Arrival of Twilight Turtle

The twilight turtle that I have been waiting for has finally swam to me :) Initially wanted to settle just with one with lights but saw this other person selling it with music. Never regretted getting it. The effect was really good! The projection was so good that the whole ceiling was full of stars.

And of cos, Little Arielle was most pleased with it. She really loves this new toy of hers. Mummy Me loves it too. So romantic leh....

Arrgghhh....

Another boring day! Don't feel like going out but yet don't feel like staying at home. In the end, the verdict is still to stay at home! Well, the urge to stay at home is stronger cos again, it's back to my packing days. XP has already expressed interest that he wanted to shift in after the 7th month hungry ghost festival. That means not much time left!

Hmm was quite pleased when I realised that actually most of the items are cleared. I sure hope that this is really the case. Crossing my fingers that we can shift in by then :)

Clear Pronounciation

Hmm one thing that I am very proud of Little Arielle is that she can really pronounce well. This is especially so in her Mandarin. A lot of people tell me that oh she is so good in Mandarin, next time don't have to worry. But my concern is that her English sucks! But these other people will tell me that don't worry, she can pick up easily in school. Afterall, English is easy to pick up. Huh? Since when? At least, her mummy is a bad example! Yeah....my English sucks! Nevermind, hope that she will not follow my footsteps! Let's check out the video clip:

Fated to Be Left Handed?

Despite numerous reminders, Little Arielle never fails to use her left hand as the primary source to do things. Again, she was reminded at the dining table to use her right hand to hold her spoon.

Daddy saw and for the first time, he commented that just let her be. For the past few years, he did try to amend her habit. I was surprised that he is okie for Little Arielle to be left handed. Mama says that whichever hand that they used depends on which side of the brain that they are using. So the conclusion is, she is using her left brain. And Daddy even said that well, our PM is also a left handed.

Well, I don't know lah....whole family is right handed, if Little Arielle is really gonna be a left handed, she seems to be out of the family leh. But I don't mind if she is trained in both right and left hand hee. Greedy mummy hor!

All Thanks to....

Little Arielle! Not for something good! But for causing the following wound to Mummy ME!!!

Yeah, that's what she did! This morning, I wanted to go out of the room and make milk for Little Arielle. While I was going to open the door, she pushed me and my left leg brushed against a box on the floor and the above is the end result :(

Hmm, I must thank myself for having thick skin! Cos because of my thick skin, my leg did not bleed. But apparently, that did not look nice too!

A Major Milestone

It may be a minor one to others but definitely a major one for me ~ a diaper free day :)

Probably for some other parents, their kids have already achieved this milestone as early as 2 but it's okie for me to let Little Arielle take her time. Nevertheless, she has finally made it. We were out the whole day without her on diapers :)

But I must confess that she is still on it when she is sleeping. Havent got time to train her on this yet. Will find time to do so....

Hide & Seek

As usual, I had to work late today :( Din expect XP to come this early to pick me up (8pm). As Little Arielle is with him, I did not want them to wait too long. So had to quickly tie up the loose ends and leave office.

I took out my camera and started to flim her as I saw her hiding behind the pillar (cos she can see me coming).

Playtime with Daddy

Little Arielle always enjoy playing with her daddy. She belongs to the "rough rough" type and always plays like a boy!

A Load Off My Mind....

Finally, the load of Little Arielle's nursery application is off my mind when I received news from XP that her application is successful :)

I feel so excited that she is going to attend school! Can't wait to see her in uniform! She would definitely look cute in it! A pity that XP did not managed to buy her uniform today cos he did not bring her along. Nevermind, I will bring her either in Sep or Oct to buy since there is no hurry and I have taken leave during those months.

So the total amount paid today was $110 (1 month's school fees) + $16 (registration fee).

Anyway, got a small hiccup this morning when XP went down to do the registration. I was in a meeting and forgot to bring in my hp. XP tried to call me twice but did not managed to get me. Luckily I suddenly remembered about the application and quickly came out of the meeting to check on my hp. He told me that the centre that I directed him to was old and dirty. I quickly checked the address and realised that I have given him a wrong one! Opps. Quickly call the school to verify and was informed that the centre that he went to had already closed. Luckily the correct centre was not far from the old one :)

I will be taking leave in Jan2010 to accompany Little Arielle as she moves on to the next chapter of her life :)

Oh yah, I registered with PAP instead of Cherie Hearts. Was hesitating to consider taking Cherie Hearts after I received their email informing me of the discounts that they are going to give. After their discount, it will still cost me around $300 per month. Sms the person in charge to find out more details and the person only told me the charges. After asking her how long is the session, she ignored me :( Did not give me any email reply as well. Forget it man! If they are not interested in my business, I am not interested in them too! Shall stay put with my PAP first....

More Modelling Practice!

It's indeed anytime, anywhere! XP can just impromptu test Little Arielle how to walk like a model! Hahaha, as if he knows leh....

Parrot Feeding Time!

We popped over to Ah Gong's house before going over to visit my mother's brother. He was admitted around a week ago and was recently discharged. Little Arielle was very entertained when she was at Ah Gong's house. This is because there was a parrot there for her to play with. She wanted to feed the parrot and was afraid that the parrot will bite her. So, this brillant little girl requested her 公公 to put the seeds on the red plate!

Stressed & Worried

Finally, I managed to get someone to speak with me on the line with regards to Little Arielle's nursery application. This matter has been dragging me for the longest time and I am sad to say that it is still not over yet :(

Early this week, I emailed to Cherie Hearts asking them about their nursery classes. Apparently, the person in charge is out of office and my enquiry was passed from person to person with the end result of no one getting back to me :(

Anyway, I had no time to give them a call to check. In addition, I happened to know from my colleauge that their so called nursery class will cost you about $500+. Oh my god, such an exhoribant amount for a 3 hour class.

I was not prepared to spend such an amount and decided to look for alternative. Another colleauge of mine told me that her child was in PAP nursery and she's doing fine there. I thought that it is a good option since there were many PAP nursery outlets in Tampines which is near my mother's house. I want to make it as convenient for my mother as possible since she will be the one to help me bring her to school.

Tried to call the centre yesterday but no one picked up the call. Called another centre and realised that the previous one was only operating half a day and was advised to call back today as the other centre do not offer nursery class. Finally got someone on the line this morning and realised that they are left with 1-2 vacancies. It got me so worried! The person asked me why I did not register earlier as they started the registration since Apr this year. Oh no....I din know that I was so backdated. They are not able to take in phone registration so I can only do so next Tue.

Gave me a whole list of items to bring down and wish me luck that Little Arielle can get in.

Opps! I almost forgot :(

Work must have buried me so much so that I forgot Little Arielle is 34 months old today. Felt so guilty that I was still shouting at her earlier on and did not spend time to play with her :(

Luckily I was still in time to take out my camera and take a pic of her. Hee, this is the first monthly photo that was taken when she was sleeping.

Mummy will remember the next month :)

Only Satisfied Task....

done today was the arrangement of photoshoot with KidsCoverLooks. This was possible because I was able to steal time to make a call when our office system was done. And yes, mi gonna bring Little Arielle for a shoot again at the price of $18. This offer is only possible if you are a NTUC member. Hmm, finally I feel worthwhile being a NTUC member after so many years.

In fact, the price is not the pulling factor. What drew me to this shoot was that this company is a modelling company for kids and there is a possibility that Little Arielle will be chosen if she fits the bill.

Well, not saying that she will definitely be chosen but at least there is still the chance and experience gained. Waiting for 16 Sep to arrive :)

Magical Disney Playhouse Channel....

This channel is really magical as it can capture Little Arielle's attention and allow her to sit still for about half an hour. Well, for an adult, half an hour is nothing but to the parents of a little child, half an hour is very precious!

Hmm....I will treasure this "free" time and maximise its usage :)

Bought a chicken pie from Polar and Little Arielle immediately suggested sharing the pie with me.

Supermodel Wannabe

Little Arielle is crazy over being a super model. So much so that when you ask her to strike a pose and tell her that it can be used for her super model pic, she would galdly do so for you. Not bad! At least, I get to snap nice pics!

Check out the great shots that I have taken this evening in Ikea Tampines. She kept bugging XP to bring her to Ikea and of course, our dear friend here who dotes on her will accede to her request!

Oh yah, forgot to mention that she was extremely naughty today! Knocked herself on the right side of her head and got her palm caught between the table and chair. Luckily it wasn't too serious and she is up on her feet, jumping around in a few moments' time.

Stayed there for 2 hours plus before we head back for home :)

Interesting Find!

As usual, I will continue with my packing during the weekend until we are ready to shift. Hmm....when will be the day I wonder? Really praying hard and hoping that it can be before Little Arielle's birthday. Although it seems like there are still many months to go, but time slips by fast.

I sure hope that my actions of packing can be sped up but the thought of packing and packing during weekend just sucks! Weekends are meant to relax, not to pack and pack endlessly....Oh well, enough of my grumbles!

At least this interesting find made the packing worthwhile!

Waiting for Opportunity

I have observed on many occassions that Little Arielle will not disturb you early in the morning when she wakes up. Some of the kids will either cry or shout for attention the moment their eyes open. For Little Arielle, she will lay there, with her eyes wide open and seems to be deep in thoughts.

When she sensed that we are waking up, she would suddenly become very excited and come close to you as if she has been waiting for this moment for ages :)
