Just taught Little Arielle how to sing 三只老虎 yesterday and she was able to remember most of the lyrics. Was happy that I managed to capture her on video :)

The Fallen....
Mummy Me! Yeah....after 1 year+ of being healthy, I am finally down with flu (of cos not something that I wanted!). It was really terrible. XP's virus must be so strong that even sleeping separately at night and not sharing food did not help :(
Perhaps drenching in the rain yesterday contributed part of it too. In any case, I did not even want to pull myself out of bed this morning. I just felt restless. But I had to eat something so that I can take the medication. As such, we went opposite our house and had something to eat. Hmm I don't have to worry about poor appetite cos I am usually a glutton when it comes to flu.
After brunch (cos was already 11am+), XP wanted to go to my MIL's house. We took a bus to her place, stayed for about 2 hours and returned home. All of us took our afternoon nap to recharge!
Since it had been a boring day, we decided to walk to Parkway for dinner. Little Arielle was most thrilled! We were there for less than an hour and I asked to go home. The end of a boring day!
Hopefully Mummy Me will be better tomorrow for more exciting things?

A Long Way Home!
Usually it will just take about 30 minutes to at most 45 minutes (if traffic is bad) to reach our house from mama's place.
However, today's journey took a long 2 hours 30 minutes!
Must be curious why it took that long right! Cos XP forgot to bring his keys home! Hmph! He left his keys in the office and best of all, he forgot his office pass today. Well, cannot really blame him cos he has yet to fully recover from his flu and cough. As such, we will not be able to pick up our home keys from his office. Well, the spare keys are either with my PIL or with my previous home designer which he has yet to return us.
XP tried to contact our designer but he mentioned that our keys are in his office and he doesn't have the key to open his office's door. Well, we thought that he is able to get it cos he is nearer to us. In the end, we had no choice but to go to my MIL's house. So by the time, the wait and all, we collected the keys from my PIL's house and went back home, it was almost 11pm.
All of us were tired but luckily, Little Arielle was well-behaved throughout the long journey. We quickly prepared for bed after that!
This is the downside of being carless. Travelling from point A to point B can really take up a lot of time!

Brown Milk?
Blur XP forgot to tell me that he has finished the last scoop of milk powder this morning. If he had told me earlier, I would have gotten some from mama's house before coming home.
Oh well, no choice! Little Arielle gotta make do with the instant milo that I have got. Luckily still got this instant milo. Else she gotta either live on fresh air or plain water :)

Little Arielle's Nitemare
Hmm I just cannot link Little Arielle with nitemare! Cos she is one whom I think is not scared of anything. So much so that she can sometimes watch scary movies with me.
But, I was told by XP this morning that Little Arielle did not sleep well last night. She woke up almost every hour at 2am+ and 3am+. XP said that Little Arielle told him that she was scared. Oohhh....it must be the 18 levels of hell that we visited yesterday that made her sleepless.
Hmm....so Little Arielle, must be good girl okie! Else will have karma leh....like what Ah Tan jie jie always says!

PE Attire
Rise and shine early! Today will be the last half day for us to use our car :( This is so upsetting but it's already a fact which I have to accept. So let's just move forward!
The first task for our car is to bring us to Little Arielle's school as we need to purchase her PE attire. Luckily we were early as there was already a short queue forming outside the school.

The area was very cramp because the staff there did not shift their table in and it was very near the doorstep. So we also wanted to quickly get the purchase done and get out of the place. We just did a rough estimate of the size with Little Arielle and hoped that the size will be right for her as there was no chance to try-on.

Took the above 2 pic when we were back home. Made Little Arielle try out the size and luckily, it fits her well. If we were to get a bigger size, the length of the T-Shirt will be too long for her. In any case, if she really outgrows her clothes, we can always get a new set for her cos I don't think 2 sets can last her for a year :)

琴棋书画
样样经通? While this is what I hoped Little Arielle can achieve, I will not be upset if she is unable to :)
Anyway, as her mummy, I have tried to give her whatever I can. This includes expressing interest in putting her in Yamaha school for music lessons (琴). This thought just strike my mind again while working today and I decided to email to the school to request for more details. Some time ago, I did enquire over their counter on the lessons that are suitable for Little Arielle. The staff was helpful and I managed to get quite a bit of brochures. However, I just cannot seemed to locate them now. As such, I had no choice but to send in an enquiry.
I thought that they would give me a written reply and was surprised to receive a call from them instead. The staff was patient and tried to assist me with my mountain of enquiries. Here's the details that I have gathered:
Little Notes:
Weekday class -> $208.65 (for 1 term i.e. 3 months)
Weekend class -> $240.75
Whole course spreads over a period of 6 months with 2 terms i.e. 3 months each. There will be 11 lessons in total and each lesson will be about 45 minutes.
Music Wonderland:
Weekday class -> $240.75 (for 1 term i.e. 3 months)
Weekend class -> $272.85
Junior Course:
Applicable for kids aged between 4 years old to xx (I forgot how old liaoz hee)
In any case, I will sign her up for the little notes to let her have a feel of music. Thereafter, I will skip music wonderland and put her straight in junior course. The staff mentioned that we can do that. I would have her in junior course for 2 years and switch her over to the piano class when she is 6. Well, unless at that time, she shows no interest in piano, then we will decide how things go. The staff was nice to reserve the last vacancy for me. I will need to register before this Sun. If it is confirmed, she will have her lesson from Jan 2010, every Thur at 6.45pm.
Next, I am interested to let her attend drawing lessons (书画). Seeing that Alicia can draw so well, I was hoping that Little Arielle has this talent. And she does express interest in drawing. Heard from Ching that her girl is attending lessons at CC and it costs $60 for 10 lessons. Thought that this is a relatively cheap option to let Little Arielle try it out. However, it seems like the child needs to be at least 4 to 5 years old before they can sign up. Oh well, will wait till she is older then :)

It's Too Late....
to regret :(
Mummy Me was just informed by Auntie Ah Hoon that our company's recreation club has accepted all their requests for the upcoming Kukup trip on 13 Dec. Previously, they are only accepting 40 passengers but due to overwhelming requests, they managed to cater for another bus.
Auntie Ah Hoon has asked me to go along but XP wasn't keen on the trip. He still prefers to drive! So in the end, we did not sign up.
Arrgghhh now Ah Hoon told me they got discounts for the trip and it's already confirmed! I feel so much like joining them for it too :( Then Little Arielle will get to visit the fish farm and the red mangrove!
Too bad....next round ba!

Mummy Me simply cannot keep my hands off these beautiful clips. As such, my itchy hands start to make a purchase for it. Made payment last week and received no updates from the seller.

Got Hope Again?
This overseas trip thingy is really driving me crazy! One moment, XP told me that there is no hope and today, he said that there is some chance.
Arrgghh....I think I better not be too hopeful, else I will be disappointed again! The agency had better confirm it asap. So that I will not keep thinking about the trip.
Of course, I wish that we can still make it! Mama and Little Arielle will definitely love it!

Some Positive Replies....
Yes....finally, at long last....I am getting some sensible answers from KidsCoverLooks. One of the staff called me this afternoon and informed me that I am able to collect Little Arielle's photos this weekend or during weekdays next week.
When asked what caused the delay? They are only able to tell me that there was a delay at their photo lab but was unable to give me a detailed explanation. Oh well....shan't spend time with the person on this since she doesn't have an answer anyway.
Hopefully the effects of the photos are good and it doesn't disappoint me. Else it is definitely not worth the wait and $$.

Notification Letter from PAP
Just received the notification letter from PAP in the mail today confirming her seat for 2010's intake. Hmm....just felt excited that my little darling is going to school. I wonder how would she react during the first day of class?
I had wanted to send her for some enrichment class when she was 18 months. XP strongly objected as he was afraid that Little Arielle would be bullied in class, given the fact that she wasn't very fluent with speech at that time. As such, I subsequently dropped the idea of sending her for class since she has a protective daddy.
This dragged for years until when we registered her for nursery just a few months back.
Anyway, back to the notification letter, it mentioned that Little Arielle will be in the Sunflower class. Hmm....I thought the name of the class is very suitable for her since she is like a little sun giving out rays of light and laughter whenever she goes [hee hee, same as her mummy :)]
A few things to note:
a. Sale of T-Shirts for her outdoor activities will be carried out on 21st Nov.
b. There will be an orientation cum mini exhibition on 4 Jan
-> We are required to make payment for the following items:
i. School fees for Jan 2010 @ $110
ii. Student group insurance policy @ $3
iii. Young Families magazine @ $2
iv. Material fees & stationeries @ $48
*Activity sheets - $8
*Zipper bag - $5
*Name tag - $3
*Progress report book - $4
*Stationeries, Art/Craft materials - $23.50
*3 x A4 PVC folder - $4.50
Wow wow, just first few days of 2010, we already need to spend $163 liaoz! Hmm that's excluding her T-Shirts as well as her school uniform and socks which cost another $43. That total up to $200+.
Hmm....I din know that we have to pay for things like name tag lah....progress report book and blah blah blah.
Well, the conclusion is that having children is not cheap these days. No wonder, people are not encouraged to have more. Imagine we are attending PAP and these are the costs that we need to incur. What about those going for private schools? The sums must be hefy! Having said that, hmm....actually I'm still keen to have a second one hahahaha!

Taiwan Cum Disneyland Plans?
Hmm as year end is drawing near, XP is making some plans on how to use up some of our remaining leave.
He managed to check that there are vacancy for departure on 27th Nov to 4th Dec. Shiok shiok 9 days tour :) 7 days in Taiwan and 2 days in HK. So tempting leh! Cost $4k for 3 adults + 1 kid. Hmm....still considering if we want to commit to this package!

New Routine?
Little Arielle used to wave us goodbye after we dropped her off at my mama's house. From yesterday onwards, she developed a new routine. She insist to give us a peck on our cheeks. I tried to siam her kiss this morning and she became wailing away!
In the end, had to give in to her bad breathe mouth hee! Oh that stinks!
