Increase in CC?

Hmm, have observed that Little Arielle has been requesting for more milk for the past 1 week. Even XP noticed her increased appetite. She would drink around 200ml and will request for milk again in 2hours' time. When I gave it to her, she was able to finish it.

Wow wow, finally she is increasing her milk intake! Will probably give her around 300ml for her night feed to see if she is able to finish it.

Hopefully she would grow up tall, slim, healthy and beautiful, unlike her mummy, who is fat, short and plump :(

2 Shopping Malls in a Day

We went to 2 shopping malls today for some leisure shopping. Since we have already bought our furniture for our new nest, there is no other pressing items which requires our immediate attention. Those electronic products can slowly be replenished. We need to get all new items cos those from our previous house were either given to XP's brother or sold to our previous buyer.

So we just went to Vivo City, done some windown shopping and went back home for a nap. Woke up in time for dinner and we proceeded to Suntec City. Had my $20 birthday voucher from Sakae Sushi which expires today. So we went down to Suntec specially to use the voucher.

Wasn't really that enjoyable as Little Arielle was disturbing us throughout. Should have left her at my mama's house! Anyway, din manage to take any pic, not because I din bring my camera but because the battery is flat! Even my standby batt is gone. Shows that I have been too busy and forgot to charge!

Anyway, after dinner, we were drawn by the crowd outside Carrefour. Realised that they were having some auction activities. How interesting! In addition, they are also having midnight sales and best of all, morning maddness. Morning maddness refers to some discounts/promotion that one will get if you shop at their store between 6am to 8am. Hmm, not only are they attracting the night owls, they are also trying to catch the early birds. Seems like competition is really stiff in this economic downturn.

Anyway, we only stayed for a while before we make our way home....

Spot On!

I was really amazed with Little Arielle's memory. XP was flipping through her childhood photo and they came across this particular one:

Little Arielle was telling XP that she was driving his car and it is at my mama's void deck.

Alamak, I was so surprised that she can recognise the background. There was only 1 bicycle and no special landmark lor! Steady leh!

New Furniture Bought!

Finally, we have settled on our furniture. It was after weeks of tedious search. Remember I mentioned previously that XP liked one of the bed frame from Lorenzo. We measured the frame and realised that it was slightly too big for our room. At that time, we did check with the sales person and was told that they are unable to customise it for us. Well, we were pretty upset but XP did not give up. He emailed in and requested for it to be customised.

Well, surprisingly, someone then told him that it is actually possible. See, the result of having double standard is that customer gotta do more work lor!

Anyway, whatever it is, the bottomline is that, we managed to get what we wanted. So we made payment today for the customised bedframe as well as our special order for our sofa. Just 2 items and it already cost us $4k+. See lah, economic crisis but they din seem to have lower their prices.

Hmm, forget it. At least, one item is off our "To Do" list! Kam-ba-te!!!

Dengue Fever!

Just received a letter from my PIL's management committee that there were cases of dengue fever in their condo.

Jiat lard liaoz leh. Was worried that Little Arielle will get it especially the weather wasn't very good these few days.

Hopefully they are able to locate the breeding ground and kill all the mozzies! I hate them! Indeed bloodsuckers!

A Red Patch....

XP was getting ready to wash up for Little Arielle when he discovered this red patch on her left elbow. Hmm....think she brushed against something and it became like that. Well, we din realise cos we din recall hearing any loud cries from her. Is it because she is thick-skinned??

Singing Gal....

Hmm....from dancing, Little Arielle now likes to sing too. She would try and follow the tune and sing along with it. This is very obvious especially when those drama serial is on. Check it out - Uploaded on 01 Mar 2009!

DIY

Was trying to get Little Arielle changed. So I took off her top and was getting her pyjamas ready.
In the end, she tried to wear back her shirt by herself and ended up in this state:

No Luck Again....

Had breakfast at Pek Kio hawker centre this morning as my usual fishball noodle stall is not open for business. So bad leh, the stall uncle did not inform us yesterday and we made a wasted trip there.

Anyway, had prawn noodle and XP bought chwee kuen for Little Arielle. Wat seh, this is one of the biggest chwee kuen that I have ever seen.

Next stop, we popped over to OM to view furniture. They having a warehouse sale and it's the last day today. We were hoping to get something there. However, was quite disappointed again when we failed to get anything that we like. Saw the coffeetable that I liked and thought that there would be some great discount. But it was only on 20% which is the same as per their normal discount in the shopping malls.

Went over to another furniture store - XZQT as they were having warehouse sale too and it's also the last day today. Well, as expected, I din see anything that I really like except for this particular bed frame that costs a ridiculous price of $12k+. We might consider customising it. XP liked one of the sofa set but I find the price too x and it made no sense to get it at that price. So in the end, we went off empty-handed too.

Decided to walk around IMM. Promised Little Arielle to bring her to the Barney kiddy ride. So we went windown shopping for a while before heading home.

Diaper Stock Up Time!

While, sad to say, Little Arielle is still on diapers. So we still need to spend $$ on it. Have already told XP that once we shift to our new house, she would go through intensive training. So, for the time being, we would still grab whatever cheap deals that we can find for her diapers.


She just finished her night diapers and we happened to pass by Giant whereby XP saw it on discount.


So we grabbed 2 packs of Huggies Dry Comfort which is at $35 and 2 packs of her drypers at $35 too. Just spent $70 on diapers. Alamak, what a waste of $$!

Tumbling Jack!

Was woken up by XP's voice and saw him picking Little Arielle up from the floor. Apparently, she has once again rolled off the bed. This happened because XP fell asleep on Little Arielle's mattress and Little Arielle was sleeping on the bed.

Usually she would sleep between us and that would be very safe cos either way she roll, we would "support" her roll.

Just this time, she fell cos XP was not on her side.

Luckily she did not suffer any injuries and I could not feel any balugu on her head. Thank god that she is fine!

Updates to Reno Works Part 5

Welcome to the reno works update post! Finally, I get to see how my tv console is gonna look like. Prior to this, it was under wraps and I din wanna purposely open it up for photo taking. As such, I waited till date to catch a glimpse of it.

Other than that, the only visible job done was that they extended the strip laminate right to the end of the wall. Previously, it stopped halfway and left a few cm which looked quite farnie. So XP got the designer to tear down the whole piece and re-do again!

Sucking Thumb?

I observed today and realised that many a times, Little Arielle was sucking her thumb. Best of all, she seems to be enjoying it leh.

Oh no, since when did she pick up this bad habit? Weaning her off her pacificer was not an easy job. Weaning off her thumb would be worst. Hopefully, this is only a transition period leh.

Or perhaps, she is teething??

Shall observe for another few more days then....

Little Arielle's SOP

What's her SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)?

Every night, when she wants to sleep, she would want to give me and XP a kiss on our cheeks. And of course, she would request that we do the same to her.

Next, she wants to hear us wishing her,"Good night" before she would proceed to bed.

This has been the case for the past few nights and I supposed she would continue with it....

A Claypot Feast

Daddy gotta work this evening and therefore we don't have a chef to prepare our dinner. Decided to eat out and brought mama and WJ along. Had craving for the claypot dishes at one of the Bedok hawker centre. All it's dishes are served in claypots. The hawker centre was under renovation for a while and we were trying our luck to see if it has reopened for business.

Oh great! It has re-opened for business. Hmm, at least we din make a wasted trip leh!

Gek Sim Ah....

Was reading Little Arielle's blog and was admiring what I have wrote for her. The time and effort spent was simply amazing. Cannot believe that I can manage to upkeep my blog this well. It really took up a lot of sleepless nites.

Just then, Little Arielle was popping by and I casually asked her if she would appreciate what I have done for her when she grows up. She gave me a blunt NO. So sad leh!

All my efforts gone down the drain....

A Hectic Day!

It's XP's birthday today but it seems like he is busy with our house's reno instead of spending time celebrating his birthday! So, early in the morning, he went to purchase switches for our new house. Not that there are no switches but because of the colour of our wall, he went to get new ones to match the colour. Wow, indeed a particular man!

Thereafter, we sent Little Arielle to my mama's house cos we are meeting some contractors at our new house. The person is here to take measurements of the wall cos we are thinking of putting wallpaper instead of painting it. So while he is taking the measurement, I remembered XP saying that the developer re-do the tiles for our washing machine's base. The correct way is the one as shown in the pic:

The developer initially did it in this manner which XP found it to be very ugly. He mentioned to the developer and I was surprised that they did the change for him. It would be a lot of efforts cos it meant hacking out the existing tiles and replacing it with the new pieces. I was thinking since the washing machine would ultimately be placed on top of the tiles, it doesn't really matter which direction the tiles would face. Well, XP just doesn't buy that. Hmm, another sigh of being particular.

Next group of people that would be coming by would be the glass specialist. This is something very complicated cos we need to cut a rectangle in the glass and our designer forgot that the glass people might not be able to do it cos the rectanlge is relatively slim. The designer then proposed to cut the glass so that we can still proceed with the design as planned. XP is very insistent not to have it cut as he wants the glass to come in 1 piece. In the end, he went to source for the glass specialist himself and tried to see if they are singing the same tune as our designer's glass contractor.

The glass specialist managed to fine-tune the situation without compromising drastically on the design. Hmm, at least XP is happier. So they will go back to do up the quotation and let us know the status.

Next item on the agenda - Birthday lunch! Finally, an item to celebrate XP's birthday. Initially he wanted to eat fish head curry at Ocean but he recalled that it is not children friendly, he decided to change to Mouth Kitchen @ Safra Toa Payoh.

After lunch, we rushed off to get the shower curtain pole for my auntie, went over to her house to get it fixed, sent mama and Little Arielle back to her house and finally, went back home. As I need to attend an award ceremony in Marriott, I am unable to continue with the celebration with him. I kinda of regretted agreeing to attend cos I just felt the sense of guilt of not being able to celebrate with him. So to make up for it, I tried to get a birthday cake and thank god, I was able to get it at Marriott. Check out the next post for details!

Liar Liar!

Little Arielle was naughty and she went to slam our bedroom door. XP was very mad and went up to her. He asked if she has slammed the door and she said NO. Asked many times and the same answer was given. XP was so pissed off that he took the cane and asked her again. Well, it was still a NO. He already told her that she should not be lying cos Mummy Me saw her slamming the door. She was still very insistent.

Hmm, he gave up. Few moments later, XP was washing up for Little Arielle. He took the chance to ask her again if she slammed the door earlier on. This time round, she said YES! XP asked her if she was afraid to be beaten, that's why refused to admit and she said YES!

Alamak, thought it should be the other way round? If you are afraid to be beaten, all the more you should admit?

Aiyo, this girl needs a different way of teaching....

A Sweet Gesture!

I was busy surfing net and trying to do some blogging when I suddenly had a moist feeling on my arm. When I took a look at it, it was a patch of white cream. When I looked up, I saw that it was the doing of Little Arielle. Realised that she was applying the Vitamin E cream on my scar. This scar was my birthday gift! And till date, she still remembered that we fell together.

New Discovery!

I chanced upon one of my ex-poly classmate's blog and discovered this new interesting gadget: Scrapblog!

I super love it cos I actually like to do scrapbook but apparently I don't have that artistic touch. As such, I din wanna spend money on the materials and end up doing a lousy job.

This feature is just right for me. I just need to upload pic and place it at the right place. There are so many beautiful templates for me to choose from.

If I have inspiration that day, I can even design one on my own from scratch.

This is indeed a superb invention and to give praise to this invention, I actually spent a few hours doing up my masterpiece for Little Arielle and my own wedding pic.

Just love it....

New Clock for New House!

Hmm, I just realised that for the past 5 years+ stay in Punggol, I din have a wall hanging clock. I wondered how I survived for that past few years without tracking the time. Perhaps that's why I am still young! Cos still living in the past! Hahaha, whoever is reading this post must be cursing and swearing at my crap!

Okie, back to the clock.... XP just loved the clock as shown in the pic.

Well, frankly, I just find it average looking lor. I am sure to like those cute and sweet thing. Therefore, I will give things that looked a little bit decent looking a pass.

But since a home is where the 3 of us is staying, sometimes will have to give the decision right to him. No point quarrelling over small issue!

Big clock also good lah, next time can teach Little Arielle how to read time. Opps, just realised that there are only 3 digits on the clock. Hahahaha!

He Lost His Cool!

I supposed renovating a house is a very stressful matter. I dun feel so much of the impact cos frankly speaking, I am only concerned on the financial aspects. Well, not that I dun bother about the outlook but probably because I knew that XP will take care of this aspect, that's why I'm not freaking my mind over it. I must say that he really put in a lot of efforts for our new nest. So much so that, sometimes I feel that he seems to be the designer. He is very particular about every nitty gritty detail and thus the added stress is on him.

We went over to my designer's office this morning as there seems to be some issues somewhere. XP was discussing with him over it until he suddenly raised his voice and turned hostile. I supposed a frustrated person will get agitated easily. And I think the designer's attitude at that moment needs to be improved as well. All in all, it's a misunderstanding. Luckily, I was there at the discussion, else it will become a wild fire and thank god that one of designer's colleauge is playing with Little Arielle!

Everyone was stressed so small things can spark a wild fire. Anyway, we went to take a look at furniture at Lorenzo which made XP's mood better cos he spotted 2 pieces of furniture i.e. sofa set and bed frame which he liked it very much. However, the salesman din allow me to take pic. So in the end, only managed to take Little Arielle's pic instead! We will take measurement of our room to see if the bed frame and fit in and will decide if we are gonna buy it. If it's confirmed, we would have settled another major issue for the house!

2's a Company, 3's a Crowd!

Since XP mentioned that he din have time to get me a gift cos he has been busi with our new house's reno, he decided to bring me out for dinner as a compensation. Or whatever that is! Best of all, he said that Little Arielle is my present! Alamak, at least at the moment, she is still a nusiance!

He thought of "depositing" Little Arielle at my mama's house but I din agree to it although I very much wanted to. Weekend is the only time that she can take a break and as much as possible, I try to free up those time for her. Is it really tiring to take care of a kid on a full day basis, especially when age is not on her side.

Anyway, since depositing her is not possible and we dun have a maid to look after her, the only solution is to bring her along lor!

XP suggested to eat at T2's Swensons. Hee hee, I was quite happy cos he kinda read my mind. I was also thinking of that leh! But I din wanna tell him!

Just as XP expected, the queue is very very long! He suggested to eat elsewhere cos we probably need to wait at least an hour?? I din want to so we decided to join the queue. Was in the queue at 10pm.

Since the queue is so long, decided to bring Little Arielle around first before she starts to wander off on her own. So I took her to the ice-cream counter and saw the nice deco that they have and took a pic!

We were there for less than 5 minutes and someone tapped on my shoulder. It was XP, following behind a waitress. Oh, I'm surprised that we got a table that fast!

After the waitress showed us to the table, it was pretty cramp and it's a table for 2! No space to place a baby chair at all. I then realised that it's a lovers' corner cos it's all couples sitting there. Nothing more than 2! So in the end, Little Arielle was placed on XP's lap and mine as we took turns. So I was just commenting that everyone came in a couple and Little Arielle is "extra" and the gal sitting in the next table just laughed off.

Hmm, they have got a Valentine's 4 course meal that costs $68+++. Wow, don't think we wanna spend so much on it leh. Though they just give an extra heart-shaped balloon and help us take a pic but we thought that it's not worth the money. So just decided to order the normal ala carte dishes.

Ordered 2 sides, 1 main course and 2 desserts! Luckily Little Arielle was till pretty obedient, we managed to kinda of eat in peace. And of course, the awaited moment is when the ice-cream was served! She was practically enjoying herself. Hmm, should we bring her along next Valentine?

V-Day Special

Was dragged out of the bed early in the morning by XP. Well, not because he has got a surprise for me but because we have made appointment to view some wallpaper for our new house. As such, we went over to the supplier after breakfast. We din get our designer to include supplying wallpaper in the quotation cos the price was really too x. We had done wallpaper for our old house and the cost was such a big difference. As such, XP knew that going direct to the supplier can really save a lot!

We finally found this wallpaper supplier after a long search. The reason is because our designer told us a particular design that suits the design for our house and we tried to find the supplier for that design. Of course our designer is unable to reveal their supplier so we gotta go through the long way. But nevermind, at least XP managed to find it. The design that we wanted was discountinued but we managed to get another design that is very close to it. So that settles the wallpaper for our living room.

Well, will probably show it to our designer and decide from there. Next stop - The Adelphi. This is the one-stop centre for audio players i.e. speakers, amp, sub-woofers....Of course, this is again something that Mummy ME knows nuts about it. So just follow along to perhaps widen my knowledge. XP is again kinda of an expert in this field. For me, as long as the sound is clear and I'm able to enjoy my movies at all, I'm satisfied. Will leave all these technical things to him!
