Almost died from anger just now lor! Cannot believe that kids as young as 2 years old can make me "bengz". They seems to be devils more than angels leh! XP tabao back home and Little Arielle also wanna join in to eat. So, again I put on her bib, placed her in her high chair and got her utensils ready.

Placed chee cheong fun in her bowl and immediately she rejected the food. Dun wanna eat nevermind, she refused to give me her fork which still has bits of chee cheong fun on it. Gotta snatch from her else she would start flinking it onto the floor! Of course she started screaming and shouting lor. XP quickly shifted her to the other side of the dining table. He gave her chicken rice and I was of course against it cos the rice is so oily. But apparently, that is the only item amongst the spread of food that she is interested in! Really a typical "png tang"! Just like her daddy!

Asked her if she wants chicken she would tell you, I want rice rice! While eating, she can still say "jim pai si" which means very naughty in Hokkien! Clever lor! Subsequently, she said,"tam jiak". Yah, glad to know that she is aware that she is greedy!

Finally XP managed to get her to eat "whipped potato" and she said,"Very nice!" And when I gave her some chicken, she said,"很好吃!" Of course lah, where got give you awful food to eat leh!

Then after the eating incident is over, for no apparent reason, she started hitting XP. XP was mad and she was smacked 3 times on her palm! Again, the crying starts again lor! Wat biangz, what's the matter with her today leh? Took her a while to stop crying and XP gave her biscuits after she finally decided to stop crying! Buay tahan....

Who's Little Mermaid?

Hee hee, none other than yours truly! Who said that, Little Arielle hor, not me! I not so thick-skinned to claim myself as Little Mermaid. Hmm but since Little Arielle said that I am Little Mermaid, then I shall be lah! Not bad lah, afterall Little Mermaid is pretty too hee!

The Learning Process....

Little Arielle's nai nai gave her some noodles to eat. As usual, she refused to be fed and insisted to eat on her own. Since so, I quickly let her put on her bib and placed her in her high chair. Hmm, not bad lah, at least her "strokes" are right hee! Hopefully, with a few more times of practise, she can make it on her own!

Thanks to this wonderful invention ~ the pocket bib that housed all the bits and pieces that fall out of her mouth!

My Favourite Activity

Most important of all, she likes the steering wheel lor! And if we refused to let her move over to the driver seat, she would scream on top of her voice and wriggle like a worm in the car. Wat biangz! 快被她气死!! I think my life is shortened by dun noe how many years liaoz!

A Fall in the Bathtub

XP was bathing Little Arielle in the bathtub. He only turned around to wash his hands and Little Arielle slipped!

Luckily, she only knocked her chin and there was no bleed. Aiyo so careless of him!

Picnic @ Changi Beach

It was an arrangement made few days back as Mdm Koh came up with the idea of having a picnic at Changi Beach. She chose Changi Beach over the others as she mentioned that it is quieter and the bicycles up for rental over there are much newer as compared to those available in East Coast and Pasir Ris Park.

As I was really busy with work recently, she done most of the coordination work with Jenny to make the event today possible! Jenny's important task is to wake up at 6.30am today to check out the weather and she would sms the both of us to let us know whether to proceed or not. Our contingency plan is to "luan" at Mdm Koh's house in case it really rains as the weather these days are really unpredictable.

Okie, message really came in at 6.30am and it's a positive one! So it means Changi Beach, here we come! Looking forward to see Mdm Koh and family (which includes SP, Kayden and Kyan) and not forgetting Jenny aka YYY and bf (OTY)!

Woke up at about 7.30am and it was really a struggle to wake up at that time cos I was damn tired. But the thought of meeting up with good old friends and enjoying ourselves at the beach just gave me the strength to wake up. After packing my stuff and making sure everyone is ready, I know that I cannot make it at 8.30am. In the end, only managed to reach Changi Beach at about 9.15am and luckily the others din wait long for us!

Wow, what a spread of food! There's bee hoon, sandwich, taiwan sausage, apple salad, nuggets, hot dog and my all-time favourite chicken wings! All prepared by Mdm Koh and maid! Kudos to her for making the effort and we know that she can definitely be depended on where food is concerned hee! Don't worry, I will contribute my part when my new house is ready :)! Thanks to YYY for helping to jagar Little Arielle for a while that I can have the chance to chit-chat with Mdm Koh! Wondering who she is? She is my damn good friend for the past 13 years! Cannot believe that we have known each other for that long lor! What is consoling is that we still managed to stay in touch! Which is so important especially when we each have our own family. We have been through a lot and I truly appreciate those days when we gave each other strength and support that made us got our degree successfully! Thanks for being my friend!!

Okie, enough of mushy words hee! So after the sumptuous breakfast, we shifted ourselves nearer to the beach. The weather is really great! It's sunny and windy! What a good day have we chosen hee! The kids were enjoying themselves with the bike while I continued my chat with Mdm Koh.

Din know that time passes that fast. We have been lazing around the beach for more than 3 hours. Can see the dark clouds approaching. So decided to take some pic together and leave for the day.

Little Arielle!!

Happen to sing,"I love you" and Little Arielle continued with,"You love me, we are happy family!" Din know that she knows how to sing this song leh! Really caught us by surprise!

Still remember the time when she would automatically cry upon hearing this song. I guess it's because this is the last song of the Barney vcd so she knows that after this, she would have nothing to watch liaoz. But luckily she doesn't cry upon hearing the song now hee!

Opps, Did it Again!!

It was not intentional that I want to leave Little Arielle at my mama's house again! But the experience last night was indeed a killer! She was practically kicking me in my back every other moment. Her kicks was so powerful that I was woken up by her and as such it kept me awake the whole night. I was totally irritated and pissed off that I shouted to her,"What's wrong with you??" Apparently, she din response lor! She might be having nightmare but at that moment, I just cannot be bothered about what she is having cos I am practically all drained out! XP woke up upon hearing my shout and he carried Little Arielle down to her mattress and slept with her. I only had a peaceful sleep I think for only 1-2 hours before day breaks and I gotta go for work!

Basically, I am only working with my body today. My soul has vanished into the air. In addition, I had to work late again tonight so sorrie mama, gotta trouble you again tonight!

Haven't Done This For A While....

Cannot remember when was the last time that I din bring Little Arielle home. This means that we have always been bringing her back hee. But then recently, my work has been so overwhelming that I am almost half-dead by the time I am home.

In addition, Little Arielle is not the kind of kid that would sleep early. By bringing her back, it means that I would have to entertain her until this little princess decides to sleep.

So I had to make the decision to let her stay over at mama's house for the night! Need to get back some energy before I can "catch up" with Little Arielle!

The Whining Starts

Dun noe what happened to Little Arielle tonight, she cannot be scolded one leh! When you just raised your voice a little bit, she broke down in tears. When asked for certain things and she is not given, she starts her whining again....

Aiyo, cannot take it leh! XP is trying to control his cool! Hmm, still doing well now and we are taken off the stress now as she is entertained by her 爷爷 with the fireworks happening outside!

So Sweet....

Alamak, of all the times, my shoes snapped and I gotta drag my feet with it. XP explained to Little Arielle that my shoes is spoilt and therefore cannot walk too fast.

So when I finally managed to get myself up the car, she said,"Buy mummy slippers!" Aiyo, so sweet of her leh! Hee, din dote her for nothing!

Tu Tu Leh?

Alamak, cannot believe that it has been so many weeks since Little Arielle has weaned off her tu tu and yet she is still thinking of it. Out of the blue, she suddenly asked me to give her her tu tu. When I said no, she went to XP.

But whoever she went to, the answer is still NO hee hee! Luckily, she din kick a fuss out of it!

20082008

Today is another date that is worth blogging about cos it's gonna be a few hundred years down the road before we can have such combination of numbers again!

But sad to say, I din manage to spend much time with Little Arielle today. Only went back at 9.45pm cos I worked OT today lor! So in total, I was in office for 15 hours cos I reached office at 6.45am today! When you hear me staying back, it really means business leh! Anyway, the stay was worth the while cos I managed to complete quite a bit of work! Would have stayed beyond 10pm if XP din make his appearance at the backlane of my office.

He brought along Little Arielle to pick me! So happy to see Little Arielle leh, majiam very long din see her like that! Oh no, it means that she must stick to us wherever we go cos I am missing her hard even though the separation was for a few hours!!

Assembly in Progress!

Had bought a Barbie tricycle for Little Arielle around 1 year ago during a Isetan sale. Had kept it with me eversince until today, whereby it finally saw light! Tried to locate it around 1-2 weeks back but din manage to find it and therefore gave up the search.

Hmm, not sure why XP has got the mood tonight to "dig" it out! Thought that Little Arielle can ride on it immediately. Never did I thought that it has to be assembled. So, this important job of course goes to her daddy hee!

The assembly process took around 25 minutes which shows it's wasn't that easy, well at least for me, I will not know how to do it lor! But nothing of such can scare XP away as he is always very patient with such assembly even though it can take him a few hours hee! Luckily, this time round, he din have to use that long a period!

Shoes & More Shoes!

Just received 2 pairs of sandals which I have bought for Little Arielle about 2 months back. Hahaha, as usual lor, it's too big for her now.

Other than these 2 pairs of sandals, I realised that there are still 1 other pair waiting for her leh! Cos just discovered today that she can wear the other pair (Pepided) which I have bought for her few months back hee! Aiyo, I cannot believe that there are in total 3 pairs of shoes waiting for her feet to grow big.

More Purchases!

Oh no, I seems to be on a shopping spree recently! So much so that I cannot stop leh! Just placed my orders for these books again hee! Cost me a total of $40. It's said to be soft and stain resistant books for infants and toddlers that is perfect for bath time, playtime or anytime! Yes, that's what I need! Stain resistant hee!

Cannot Resist!

Aiyo, saw someone having BP in SMH for nice pretty clips about 2 days ago. Best of all, all designs would have a 20% off! How can I miss this leh!!!

Finally managed to submit my orders today cos I din have time to go through the designs. Each and everyone is so nice and sweet until it took me a while to finally decide on those that I wanted. So there I go with my orders hee!

Ordered a total of 5 pairs leh! Steady right?? Spend $$ I number ONE leh hee! Hengz ah, it's my money so XP won't know hee! SShhh....dun tell him hor! So how come 5 pairs but only 4 designs? Cos the second pair, I also buying for myself hahaha!!! Wanna be pretty like my girl mah!

Itchy Fingers in Action!

Little Arielle was sitting on my lap as we proceed home in XP's car. While stopping at one of the traffic junction, the window was suddenly wound down.

Oh, it's Little Arielle's itchy fingers meddling with the power window switch. XP quickly locked it so that she will not be able to wind down the window liaoz.

Luckily the car door is auto-locked! Else she might be moving her itchy fingers over there next!

Placing Her Orders!

Oh no, as Little Arielle grows bigger, she nows know how to request for things liaoz! She saw a "Giant" advertisement and there are a few bicycles on sale.

The moment we came back, she kept telling us that she wants the bicycle and best of all, she knows how to choose the one that she likes hee!

Actually, I have bought her a tricycle some time ago. Now need some time to go and dig it out before she can ride on it hee!

As long as Little Arielle dun disturb me, I probably would have some time to do some treasure hunt!

臭 Mummy!

Yeah, I am being labelled as 臭Mummy cos we were late in picking up Little Arielle. She said to mama, "臭Mummy, 为什么还没有来?" Well, how exact the words are, I have no idea cos it's was told to me by mama.

In any case, Mummy Me gotta work OT to earn $$ for you leh, that's why we are late! $$ dun drop from the sky hor! So if we are late sometimes, please wait for us okie?

Quite surprised that she knows that we are late lor! So young already have an invisible clock in her??

Kiasu Mummy!

XP read the papers early in the morning and immediately inform me that the discount for GainIQ is back again at Giant.



This time round the discount is quite minimum. Only about $2 leh but better than nothing lor. So XP decided to buy the maximum tins allowed = 4 tins!



So sway cos we just bought a new tin yesterday with no discount! Have been waiting for their offer lor! So since now there is, we will grab it hee! Total damage = $200 and some cents....

No Cartoons Please!

Was told by mama that Little Arielle has a different liking recently for tv programs. She used to like to watch cartoon but these few days, she kept requesting mama to play her educational vcd for her rather than her cartoon!

Hee hee, not bad leh! This is a good habit! Keep it up, Little Arielle!

Still Not Toilet Trained!

It has been a few weeks and Little Arielle is still not toilet trained! Initially, mama was telling me that Little Arielle will still tell her when she wants to poo poo. Nowadays, she din do so and prefers to poo in her diapers!

Aiyo, jiat lard liaoz lor! When would she "wean" off her diaper leh??

Hmm, should I get those training pants for her then?

A Farewell Dinner

Oh, this is not for Mama Tong but rather for 静静! So the next question is,"Who is 静静?" Well, she is actually one of my brother's good friend who came over from China to Singapore for work 4 years ago.

There was a period of time that she was staying as a tenant with us in our Punggol house. My brother recommended her to stay with us cos we charged reasonable rental and at least we were someone that she knows. When I was pregnant with Little Arielle, she shifted out cos we needed the room for the baby. However, we still maintained contact with each other!

She has actually obtained her PR status here but in the beginning of this year, she has decided to return back to China. She has found a better paying job over there and prefers to go back there to be with her parents. We were hoping that she can quickly find her Mr Right and settle down hee!

Well, not sure when would be the next round that we would see her after she goes back to China. So our whole family decided to have a farewell dinner for her!

The venue would be this Chinese Restaurant called the Soup Restaurant in Century Square. So sweet of 静静 to buy a set of clothes for Little Arielle even though she is the one who is going away! So touched by her gesture!
