Counting Down to Fireworks & 2010!

As per pervious years, we have always been watching the live fireworks to celebrate the begining of a new year. This year is no exception, well except that we will not be watching the fireworks in the car but rather we will be watching from the esplanade. Pervious years' practise has always been a case where XP will drive along ECP when it is approaching 12 midnight. The fireworks will be on and usually all cars will come to a standstill. That's how we watched the fireworks.

This year, since we have not got our new car yet, we would be taking a bus to Marina area and catch it together with the crowd! How exciting....

Taking A Risk!

I must admit that I wasn't very dilligent to wean Little Arielle off her diaper. She is perfectly ok without diapers during the day. However, when it comes to her afternoon nap and night time, she will still require diapers. I had wanted to purchase the waterproof mattress protector but opps, was a bit lazy to do so.

When it's time for nap this afternoon, Little Arielle did not want to wear the diaper. She promised XP that she would wake up and pee if there is an urge. Well, XP gave her the benefit of doubt.

I was doubtful....went in to check once and everything was clear. Some time later, I asked XP to check and heng ah....it was clear too!

And after about 2hrs, she was up with no slight drop of pee. Phew!

All right, I will get the protector and start training her soon....

Our Xmas Gifts

Since we were overseas during Xmas, Mummy Me hadn't got a chance to really take a pic of all our Xmas gifts. After we were back, I was a bit lazy and luan hee. It was only until today, that I got the mood to arrange the gifts nicely and take a pic.

Hmm, probably we will open the gifts tonight :)

To the Library!

Mummy Me 心泻来潮 and decided to pop over to the library. The good thing about my neighbourhood is that I got all the buses that I need i.e. to work, to my mother's house and to town. Best of all, it has a library and a lot of eating places.

The library is just a 10 mins walk from my house. Little Arielle was very excited when we reached. She quickly went to the shelf and grabbed a book for me to read to her. The librarian was very strict and did not allow any photography in the library. I was wondering, what's wrong with taking pic there? There are no secrets wat? Anyway, she must have heard the "click" sound and saw me taking pic. That's why I managed to take one shot. 求求你

I'm not used to people pleading with me, especially when it's kids! I got a shock this evening when Little Arielle suddenly came to me, knelt down and said,"
求求你, 我可以睡在你的房间吗?" With such a sweet voice and pathetic look, no one can simply said no to her!

As such, without second thought, I agreed to her request! Little Arielle will once in a while make such a request but never once did she go down on her knees to do so. I'm really surprised that she will use such tactic to touch our hearts! Or I should say, to melt our hearts instead.

Anyway, most of the time when she wanted to sleep with us, we would say no. Yesterday, she sneaked into our room at about 4am+ and we got no choice but to tuck her in with us. Today, she is cleverer! She just need to make the request outfront and she will be spared of the need to sneak into our room. How come this gal is so clever? I wonder? XP din teach her leh....neither do I!?!?

Mall Visited: Tampines 1

We just decided to pop over to Tampines 1 this evening as Mummy Me had some errands to run. 1st thing that XP did was to buy bread for Little Arielle as she was complaining of hunger. S0, she gets to eat her favourite hotdog 面包. Just took a few shots of her, walked round the mall for a while and we hurried back home cos we wanna catch 摆家乐. Oh, one happy thing to mention is that Mummy Me finally found the moo moo coin bank that I wanted! But XP din want me to buy. Hee hee, I shall find a good opportunity to do so :)

Superb Memory!

When it comes to 正谨事 i.e. learning ABC, it seems to take forever to teach Little Arielle! The information simply cannot get into her head, I wonder why?

But, when it comes to other things, you can be amazed by how good her memory is! Just like today, we were walking past Katong Mall when she suddenly told me, Mummy, remember we were here the last time! And yes, we were really here, with her listening to someone telling stories. And when we passed by Boon Tiong Kee, she would said, remember we ate here the last time. Yup, these events actually happened like, weeks or even months back and she can remember!

What can I say....

A Boring & Rainy Sunday

Little Arielle woke up late again and by the time we were ready to get out of the house, it's already 11am+. So, instead of breakfast, it became brunch! How sad :(

Nevermind, I have made plans to go Orchard to see the Xmas lightings. We havent really caught the lightings yet. Who knows, my PIL came along and ruined all my plans. They stayed around for a while and needless to say, Little Arielle refused to take her afternoon nap. When they went off, it was almost 4pm. Little Arielle then wanted to sleep and thereafter, it started to pour!

Arrgghhh....there goes my Sunday :(

We are flying....

to the Land of Smiles :) Yippee!! The Tan family is currently waiting for boarding at Changi Terminal 1. Our flight will be taking off at about 4pm. Little Arielle is especially excited! This is her 2nd flight after the one to Japan in Apr08.

Wanted to bring her to HongKong Disneyland but we were too late and did not managed to secure good dates and price. As such, to make up for this, we are going to Thailand instead and staying in Baiyoke Hotel! Probably we will go HongKong and Taiwan next year!

Anyway, the hotel is the tallest one in Thailand and we will be staying between level 64th to 74th. The view must be damn great and we are looking forward to it!

This stay will also allow us to celebrate Mummy Me's birthday and Xmas!

Yeah....we will try to report again when we are there!

Meet Disney Characters @ Vivo

Auntie Astin was very kind as she wanted to give us the photo pass to take pic with the Disney Characters in Vivo City. But it was just unfortunate that Mummy Me was unable to take leave on Fri - 11th Dec and the photo pass is only applicable for the 2pm slot on 11th Dec. Auntie Astin helped to call and enquire and the person in charge was very strict and did not allow the time/date to be changed. As such, the deal is off :(

Mummy Me happened to talk to Auntie Irene and found out that she too has the pass but it is for 12th Dec (Sat). Her hubby is comptemplating if he wants to bring her girl for the shoot. If they are not going, Little Arielle will have hope.

But I got a feeling that there is no HOPE....Will see how then....

Xmas Comes Early....

for Little Arielle! She is indeed a blessed little kid. Before Mummy Me gets any presents, she has already got 2! One from Auntie Pan Jing and the other from Ah Tan Jie Jie!

Hmm okie lah....Mummy Me got a surprise when XP bought me a new hp when I reached my mama's house! Everyone is saying it's TIME I got a new hp :)

Barney's World Imagination

Damage Made :(

Mummy Me used one of my magnets to hold the Barney newspaper advertisement on the fridge. It has been hanging there happily for the past few days without any problem until this morning!

Without me noticing, Little Arielle just pulled the newspaper advertisement off my fridge! The magnet that was holding it was flung off the fridge and landed on the floor. I was so upset when I found out that the right leg of the penguine broke! What was more upsetting is that I couldn't find the broken leg!

I was so angry that I tore the newspaper up and Little Arielle got a smacking from XP and me. And why I was so upset is because this is the first gift that XP gave to Mummy during the "courting" stage!

The Carebear Show!

三只老虎

Just taught Little Arielle how to sing 三只老虎 yesterday and she was able to remember most of the lyrics. Was happy that I managed to capture her on video :)

The Fallen....

Mummy Me! Yeah....after 1 year+ of being healthy, I am finally down with flu (of cos not something that I wanted!). It was really terrible. XP's virus must be so strong that even sleeping separately at night and not sharing food did not help :(

Perhaps drenching in the rain yesterday contributed part of it too. In any case, I did not even want to pull myself out of bed this morning. I just felt restless. But I had to eat something so that I can take the medication. As such, we went opposite our house and had something to eat. Hmm I don't have to worry about poor appetite cos I am usually a glutton when it comes to flu.

After brunch (cos was already 11am+), XP wanted to go to my MIL's house. We took a bus to her place, stayed for about 2 hours and returned home. All of us took our afternoon nap to recharge!

Since it had been a boring day, we decided to walk to Parkway for dinner. Little Arielle was most thrilled! We were there for less than an hour and I asked to go home. The end of a boring day!

Hopefully Mummy Me will be better tomorrow for more exciting things?

A Long Way Home!

Usually it will just take about 30 minutes to at most 45 minutes (if traffic is bad) to reach our house from mama's place.

However, today's journey took a long 2 hours 30 minutes!

Must be curious why it took that long right! Cos XP forgot to bring his keys home! Hmph! He left his keys in the office and best of all, he forgot his office pass today. Well, cannot really blame him cos he has yet to fully recover from his flu and cough. As such, we will not be able to pick up our home keys from his office. Well, the spare keys are either with my PIL or with my previous home designer which he has yet to return us.

XP tried to contact our designer but he mentioned that our keys are in his office and he doesn't have the key to open his office's door. Well, we thought that he is able to get it cos he is nearer to us. In the end, we had no choice but to go to my MIL's house. So by the time, the wait and all, we collected the keys from my PIL's house and went back home, it was almost 11pm.

All of us were tired but luckily, Little Arielle was well-behaved throughout the long journey. We quickly prepared for bed after that!

This is the downside of being carless. Travelling from point A to point B can really take up a lot of time!

Brown Milk?

Blur XP forgot to tell me that he has finished the last scoop of milk powder this morning. If he had told me earlier, I would have gotten some from mama's house before coming home.

Oh well, no choice! Little Arielle gotta make do with the instant milo that I have got. Luckily still got this instant milo. Else she gotta either live on fresh air or plain water :)

In any case, she din like the idea of having milo as her milk. As such, she did not finish the whole bottle and left about 1/4. Just tahan until tomorrow okie :)

Little Arielle's Nitemare

Hmm I just cannot link Little Arielle with nitemare! Cos she is one whom I think is not scared of anything. So much so that she can sometimes watch scary movies with me.

But, I was told by XP this morning that Little Arielle did not sleep well last night. She woke up almost every hour at 2am+ and 3am+. XP said that Little Arielle told him that she was scared. Oohhh....it must be the 18 levels of hell that we visited yesterday that made her sleepless.

Hmm....so Little Arielle, must be good girl okie! Else will have karma leh....like what Ah Tan jie jie always says!

PE Attire

Rise and shine early! Today will be the last half day for us to use our car :( This is so upsetting but it's already a fact which I have to accept. So let's just move forward!

The first task for our car is to bring us to Little Arielle's school as we need to purchase her PE attire. Luckily we were early as there was already a short queue forming outside the school.

The area was very cramp because the staff there did not shift their table in and it was very near the doorstep. So we also wanted to quickly get the purchase done and get out of the place. We just did a rough estimate of the size with Little Arielle and hoped that the size will be right for her as there was no chance to try-on.

Took the above 2 pic when we were back home. Made Little Arielle try out the size and luckily, it fits her well. If we were to get a bigger size, the length of the T-Shirt will be too long for her. In any case, if she really outgrows her clothes, we can always get a new set for her cos I don't think 2 sets can last her for a year :)
