Time to Say Goodbye

My second auntie is a PR of Japan for many many years. She has been there since 1982 and what I admired her is that she was alone surviving in an unfamiliar country for so many years. If I remembered correctly, she went there to study fashion when she was in her 20s and has been staying there till date. Of course she would be back yearly to celebrate CNY. So today is the last day that she is in Singapore as she would be taking the night flight back to Osaka.

We went to send her off at T3. Little Arielle was very excited as there was vast space for her to run about.

Well, if the timing is right and we have budget for it, we might consider going to Japan again this Apr. And if possible, we would be putting up at her house just like what we did last Apr!

No Stock Again!

I really hate it when I have made payment for a purchase and subsequently was informed by the seller that they din check properly and in fact, the item that I wanted is already out of stock.

This is the second time that it is happening! So the dress that I have been waiting for is nothing but a dream cos it's already out of stock!

"Dun disturb me = 不要吵我" This has been Little Arielle's favourite phrase recently and she loved to use it especially when I am using the computer. She would make sure that she squeezed me out of my seat and this is what happens when I am being squeezed out:

It's the official date that my designer stepped in to do. They have done the carpentry work at the factory and brought over to get it fixed up. Hmm, we are getting closer to the completion....

Fighting for Things!

Recently, Little Arielle enjoys fighting things over with XP and I. This evening, it is a classic example! We came back from work and XP was anxious to watch the 7pm drama serial. When we reached my mama's house, Little Arielle was watching her DVD. XP went to switch it off and I can feel the anger in Little Arielle. So, both of them were fighting over the tv. Little Arielle tried to on her DVD player and XP went to switch the channel. She was so mad and upset that she went to complain to her popo.

Anyway, XP somehow managed to coax her.

Her next target is ME! I was using the pc and she also wants to have a share in it. This little kpo will start telling you that she needs to work and so she wants to use the pc!

Alamak, when that time really comes, I think you would tell me that you don't wanna work!

Updates to Reno Works Part 2

The renovation continued and today, the electrician fixed up the speaker wires as shown in pic 1 and 2. Realised more wires hanging down from the ceiling. What an ugly sight!

We got the electrician to include another outdoor switch (the one in grey) next to my outdoor light as the powerpoint over here is applicable for my wall light as well as my flood light. Well, this basically means that if I dun on my wall light, my flood light will not work. If it doesn't work, then I buy my floor light for what? But if I need to on my wall light and flood light together, it means high electricity consumption. Luckily, the electrician was able to fix up the switch outside, else we gotta sacrfice either one!

No Time!

Eversince I was promoted, I have been working round the clock. I think other than my meals and bedtime, I am literally working. This is not healthy cos I dun have time for Little Arielle. What made it worst is that she would come and irritate/disturb me!

Many a times, I got so irritated that I start screaming off my head. It was so difficult to control and I really couldn't help it. While I want to keep her company, I can't afford to let my work built up.

The building is at such amazing speed that I cannot afford to waste time/relax unnecessarily.

Really feel so tired....

Crybaby!

The powerful skills that put people off is Little Arielle's screams and cries!

元宵的"礼物"

XP just came back from meeting his friend and wanted to wash up for Little Arielle. She was sitting on our bed and XP asked her to come to the bathroom.

She must have missed a step and she actually fell off the bed. Loud cries were heard and we quickly ran over to carry her up. She said that her arms and left leg were painful but we din see any obvious bruises. If it is serious, the bruises will appear tomorrow.

Hopefully it is just superficial injuries! What a "gift"!

The Spending Starts Again!

Rightfully, in this economic downturn, I should be saving more for rainy days rather than spending money like a open tap. But I just couldn't resist the following items! Bought the following batik dress for only $10.

As mentioned previously, I also bought the interactive coin box. At least I only bought 1 instead of 2! Can't wait to get my hands on the items! I'm sure Little Arielle will love the dress and the interactive coin box. I can already visualise the excitement in her :)

Little Arielle's Blog is 1!

Thanks to Mama Tong's inspiration, this blog was created on 5th Feb 2008, the day when Little Arielle was 16 mths old. With a blink of the eye, she is now 28 mths! Sometimes really couldn't believe that I have been a mother for 28 mths.

Like Mama Tong, I also regretted not blogging down my pregnancy and breastfeeding process. I wonder if there is still a chance for me to do so??

Mummy, I want to draw!

Mummy Me was busy editing some work and was working on it with a red pen in hand. Little Arielle was so excited that she wanted to grab my pen to start her own drawing. Apparently I rejected her request and she kept saying,"Mummy, I want to draw! Mummy, I want to draw."

So, in the end, I granted her request and the following is what she drew:

Advance Celebration

Little Arielle would be turning 28 months tomorrow. Had wanted to celebrate with the family but daddy gotta work tomorrow and as such, he would not be cooking dinner.

Since, he is not able to join in tomorrow, I decided to bring forward the celebration to today instead. Was still thinking about the nice Yusheng that I ate with my colleagues at Sakae Sushi the other day. It's cheap and simply delicious!

So, without further hesitation, I bought a small one to Loh Hei tonight again!

又被打了

Little Arielle was extremely disobedient today. Asked her to sit in her car seat and she simply refused to do so. XP gave a lot of warnings but she simply ignored her. He told her that if she knock herself or fall down in the car, she would get it from him.

In the end, that really happened and XP was so mad that Little Arielle kena a few slaps on her arms. As usual, she cried bitterly.




Well, we believe that spare the rod or spoilt the child!

The Vomit Queen

Well, received a call from mama asking me if she can use normal detergent to wash Little Arielle's bear bear?

Was curious why she suddenly wanna do this cos all along, I have been washing her bear bear.

She then told me that Little Arielle vomitted onto her bear bear, that's why it requires washing again.

Alamak, dun noe wat happen to her? But she was okie when we went to pick her. Probably vomitting helps to clear her system??

A Sweet Ending....

Had dinner at a coffeeshop and Little Arielle wants to go to the 7-11. XP told her that if she behaved herself and let us eat dinner in peace, we would bring her there.

She was good and we kept our promise.

She was so excited when she saw the milo ice-cream. So in the end, each of us got 1 cos the Cornetto ice-cream costs $2.90 for 2 cones.

Some 收获

The routine continues and we are supposed to look for lights again....

Went to mama's house in the morning to 拜年 and was told that she has an appointment with my aunties for lunch at Safra Toa Payoh. She asked us to go along. We were too full cos we just had our breakfast and decided to give that a miss. But we sent her there and placed Little Arielle in her care. At least, we can take a few hours off to go check out the lights. It is really difficult to do so with a little one.

Luckily, it was paid off. Managed to purchase 4 lights i.e. 3 wall lights for my parapet wall, 1 floodlight and 1 light for the storeroom. Cost a total of $318. Saw a pretty nice looking chandelier that costs about $3k+ and thought that the price is reasonable cos it is using Swarkoski crystal. Got the sales assistant to lengthen the length of the crystal and we will check it out when it's done to see if it is nice or not. Went around Balestier area to see more lights and thereafter picked Little Arielle from 啊公's house.

Sent mama home and 2 of my aunties wanted to visit our new house. So after visiting our new house, we visited theirs. They would be shifting over by mid Feb.

The day did not end as we continued our search at Liang Court. This time round, we went to check out the electronic products. Din get anything there but fell in love with this coffee table that we saw in OM. However, we din buy on impulse. If got fate, someday we will get it. Hahaha!
