Artistic XP

Hmm I always envy those people who has an artistic mind and can really do craftwork or artwork very well. One example is XP. Just felt that he can draw pretty well. At least in my context :) Or probably I'm not good in this area, so my expectation is lower? Whichever the case may be!

I know that Little Arielle can depend on him in future hee. Don't ask Mummy to do artwork or needlework for you hor. Please look for your daddy :)

Grow Vs Gain Kids

Damien was a month older than Little Arielle. As such, he is already drinking milk powder for kids older than 3. I din know that Abbott has 2 series for kids above 3. It was only told to me by Ah Hoon. She mentioned that there is Grow (vanila taste), represented by giraffe and Gain Kids, represented by bear. She said that Damien don't like to drink and gave me some for Little Arielle to try. The reason why he doesn't like it is because of its taste. So I asked Ah Hoon if the taste was really bad and she herself din like it.

I got the powder from her last Fri and only decided to try it today. Both milk powder was separately kept. Little Arielle was very excited and kept saying that she wanted to try "giraffe". For a moment I was thinking, well if she really likes it then good for me cos Grow only cost $30+ compared to Gain Kids which was priced at $50+. Arrgghhh....who knows, first suck and she already said she doesn't like it! Check out her angry look:

I was wondering why is her reaction so strong and so I took over her bottle and attempted to taste it. Felt that it was perfectly okie and the vanila smell wasn't that terrible. Well, she must be a 上等人!

Darn those Mosquitoes

I really hate these living creatures that always made me so stressed! Although they will always be attracted to my blood, I will not have reaction like what Little Arielle's skin will show:

It is really a painful experience when I saw her leg of bites and blister. Worst of all, the medication that can cure her needs to be prescribed by a doctor. I cannot buy it off the shelf from the pharmacy. And it's only a 5g tube which will be used up in no time. Sigh....I will have to start looking for gadgets which can help to KILL them!

人见人爱

My little one is really a prominient character in Tampines NTUC. Almost every other cashier, promoter and seller like her. She is either getting free gift or food when she goes NTUC with mama. Today, she got another gift from one of the promoter there.

This promoter is promoting fishball and she knows that Little Arielle does not like the fishball skin. She would have it peeled off for her before letting her eat.

Alamak, everyone is treating her like a princess lor. No wonder she is so sweet with her words and so spoilt!

Closed Down Liaoz :(

Since Little Arielle's birthday celebration is off, I decided to bring her to the Disney themed restaurant in Anchorvale and celebrate there amongst the family members.

Was happily telling Astin about it when she "poured a pail of cold water" over me and told me that the restaurant has already closed down long ago! I was so upset over this news. Now, anyone has any great ideas where else can I bring my girl for her celebration?

Mummy Me's Wedding Anniversary

This post will not be here if not for Little Arielle's presence! And you must be wondering why would Little Arielle appear when it is a day dedicated to XP and me! Yeah....I am asking myself the same question too!

Anyway, the reason why she is tagging along with us is because Daddy and mama were not available to take care of her. As such, we gotta bring her along. XP decided to bring us to East Coast Park. A place that Mummy Me likes a lot :)

We had dinner at this HongKong cafe called C. Nai Hong Kong Cafe Express. It is not a case of candlelight dinner since romantic dinners are only meant for two. Anyway, this is my first time here and was happy to know that they have live band.

Food was quite okie as I was more interested in their live band. Was very excited when they mentioned that they accept song dedication. I quickly picked up a piece of paper, requested for the song 明明白白我的心 as this song entails special memories for XP and me. Got Little Arielle to pass it to the band and we purposely enjoy our food slowly while waiting for our dedication. Waited for more than half an hour and still our song is not due. Got so fed up in the end and decided to leave since it was already 8.30pm.

We decided to walk around the vicinity and checked out the interesting eateries and entertainment. It was really very fun!

Thereafter, we took a short walk along the beach and Little Arielle was so excited. Told her that we would have more chance of visiting the beach when we move in since our new house is just across the expressway :)

Totoro Totoro....

I was quietly watching tv when Little Arielle came over and hummed the following song. Hee it's one of the theme song from a Japanese cartoon character: Totoro aka 龍貓!

New Neck Cushion

Little Arielle spotted another item which she was very interested and kept pestering Mama to get it for her. Well, mama told her that if she strikes 4D, she will buy it for Little Arielle. She then asked Little Arielle if she would strike? Her answer is of course a Yes! And true enough, mama really won and here's Little Arielle's "reward"

Gift from Bangkok

Feli came into office today and passed me a little gift that she got from Bangkok for Little Arielle. It's a nice Little Miss tee!

Brought it home and showed Little Arielle and she was happy with her new tee:

It's been 2 years....

We came over to our new house after dinner at mama's place. XP had to do work there as our internet service was successfully ported over on Tue from my MIL's house. Finally, his work was completed and we were on our way home. Told Little Arielle that we would be shifting over to our new house from this Sat onwards and she was quite upset about it.

Din realised that she could be so attached to my PIL. She din wanna shift over cos she knew that we would not be staying in the same household as them. I told her that we would visit them often and she was happy with it.

Time flies....it's been 2 years since we have been staying with my PIL. Even though Little Arielle only mingled with my PIL during weekend, I supposed it was the quality time spent with her that made her missed them. She is especially attracted to the "junk" food that my FIL fed her.

In any case, we will be moving on to the next chapter of our lives. While we are grateful that my PIL provided us a roof over our heads during these 2 years, I guessed one has to move on....Let's hope for the best :)

Tactics that Doesn't Work!

We were on our way home when Little Arielle asked for tic tac. She knows that XP has kept a box of tic tac in the car. Every now and there, if she is obedient, we will reward her with one.

Of course, at times, she will ask for it. Today, she asked for it in a very unfriendly manner. XP doesn't buy that and refused to acknowledge her request. Of course this naughty one did not stop and continued to bother XP. She would use voice variation to draw our attention and both of us just ignored her. She got impatient and started kicking the back of XP's seat.

XP hates to be kicked in this way and personally, I hate this feeling too. So in the end, she did not get to eat tic tac and ended up getting beaten by XP badly.

Naughty ones must be taught a lesson! Tan's family believe in "Spare the rod, spoil the child!"

My Sweet Ballerina....

Oh well....it's fated afterall....

I received the package last night and realised that the skirt that was mailed to me was not the one that I wanted. I ordered this piece ->

*Red skirt with pink stripes* - Uploaded on 15 Sep 2009

but received the following instead ->

*Whole pink skirt* - Uploaded on 15 Sep 2009

I thought that I was the one who made the mistake and quickly went back to check my email. Yeah....I was not the blur one. Immediately I emailed the seller last night and she replied me this morning. She was willing to do a refund but that was not what I want. I need the skirt cos Little Arielle's photoshoot is tomorrow. I don't have time to go and source for another one at this eleventh hour. Neither do I want to change the photoshoot date since everything has been fixed. Left with no choice, I went on to her website to check out the available designs that are ready stock and decided to make do with another preferred design ->

*Pink skirt with purple stripes* - Uploaded on 15 Sep 2009

But, my heart still stays with this one:

*Pink skirt with pink stripes* - Uploaded on 15 Sep 2009

So, I decided to just click on it and check out its availability. It was stated that there was still M size available. But, that size is for age 6-8 and Little Arielle is only 3. The difference in size was about 4 inches. Notwithstanding the temptation, I decided to give it a go. Called the seller and arranged for her to do an exchange with me. I was happy to finally got the one that I initially wanted. I have already planned for the worst. If she is not able to fit in, I will probably tighten the elastic band.

First thing that I did when I reached mama's house was to let her try it on. Woah lah! It fits well too! It's slightly loose but that is neligible :) I was so happy! Same was Little Arielle. Check out her happy acts:

Uploaded on 15 Sep 2009

Hmm....I looked forward to a happy photoshooting tomorrow. Hopefully, everything will go well. Oh yah! Forgot to mention that her matching top and skirt cost me $86. More expensive than my own clothes :) Skirt is about $60+ and top is $20+. What a lucky gal....

Ouch, That Hurts!

Little Arielle's granny wanted to view a few units in the condo next to her house. So Little Arielle and I accompanied her to view. XP was busy doing his work. As such, he did not tag along.

This little one was so excited and happy when she was able to come out of the house. This was especially so when the condo has playground which immediately drew her attention. And of course, she would not want me to hold her.

Well, happiness did not last for long when she accidentally tripped on the kerb and fell down. My MIL did not notice any bleeding until I checked on her wound personally and realised that it was this serious:

*Wow, looks very painful!* - Uploaded on 13 Sep 2009

Surprisingly, she did not cry wor....Probably skin too thick? She was so scared when we were about to go home cos I kept telling her that her daddy is gonna scold her. Luckily her photoshoot on wed will not see her leg cos she will be wearing a long skirt. And yes, she got a earful from her daddy. This will teach her to listen to us and hold our hands tightly :)

Friday, September 11, 2009

AAahhhhh....

Can't make out what's that? Hmm, let me give you a hint. What symptoms would you have if you are tired? Something that will result in teary eyes?

Yes yes....you are there....你在打哈欠! That's what Little Arielle said! I'm surprised that she knows. Cos her daddy doesn't really knows....

Oh yah...if you belong to the same gang as XP i.e. don't know what it meant. It means you are yawning :)

Opps, It's Not on Purpose!

I never had problems with my long nails while taking care of Little Arielle. However, while bathing her today, it turns out that my not-so-long nails scratched her instead. Check out the scratch mark on her right thigh:

This teary girl then went to complain to her daddy and said,"她是故意的!" Hello, that was definitely unintentional hor!

What Do You Like to Have?

Came back home after work and Little Arielle was playing with a lot of tupperware. I was sitting next to her, reading something when she suddenly asked me....

Uploaded on 07 Sep 2009

Hmm....looks like I really need to buy an interactive kitchen set for her to play with. Happened to see someone selling it online today, wow just nice. Have been waiting for it for a while :) Still comtemplating between the 2:

The first one cost $229 and the second one cost $439. Hmm....I wonder if XP would allow me to buy cos it would take up some space in my small house. I am extremely interested in the second one. Mama just asked me one question,"Is it worth $400+ to get this?" Come to think of it, doesn't really seems to worth hor? But then the second one is really so much fun. Oh well, will continue to consider ba....

What a Reply!

While on our way home, Little Arielle wanted XP to give her some sweets. Here's the conversation:

LA: Daddy I want tictac
XP: Later
LA: Daddy, I want 现在
M: What is 现在 in English?
LA: I want 现在
XP: What is 现在 in English?
LA: I don't want later!

Faintz, don't want later means want it now! She doesn't know what is 现在 in English but knows how to rephrase :)

Then when we got home, she dozed off while drinking milk. I woke up her to get her changed and next moment, she was as lively as a fresh kid. We asked her to go to bed and few moments later, she came up to her daddy. XP asked her what is she doing there and she said....

Hmm, I din know kids nowadays can use such words. At least, not for me when I'm young!
