielle ->

Yeah....Managed to Xchange

Tried to do an exchange of the BloomB dress at the Tampines outlet few days back but their designs were so limited. In the end, I decided to get back the previous pink dress that I like and asked the staff to check for its availability at the Vivo City outlet.

Even though they did not have a new piece, at least still got the last piece. So I requested to reserve it for me and I will exchange it today. So happy that I finally got my hands on it :) It's still fated aferall!

'Reply'

Though it's a simple word, I am just fascinated when Little Arielle knows how to use it. Hmm....is it because the time spent with her is too little until I am amazed with such words that she use.

To mama, she might not even take it to heart.

Whichever the case may be, I'm just happy that she added another word to her list of vocab :)

Get Out!

That's the exact words that XP used on Little Arielle!

The storeroom is already very hot and she just wants to squeeze in with us. Worst of all, she dropped my watch and that really made me mad!

Sensing that I was frustrated, XP yelled at Little Arielle and sent her out of the storeroom. She ran to the living room to cry.

After a while, XP asked me to check what is she doing. I asked her to come over and she din want to. XP walked over and wanted to carry her but she ran away cos she thought that he is going to beat her.

In the end, she was happily carried in her daddy's arms :) Naughty gal!

Monday, September 20, 2010

That's A Good One!

XP told Little Arielle that he loves her and guessed what! Little Arielle asked him why did he scold her and beat her when he said that he loved her....

Steady leh....XP was dumbfounded hee :)

I Hate Craft Work!

The thing that I am afraid when it comes to Little Arielle's school holiday is nothing but the craft work that I would be required to do. That's because my art sucks and it therefore would take a long time for me to do and of course, most of the time, the task is pushed to XP. Although it says to do together with the kids as a form of bonding session, I still feel that Little Arielle is more of a hindrance than of help....

Just when I thought that I can leave everything to XP, he suddenly din want to do because he said that there isn't any coloured paper and it would not be nice if we were to use other paper to substitute! Rubbish lor! Are artists supposed to have weird requirements?

*XP was helping initially....* - Uploaded on 15 Sep 2010

So in the end, instead of him helping, I did it myself!

Elmo Show!

Got 4 free tickets for the Sesame Street show cos I subscribed to 3 years of Motherhood magazine in Jun 10. Luckily managed to persuade Daddy to come along, else, 1 ticket will be wasted.

It was already 7pm and the indoor stadium was less than 1/3 filled. There wasn't any interesting merchandise for us to take a second look. Worst of all, there isn't much food available too!

Anyway, the show started with probably less than 1/2 of the audience filled. When the show was already into half of it, the stadium is still so empty! Proves that not many people are interested siaz....At least, Little Arielle wasn't interested lor. I think the character does make a difference. She knows Barney so well that she can just start dancing even though she is hearing a particular song for the first time. But when it comes to Sesame Street, she can't be bothered at all. Worst of all, she was already restless before half time! Faintz!

So during the break, we thought of buying something to eat so that it can keep Little Arielle occupied for the next half of the show. Wanted to get hotdogs but I don't think I can swallow down a normal hotdog that cost me $8. I can easily get 8 of it at Ikea at this price! The silly snapple cost $5 lor. Bo pian, got 2 bottles and I feel that my $10 can get so many other things outside! The food is really ridiculously expensive!

Finally survived the remaining half hour. Well, can't really say that the show is boring but probably we are not so familiar with Sesame Street. Their backdrop is indeed amazing, so much better than Barney! But too bad....

Faintz....

Guessed what! The US flower girl arrived today at 5pm+! Arrgghh win liaoz lor! Why din it arrive earlier! Then I don't have to waste my $80+ for that Bloom B dress! No use crying over spilt milk....I shall go and exchange for the pink one that I wanted! Yeah!!

So let's talk about the US flower girl dress! Wow, it's really a beauty! So sweet looking until I din regret buying it for Little Arielle! The size just fits nicely! Luckily I choose a size down, else it might be too big for her. But the downside is that she can probably wear a few times only, unless she remains slim and slender :)

Hee....she will be the other centre of attraction tomorrow! I hope :)

"Tia Tia Kei"

We specially went to Vivo straight after Little Arielle's class so that I can get her flower girl dress for Jenny's wedding tomorrow. Yes....it's very last minute cos the dress from US is not here and I don't even know if it is going to arrive today. So, in order not to take the risk, I had to buy another one for her.

So we went to Bloom B and spent almost 45 mins to 1 hr just deciding between 2 dresses. 1 was a pure white dress but simple design. The other is a half white and half pink dress which is very sweet. On one hand, I wanted her to wear the pure white dress cos it resemble more of flower girl dress compared to the other. In addition, Jenny would prefer it to be white too. But on the other hand, the pink one is really so much nicer than the white. Anyway, Little Arielle wanted the white dress over the pink one. That really caught me by surprise. So, I just had to buy that. Even though it's a bit dirty on one side of it. But it is not visible. I also added in a tiara handband for her. Both items cost me over $80! Heart pain siaz....

5th Lesson @ Impact

So fast and it's the 5th lesson already. Paul briefed us today on the upcoming Taka fashion show that is happening around 2nd/3rd week of Oct. Wow, it might clash with our Bangkok trip leh. I really hoped that it will not clash and Little Arielle gets selected. Hmm, 2 wishes at one go. Praying hard that both can materialise!

Anyway, he said that the photos that Little Arielle took recently would be presented to the customer for their selection. Hopefully the client can take a second look at Little Arielle and probably choose her :)

Then Paul told us about the situation on the day of fitting if the kids are selected for the fashion show. It usually starts at 4pm and will end at 8pm. There will be 10 sets of clothes to be changed into and every set needs to have a pic of it taken. There will be 25 kids who will be involved. So you can imagine how xiong is it leh....In addition, need to ensure that the hangers are not lost and we don't dirty the outfit. Sounds stressful siaz....but it should be an interesting experience....

The Barney Experience @ Expo

Today is the day for the Barney show and Little Arielle was quite excited as she kept telling us last night that we are going to see Barney today! Since the show is in the afternoon, I made her take her afternoon nap earlier so that she would not be cranky during the show.

Just when she was already lying on the bed, she suddenly ran to me and asked me to help her with her mucus. I thought it was a one-off thingy but realised that the drip was quite bad. I was worried that she is too sick to go for the show later. So I quickly gave her medication, did whatever I can and hoped that she can fall asleep. Thank god, my request was heard and she managed to sleep for 2 hours.

Got a bit cranky when she woke up but she was soon over the moon when we told her that we are going to the Barney Show!

It was very crowded at the Expo. There were a lot of parents with their little kids waiting to enter. We quickly went in and Little Arielle fell in love with the spinning torch. XP agreed to let her purchase it :)

Shortly after the purchase, the show started. Little Arielle was very excited and started screaming! Best of all, she din want to sit on her seat but rather stand on it to dance. Aiyo, really buay tahan her leh! But I was glad that she really enjoyed herself and love the show so much. It was indeed money well-spent....expect for XP and me. For him, I guessed he felt bored. For me, half of the time, my hands need to be the railing so that Little Arielle won't fall off the chair with her dance!

Hee....after the show, we had a nice dinner at the claypot stall in Bedok. Havent been there for a while and really missed the food.

After the sumptuous meal, we went back and Little Arielle was soon in slumberland :)

The Critical Moment!

Decided to check the US Postal Services site to see what is the status of Little Arielle's dress. Saw the following ->

Your item arrived in SINGAPORE at 11:37 am on September 09, 2010.

So today is a PH then would they deliver tomorrow? Please do so else I really have to buy another dress tomorrow liaoz :(

I Gave Up....

Been waiting indefinitely and there is still no sign of the dress. I think I can give up the idea of receiving it before Sunday :(

Argghhh this is so upsetting! First, cannot wear the nice dress specially bought for this occasion and second, I gotta burn another hole in my pocket!!

Pro Photo Shoot

XP and I specially took leave today for Little Arielle's portfolio shoot. It started raining early in the morning and we made an effort to go out earlier to avoid any unexpected jams. We reached around 10.30am and the earlier model has not completed her shoot yet. I think we waited around half an hour before it was our turn. The little girl's pic was so beautiful that I was worried that Little Arielle's one would not turn out nice.

When it was Little Arielle's turn, I was told to showcase all the clothes for her. Thought that the shoot would be for a few sets of clothes but later realised that only 1 set is required. Arrgghhh, spent extra again liaoz lor! The reason to bring so many sets is because Paul wants to see what looks nice on Little Arielle. We tried the first set and he wasn't satisfied. So tried the second set and she was ready to go.

This is what I call pro photo shoot! Paul actually made an effort to coax Little Arielle. I could hear her laughter clearly and that set my heart at ease. Initially, I was still worried that she would be stiff.

The pic turned out quite well. Even though the little girl in front of her looked even better. But nevermind, she will still be my sweetiepie!

Shiok Shopping Spree!

Perhaps I should say thanks to Paul, for kinda of 'rejecting' the sets of clothes that I brought for Little Arielle. Although he did not reject all, I just suddenly felt that the sets of clothes really suck(arrgghh, I'm doubting my coordination techniques!). Furthermore, the sets of clothes that the other mummies showcased seemed to be so much nicer! Since it's for Little Arielle's portfolio pic, I decided that I should really get something nice for her. Hmm....at such times, physical stores were definitely more appealing!

So we went shopping this evening at Vivo City as I knew they have part of a level that sells lots of kids' clothings! Boy, I did not regret going and was super satisfied with my loot! What was more shiok was that I had a 30% discount voucher for Pumpkin Patch and I was happily grabbing the clothes there!

Din realise that my little darling looked so beautiful! So I bought stuff from Mothercare, Giordano Kids and Pumpkin Patch! Cost me almost $200 for all the loot. Told myself that I would need to work to sustain this high maintenance gal....But I'm sure she would look great during the day of shoot and that made every spending worth it :)

1st Catwalk Lesson

Today is the first lesson for catwalk. While Little Arielle is attending her class, Paul took a look at the outfit that we brought for Little Arielle's shooting on 8th Sep. Hmm....not all pass wor. Need to go shopping for clothes later liaoz! Thereafter, he briefed us on what is expected if there is a fashion show coming up. There would be 4 events that need to be attended. (1) audition - where the child model would be presented to the client for selection (2) fitting - if the child is selected, they would have to go through the fitting session to ensure that the clothes fit well (3) rehearsal - there would be a rehearsal session just a few hours before the show (4) hairdo and make-up - other than the clothes, this is the next important thing in line which is also done a few hours before the show.

He mentioned that there would be a Taka show coming up in Oct and he would be choosing a few kids from Little Arielle's class to go for the show. Hmm....I wonder if Little Arielle stands a chance? I sure hope she does :)

Anyway, another thing that I learnt is that the parents of a child model need to be very free. Cos their schedule can be very impromptu. I really don't know how to handle this part of it leh!! Don't think bosses can be so understanding lor. Anyway see how ba....havent even get her first job wor!

And yah...next week need to bring jacket, hat and sunglass. Think Little Arielle doesn't have a nice cap/hat. Probably can see if I can buy one too either today or tomorrow!

The Choosen Sets

It really took me a while to coordinate 4 sets of clothes for Little Arielle's photoshoot. We are supposed to show the sets to Paul later so that he can help us do a check to see if it would turn out nice on photos.

Arrgghhh....it's so difficult to match the clothes. Realised that Little Arielle doesn't have much denim stuff, let alone clothes that fit her just nice. Bo pian, just have to make do with whatever there is now and see what Paul says later....

Like Father, Like Daughter!

Cannot stand both of them! Was talking to Little Arielle and she doesn't seem to be paying attention to what I said. So I asked her to repeat what I have told her and she was able to do so + must suan me by saying that 听是用耳朵听的吗!

Faintz....this is the exact same words that XP would tell me when he did not maintain eye contact with me when I talk!!!

Nice Pink Ribbons

Little Arielle got nice pink ribbons from one of the jie jie at the bakery. She happily got mama to tie it for her and her precious bear bear!

Status Update

Mummy Me bought a nice beautiful flower girl dress for Little Arielle last Tue. There has been no updates since then and I got very worried because she needs to wear the dress on 12th Sep.

Decided to send the seller an email yesterday and have received a reply this morning informing me that they would be shipping it out by this week. Stressed man....don't know how long is the shipping from US gonna take? Are they going by air or by sea? If by sea, I am dead!

Abacus Vs Ballet

Mama is very against the idea of Little Arielle going for ballet. I have already checked out a good timing and venue for her but she refused to bring Little Arielle for the class. She felt that dancing is something useless and Little Arielle should spend time on doing something more meaningful i.e. learn abacus cos she can use the skills for maths when she grows up. In addition, she is of the opinion that super active kids like Little Arielle should not learn dancing and should be learn something that would tame them down.

While I agree that learning abacus would help Little Arielle academically, she must also have the interest in it. Daddy does not agree that super active kids should not learn dancing. Hahaha, was so surprised with his comment.

In any case, I am not insistent for Little Arielle to learn ballet. And since mama mentioned that she has convinced Little Arielle not to go for it, I shall rest my case. Probably, should really take her suggestion of learning abacus instead :)

Ice Cream Mooncake

Have accepted Feli's suggestion and decided to try ice cream mooncake from Swensens for a change. Passed by Swensens that day and got their promotion brochure. Showed it to daddy and he was happy with this new change :) As today is the last day to place our order to get the 20% discount, we quickly went to get it done after work!

*Cold cold ice cream mooncake for a warmth festival :)* - Uploaded on 31 Aug 2010

Got 2 sets of mooncake. 1 set of 2 pc Disney mooncake which consists 1 milo and 1 strawberry mooncakes. The other set of 4 pc consists of sticky chewy chocolate, chempedak, durian and mixed berries! The thought of it just made me drool! Looking forward to eat it on 22nd Sep :) and hopefully Little Arielle's cough would have recovered by then to enjoy it. The Disney pieces are bought specially for her :P

Zzzzz....

I found out that in order not to make myself so frustrated at night, one way is to ask Little Arielle to sleep early. It's a win-win situation cos she would have sufficient hours of sleep and I can have some time on my own.

Did that today and the feeling is great!

Only downside is that I would probably have less playing time with her. But that is better than having anger hee :)

The Road to Recovery is Jammed!

Little Arielle has been on the inhaler for the past few days. There seemed to be some improvement until this evening when we brought her home. She started coughing continuously and it sounded as though her throat was very itchy.

It made me feel so sad :( Just when there were signs of recovery, it seems otherwise! Arrgghh when is this gonna stop?

Is it her school that fed her with rubbish or she din stop her greedy treats at my mama house?

Cute Question!

Little Arielle was so cute today :) She actually asked my brother this: "你为什么没有找一个女孩子 "gao ying" (means get married in hokkien)? 我要做你的flowergirl leh!"

My brother went HUH!!

FAINTZ....

Teachers' Day Gift

Tada....

Being a parent would need to take care of these gifts too. I don't recall my mom doing this when I was little. Anyway, here's what Mummy Me has prepared for Little Arielle's teachers! Got a card organiser, 1 set of red pens and 1 set of stamps. Interesting right! Hope that Mrs Chan and Miss Huda will like it!

HFMD?

Mama alerted me that there seems to be blisters in Little Arielle's mouth. I got quite worried that I quickly did a thorough check on her i.e. if there is any fever and if there are blisters on other parts of her body.

Thank god, we did not find anything suspicious and concluded that it must be due to her 'heaty' body that caused the blisters in her mouth. Now that she is so weak (cos cough has yet to recover), I am quite scared about her contracting the disease. Hopefully, this bad virus will go away FAST!!!

A Hole in My Pocket!

Yes yes....finally, after much headache, I have finally decided on the following flower girl dress for Little Arielle. While it is a lot more expensive, I feel that it is worth it cos it's really nice and Little Arielle can get to wear twice this year and hopefully more 'tasks' for her next year :) And if I happen to have another girl, this dress can be passed down to her hahahaha! Actually, the more I think of it, the more heartpain siaz! Total amount + shipping cost is about $180 :(

Anyway, 2 worries now. No. 1, the dress is too big for her. Tried to measure her and realised that she is SO SLIM! The dress is definitely gonna be big, just that how big. The second worry is that the dress cannot reach Singapore in time. I think it needs about 2 weeks leh. Praying hard that it can arrive just in time for Auntie Jenny's wedding :) Hopefully, my worry is uncalled for! And I think I need to curb my spending for a while. Someone tie my hands, please!

Barney Tickets!!

Yes, I have finally found the opportunity to collect my Barney tickets which were booked as far back as 10 Aug. It's either no time or the rain that caused the delay and I am so glad to hold the tickets in my hands.

Wonder if Little Arielle is looking forward to the show?

Painful Siaz....

Clumsy Mummy Me sprained my ankle when I was at Sakae Sushi for lunch this afternoon. Was glad that I did not fell down as I was able to hold my balance. But this doesn't mean that the sprain was not painful.

I almost couldn't walk for that instance. Thereafter, realised that my left foot got bruises. And the 'inside' of the feet got biting pain on and off.

Sigh....guessed I couldn't carry Little Arielle for a while else that would make my leg worst.

So sway :(

Ballet for Little Arielle?

Little Arielle did express interest some time ago that she wanted to learn ballet. I din put it to heart cos I remembered someone telling me that they will ultimately walk like ducks hee....

Was at Suntec this evening and saw a group of little girls learning ballet. So she turned to me and said she wanted to learn....

Should I let her learn? My cousin says might cause her front and back to be flat leh....Wat seh....if really true hor then must think twice wor! Front and back is so important to girls/women!

土土Dress

Was at Kxxxy Pxxxxe MS this evening and I went to check out their flower girl dresses. My jaw almost dropped when I realised that their dresses are so 土! Nowadays, no one use sequin liaoz leh....Or at least, not so much for little girls' flower girl dresses. People nowadays use organza and lace mah....

Hengz I got much more alternatives elsewhere :)

Make Up Artpiece

We missed Little Arielle's 1st paid art class on 6th Aug as we were in HK at that time. I requested for last last week's theme so that I can get Little Arielle to draw at home. Hee....got it last week and apparently, did not make time to draw.

Finally, decided to make some time to go through with Little Arielle and thought that she would not irritate me if she has something to do! Sigh....colouring still cannot make it!

Check it out ->

The weather at night was good and XP had the intention to bring the family to Marina Barrage for night kite flying.

All thanks to Little Arielle who caused us not to be able to go :( Why leh? Cos she din take her afternoon nap and her eyes were swollen from her crying today.

So sad :(

2nd Lesson @ Impact

Yes, today is the second lesson. Was quite kan cheong this morning cos we were caught in a jam on our way to class. The ECP after Rochor exit had only 2 lanes instead of the usual 4. As such, there was a bottleneck situation. We guessed the closure of the 2 lanes was for YOG.

In any case, I was already quite anxious about the delay and Little Arielle suddenly became cranky! Kept asking for milk and said that she did not want to attend the class! Ahhh....just felt so irritated with her nonsense at this time and I just shouted at her!

After much rush, we were still late by 10 minutes and class had already started :(

I would not know what she has missed cos the teacher is conducting the class behind closed doors and I'm supposed to be listening to the briefing which luckily has yet to start.

Anyway, today's breifing continued with where we stop last week. In addition, Paul has made arrangement with us to take Little Arielle's portfolio shot which is gonna cost me $180. It was be on 8th Sep. Hopefully, she can cooperate and made the photoshoot successful :)

Whole Day of Crying!!

I'm so tired....from Little Arielle's cries! For almost the whole day!!! Don't know what has gotten into her. She simply irritates us! Yes both of us! And after she kena scolding from me and beating from XP, her cries became louder and continuous :(

Just when she was about to stop, she would create her own spark and the crying continue. Ahhh, you say can die or not! And I really got so irritated by her that I feel like driving her out of the house. The cries is just annoying!

Guessed she must have cried until her eyes are so tired that she fell asleep. Thought that everything would be back to normal when she is up but alas....for no apparent reason, she started to cry again.

Luckily, this time round, I did not feel so irritated cos the chores that I need to do are already done. And hengz ah, she managed to come to a complete stop in a while....

Hmm, I have been thinking. Is it because her name has too much water and that caused her to cry every now and then? But thought that she should be following my happy-go-lucky character?

Fat Fat Parrot

It's Friday and Little Arielle is very excited cos she gets to go for her art class. Just felt happy when she is so enthu about it! Had our ba kut teh dinner before going for class.

Today's theme is to draw parrots. Just felt that Little Arielle's one looked so cute cos it resemble a penguine than a parrot. It's so fat hee. Anyway, realised that her colouring sucks man! I think withouth my touch up, it won't look so nice leh. Seems like she needs more practise in colouring with crayons. She did a pretty good job with colouring pencils. Find that her drawing strokes are getting better though :)

Here's what was taken in class ->

And while she was half way in her painting works, she needed the loo. Brought her there and as usual, she cannot hold and pee-ed on her pants! Arghhh....this is the second time lor! Why can't they tell us earlier that they need the loo :( Anyway, just gave her panty a good rinse and went back to finish up her painting (hee, means she got no panty on!)

Here's the final art work ->

And we quickly went back to the toilet after she has completed and I dried her panty using the dryer. Thought it wasn't completely dry but at least, we will get home soon and she can change out of it....What a night!

Bday 'Cake' from Sweetest Moments

Mummy Me has been cracking my head thinking which bakery to approach for Little Arielle's birthday cake. I wanted something glamourous but at the same time cheap cos it would just be a simple celebration in school. Wanted to email to ask for quotation but always did not find time to do so. I also don't know what am I busy with.

Hee....thanks to my lucky star, Astin! She gave me this suggestion ->

*Cupcakes from Sweetest Moments* - Uploaded on 17 Aug 2010

And I thought it was a great idea! Save all my headache leh! Cheap and good :) Hopefully, XP will agree to a home celebration next year and I can order a 3D big Princess Cake for Little Arielle!

Crying Baby....

Hmm, Little Arielle cried when she got off the car this morning as she wanted to follow us to work. Thought that she would stop crying when she got to my mama's house. But when mama told me about it this evening, she said that Little Arielle just couldn't stop and cried for a very long time!

It took her a long while before she was pacificed to stop and my mama was so tired from the coaxing....Alamak, hopefully she would be okie tomorrow. If you did not see any future posts on this topic, it means that I'm saved from this nuisance!

Fireworks for YOG Opening Ceremony 2010

After shopping at Vivo City, Mummy Me suggested to XP to go to Marina Barrage to view the night flying for kites. Just when we are about to reach, we saw a lot of people by the roadside and they seemed to be waiting for something. XP recalled that there was some celebration going on but just did not know what is it. In the end, we drove past Marina Barrage (managed to saw a few beautiful kites with LED lights in the sky) and u-turned back to join the crowd!

So we also kpo and waited there even though I really had no idea what am I waiting for! In the end, decided to call my mom and check cos she can be quite resourceful at times. She told me that there was the opening ceremony for YOG and there was a display of fireworks. But that's already over. Hmm, I was scratching my head! If it's already over, why in the world are all these people still waiting around?? I decided to ask the lady in front of me and she mentioned that there was a display of fireworks earlier and they stayed behind because they wanted to see if there was more. Had wanted to leave cos it has been 20 minutes and nothing has happened. XP told me to wait until 10pm and if nothing happens, we will make a move.

Thank god that we stayed for another 10 minutes and thus, managed to capture this beautiful sight ->

*Uploaded on 14 Aug 2010*

Thereafter, we decided to go back to Marina Barrage cos we saw one of my friend's car driving there. We wanted to go and look for him to say hello. And luckily, we decided to make this move! Cos we managed to see more fireworks (did not managed to capture one of it cos it only lasted for 5 secs) and the last one was spectacular! Even the nearby building had fireworks coming out from them! It was indeed nicer than the ones displayed during National Day hee!

Enjoy....

It Just Caught My Attention!

Since I have accepted Jenny's request to allow Little Arielle to be her flower girl next month, I have been frantically trying to find a white dress for her. Hmm, apparently not much luck. Finally, saw something at one of the 'fair' at Tanjong Pagar MRT station but did not want to commit to it as I wasn't really confident if Little Arielle can fit. If she can't, they do not accept exchange since it is on a 20% discount. Moreover, it is not a dress that is really ideal.

Instead, I saw another one which caught my attention immediately. Without further ado, I just paid $15 and took the dress hee....

我要疯掉了!

Yup, those words came out from Little Arielle's mouth and hee, cos she learnt from me lor! Aiyah, bad things don't learn, only know how to learn the bad ones!

Afternote: Kena scolded by Feli and Ah Tan cos they mentioned that I should have showed my concern and asked if something has happened to Little Arielle! Opps....

Familiar Looking Thing...

Mama passed me the craftwork that was done by Little Arielle in school. Guessed that she must have got it back from school this morning. There was this cute little train and some other hardcopy artwork.

Was admiring at the colouring works done by Little Arielle for the little train when I suddenly found the wheels of the train very familiar.

*Those wheels were made by me! Using toilet roll and wrapping it with black paper (idea by Ah Tan)* - Uploaded on 14 Aug 2010

Then suddenly, it struck my mind that those wheels were done by me previously :) Ahhh....now I know where my work has gone to hee!

Barney Space Adventures!

Mummy Me can never understand what is so fanscinating about this purple dino that is driving almost every kid crazy?? In any case, Little Arielle is one of their die-hard fan. With the recent frequent advertisement, Little Arielle can even recite,"Hurry, get your tickets now!"

Yah....so Mummy Me must really hurry lor, else later all the tickets are sold out and I will die leh! Already missed the show 2 years ago and should not repeat the same mistake :)

So I set my mind to book the tickets today. Arrghhh, can tell you hor, even though I am IT-Savvy, meddling the stupid online sistic form can really drive me mad!

First, you have to settle your application within 10mins. Arrgghh, with a time constraint, it is really stressful lor. Apparently, the first application wasn't successful as I have exceeded the time limit. The design of the system was bad because, even though you have exceeded the time limit, you would not know until you completed the last question on the form and clicked on 'complete the purchase'. And the reason for being slow in submitting is because, firstly, I have to ensure that the assigned seating is reasonably okie and that screen took a while to display. Secondly, when deciding on the mode of collection, you have to pay via MasterCard in order not to incur any charges for the collection of the tickets. Tried to do so the first time but in the end, realised that it was not possible as I hold a Maybank Visa card. I need to pay via Maybank card so that I can get to enjoy the 12% discount. So in the end, LL lor....gotta pay 20 cents even though I am collecting the same set of tickets at the same authorised agents. Though the amount is insignificant, I just felt annoyed having to pay for it!

Anyway, bo pian since my little princess wanna watch. Spent a total of $60.20 ($57.20 - Cat 2 price + $3 - booking fee) per ticket. Best of all, kids pay the same price too and sistic really knows how to earn $$ by charging a handling fee of $3 per ticket! What is there to handle leh?? Not just use the system to print out the tickets? Anyway, I was glad that I have finally completed this stupid transaction in about 25 minutes.

I bet Little Arielle will be looking forward to the show, happening on 10 Sep, 4pm at Singapore Expo :)

Flower Girl Task

Was so happy when Mummy Me received a sms from Auntie Jenny requesting Little Arielle to be her flower girl for her wedding next month.

Immediately, I agreed without hesitation. Hmm....now the problem is, to get a white dress for her. Hmm, where to find nice white dress leh?

A Quiet 2010 National Day

We were all tired from our holiday. Though it was a fun trip, being tired is uncalled for....Due to this tiredness, we did not have the mood to go out, except for breakfast. The rest of the day was spent on laundry and some cleaning of the house since we were away for so long.

So to keep Little Arielle entertained, we let her watch the new DVD that we bought - Tinkerbell (Lost Treasure) so that I can continue with the cleaning works. Luckily, she was cooperative and did not make me vomit bloodz.

After I'm done with the works, I spent the next few hours uploading our holiday pics and thereafter, online shopping for Little Arielle hee. Should be getting a pair of jeans, a set of top and bottom + a backpack for her :)

*Set at $9* - Uploaded on 09 Aug 2010

*Little Arielle chose the Rabbit backpack* - Uploaded on 09 Aug 2010

So while doing the online shopping, we watched the NDP on tv. For the past few years, we will specially drive out to watch the fireworks but alas, we were too lazy to do so this year.

Just want to stay at home, laze around and hopefully gather mood for work tomorrow :P Little Arielle is lucky, she doesn't have school tomorrow. How nice....

Day 9 - Time to go Home :(

Ahhh time flies leh! Our holiday is over with the blink of the eye! Din do much this morning except to have our breakfast at Federal Palace and thereafter started to pack all our purchases into our luggage.

After that is done, we spent about 1hr in the hotel's business centre, using the internet service.

And, thereafter, we will be taking the hotel's shuttle to the airport and we will be on our way home....

Day 8 - Shopping Day :)

Had breakfast at the same restaurant cos we din get sick of tim sum hee! Thereafter, it's shopping time at Citygate outlets and we bought a lot of stuff. Of course, most of it is for Little Arielle :)

But glad that everyone of us got something for ourselves, with Little Arielle being the biggest winner hee....

Looking for more shopping in our next holiday!

Day 7 - HongKong Disneyland!!

Yeah!! This is the day, this is the day that we will play at Disneyland!! Even though the bed was comfy, I gotta force myself to wake up at 7am to get ready for our day in Disneyland.

XP prepared our instant noodle while I took care of Little Arielle's milk. We were supposed to be out of the hotel at 8am but it took a while to settle Little Arielle cos she was cranky in the morning. In the end, we only left at about 8.30am. As we were staying very near to Disneyland, it only took us about 15 mins to reach.

Little Arielle was excited about the Disneyland's train as it had pictures of Mickey inside. The park has people waiting around even though it is gonna open at 10am. See the power of Disney! Can make people wait beyond 1 hour.

We played the whole day from 10am to 9pm. Little Arielle was very happy and we are happy that she is happy. Most of the time, she was well-behaved. That made our mood good too.

Took a lot of pic and bought a lot too. Spent HK520 just on 5 pieces of pic but it's nice :) Got Little Arielle a Cinderalle dress and a crown and there goes our HK490 (390 for dress, 100 for crown). In the end, XP and I did not get anything for ourselves....sob sob hahahaha!

Finally waited for the 9pm fireworks and thereafter, it's hotel sweet hotel i.e. home sweet home! XP and Little Arielle slept first cos Mummy Me gotta settle them first before I can sleep. Noble me hor hahahaha!

Day 6 - Cable Car Ride @ Ngong Ping

It's a relaxing day today as we only woke up at 8.30am. The inital plan was to go Disneyland today but we decided to do so tomorrow instead since we only wake up at this time. Have been too tired for the past few days! Had breakfast at one of the restaurant called Federal Palace in Citygate shopping mall. Yummy, it's tim sum! Something that Mummy Me loves a lot! Same goes for Little Arielle who simply loved cha siew bao!

After breakfast is taken care of, we proceed to take the cable car ride to see the big buddha. The ride is really worth it compared to the one in Singapore. The ride is so long and it cost us only HK107 (to and fro).

The weather is hot today but is so much better compared to Taiwan. Luckily, we got the disney brolly and it was put to good use. We din climb all the way up cos it would be very tiring to do so with Little Arielle.

So we walked to the nearest possible spot, took a pic with the big buddha and watched the Monkey show. Bascially, the morale of the story is not to be greedy and must learn to share happiness with people around us.

After the show, we took our lunch at the foodcourt in Citygate shopping mall and went back to the hotel. We decided to go back to our hotel to take our afternoon nap! Hahaha, to some, you may feel that it is a waste but holiday is afterall to relax. We had been too tired for the past few days and we need to recuperate our energy for Disneyland tomorrow!

After our nap, we had dinner at the same restaurant - Federal Palace and thereafter, started our shopping spree! Yeah....bought a lot of clothes for Little Arielle! Arrghhh so fortunate of her hor hee :)

Day 5 - The Peak, Victoria Harbour....

After our nice breakfast at Novotel Taiwan, we were ready to take the shuttle bus to Taoyuan International Airport for our flight to HongKong. Took the last chance to buy some goodies for my colleagues in the office at the airport. Please do not blame me if it is not nice hee.

The flight from Taiwan to HongKong is rather fast. Around 1hr+. After we landed, we took the shuttle bus to Novotel Citygate. After leaving our luggage in the room, we quickly took the MTR out.

First stop was Wong Tai Sin temple where we pay our respect to the gods. This was what we did years back when I came with XP. A pity that Little Arielle was so tired that she was sleeping when we were at the temple.

Next stop was Snoopy World at New Town Plaza in Sha Tin. Made Little Arielle wake up so that she can have fun there. But it was sourching hot cos it was a simple outdoor playground.

Next stop was the Peak! A nice place to go to especially if the weather is cooling but nevermind, since we are here, should let Little Arielle have the chance to see! The tram ride was interesting. Really wonder how the tram can go up such a steep track! Took a lot of pic at the Peak and happened to purchase our Disneyland tickets there too cos they have a free sourvenier if we get our tickets there! Best of all, the sourvnier is 2 brolly! The essential item for such hot weather. But luckily, HongKong's weather is slightly better as compared to Taiwan.

After our Peak's stop, our next destination is Victoria Harbour. Took a bus and we ended up opposite the harbour. Hahaha, gave us an opportunity to take the ferry across. Luckily, after taking the ferry, we still have sufficient time for the laser show. That is a daily show only at 8pm and it will last for 20 minutes.

Hmm, after watching the show, I find that it's not so fantastic actually....We went around taking a few more pic and we were on our way back to the hotel. It was indeed tiring covering so many places of interest at one go.

Everyone was knocked out....Zzzzzz

Day 4 - Novotel Hotel!

It's the last day that we have in Taiwan and we will be flying off to HongKong tomorrow. XP decided to skip the breakfast provided by the hotel since it's serving the same food everyday and he got kind of sick of it. As such, we got to sleep in a little bit later.

Decided to visit the Sun Yat-Sen memorial park and thereafer, will pop by Taipei 101. It was freaking hot today again and ahhh....today don't have brolly! So we were seen trying to hide under the shade. Got the chance to take their MRT and their single trip ticket is very interesting. It's like a token and you can actually scan it :)

After taking some pic at Sun Yat-Sen, we went to Taipei 101. Decided to buy the tickets to go up even though it cost each of us NT400 i.e. $16. Wow, what a sight! We even took an interesting pic! But what was upsetting was, Little Arielle ran and fell down. As usual, hit her right forehead and she was crying on the top of her voice. The staff quickly calmed her down with a sticker.

After visiting 101, it was time to rush back to check out of our hotel. Cos the plan is that we will be checking into Novotel since it is nearer to the airport and we will not have to rush cos our flight tomorrow is early. Luckily, we managed to catch the free shuttle bus in time, else it's gonna be some walks under the hot sun again.

After checking out of our hotel, we went to Taipei main station to do our shopping there. Sigh....only got things to buy for Little Arielle. Actually things in Taiwan is not cheap at all leh! Still prefer to do my shopping in Bangkok! We were quite tired with the walking and the tanning. With nothing to buy, it's actually quite a chore to walk. As such, we went back to the hotel quite early and the receptionist was nice to check if we can get on the earlier bus to the airport. So when we reached the airport, we took the free shuttle bus to Novotel.

Wow....this is what I called a hotel! Very nice leh!! The room is fantastic!! Except that don't have bathtub. But nevermind, other things compensated for it!! Best of all, we get to go to their Premier Lounge where snacks and drinks is free flow! Ahhh....so shiok :)

We are going to relax in our room now and hopefully got more things to buy when we are in HongKong!!
