Rainy Day @ Labrador Park

It's the monthly CRV meet up and it's gonna be held at Labrador Park. The initial plan is for the cars to meet there and family members are welcomed! I was excited and thought that I can bring Little Arielle out for a stroll in the park.

Well, weather wasn't kind to us and it started to rain pretty heavily. I thought that the meeting would be off due to the rain but was surprised to hear that around 20-30 cars turned up for the meet! Wow, what a big group of die-hard fans lor!

So of course, we will not miss the fun!!

When we reached there, most of the cars are in formation ready for photo shoot. We also parked our car in accordance to the formation. Although it's raining, we still got out of the car cos it's quite ridiculous to stay inside with the engine on and the car is not moving. Little Arielle was cooperative and she remained on the concrete pavement without moving for quite a while! Hengz ah, else she would end up in the car!

After the pictures are taken (which is one of the main objective of the meet-up), we proceeded to the sheltered restuarant called Labrador Seafood. We only had drinks there and Little Arielle was excited to move around! The group proceeded for dinner at Sin Ma Live Seafood Restaurant. It is one of the popular eating outlet along Geylang area! Little Arielle was pretty naughty here. Gave her some porridge and it was still very hot. I was trying to blow so that it will be she will not burn her tongue but she insisted that I have to place the bowl of hot porridge on her tray. Gotta be firm on this and removed it for fear that she will scald herself again. She cried so loudly that XP exchanged seat with me and he took over from there! Ordered a bowl of rice specially for her so that it will be easier for her to eat. Luckily, XP is patient and managed to settle her down. Thus, dinner was still a pleasant one for us! We eneded the session at 9pm and returned home after that!

Dark Dark Man!

aka A-bu-ne-ne! This is a new word introduced by XP today to make Little Arielle scared hee hee! We will tell her that if she is naughty, she would be brought to the dark dark place by the dark dark man! Or we will sell her to the dark dark man and she will not be able to see us! So bad hor! But, no choice lah! If there is nothing that my girl is gonna be afraid of, I think I would have some difficulties displincing her. While this may not be the best method of teaching a child but I guessed for the time being, at least it works!

Stronger Mandarin Foundation

I guessed it's because Little Arielle's time spent with mama is longer, thus her foundation for Mandarin is stronger. Although, some people told me that it's good to be stronger in Mandarin as they will pick up English easier when they go to school. But, I am still worried that she will not be able to catch up.

Have tried my best to speak to her in English at all times and hope that she will not lose out in this area!

Last Order @ T2 Swensens Restaurant

XP and I had something to attend to and thus we were late in picking Little Arielle up. Today is the last day of 1 to 1 ice cream offer at Swensens. As we did not get a chance to eat it yesterday, we decided to go today instead.

It's about 11.15pm when we picked Little Arielle up. We reached T2 at about 11.25pm. We were waiting outside Swensens at about 11.30pm. Wow, it was indeed a very long queue there! Most of them were here for the promotion as I saw them holding the e-Voucher in their hands. The captain was walking down the queue asking the number of pax. The couple behind us asked the question that I wanted to have the answer to! They want to know if they are entitled to the 1 to 1 ice-cream? The captain replied that if we are able to place our order by 12 midnight, we will be eligible!

Wat biangz! Stress leh! We were so far back in the queue and I din dare to count the number of pax in front of us! We were crossing our fingers and was hoping that we can make it! They should have taken all orders in the queue first mah and get people to settle payment so that everyone can be eligible for the promotion and no one will be disappointed. But, I think, to the company's point of view, earning more $$ is more important!

Haha, probably our prayers were heard somewhere and we happened to be the last customer who managed to make it for the promotion! Wat seh, this means that we have been queueing for the past half an hour and luckily we got it. Else the wait would be a waste!

Well, although we have been informed by the captain that the wait for the ice-cream would take about half an hour to 45 minutes, we din expect that it is really gonna be that long. At least, ice-cream is something that you dun have to cook right?? How come need to wait that long leh. In any case, we just wait cos there is no other options left. The couples on our left and right were sitted around the same time as us. The couple on my right had their food and ice-cream served and they have finished their ice-cream when mine wasn't even seen in sight. The couple on my left had their food served first. And well, our orders were not here yet after they finished their main course! I took a look at my watch and it's 12.50am. So what it means is that I have been waiting for the past 50 minutes for my ICE-CREAM!! Finally, it arrived at the 55th minute! And guessed what! They din give me the flavour that I wanted! Dun care, just got them to make the change!

Usually we will share but since it's 1 for 1, why not! Hmm hopefully we will have sweet dreams tonight! We left the airport at about 1.15am....

The Studio Promotion is Back!

Was so excited when I received the email from Fotu-U informing me that their $120 Studio Promotion is back by popular demand!


Hee hee, once I saw the email, I immediately signed up without seeking consent from XP. 厉害hor! So I din dare to pay the deposit first in case XP gonna make a big hoo-ha out of this! Well, was chatting with him on our way out from office. Managed to slot this studio photo topic in and told him that we would be taking it on 08th Aug. He thought that it's free but I said need to pay, but not very x! Only $120 and can get unlimited pic as long as you can take a lot within an hour! Hee hee, hengz ah, he din show any signs of disapproval.

So I would have to quickly make payment to secure the slot! But sometimes, come to think of it, I'm not asking him to pay mah, why must keep thinking of the costs? Men always like that! Even though they are not paying the money, they still wanna restrict our usage! Buay tahan! Nevermind, as long as I can go for the session, I 不管 about other things liaoz!

3 Syllabus Words

Have been trying to teach Little Arielle how to pronounce 3 syllabus words but she always fail to pronounce properly. In the end, she will only pronounce the last 2 syllabus of the words (吐血leh!)

Finally, she made it today!! Yippee!! She managed to pronounce the word "CO-CO-NUT". Hahaha! Good job, Little Arielle!!!

Stealing Food!

Oh no, this naughty little one has my trademark hahaha! Not something good though! We caught her in the act of food stealing! Mama was cutting char siew as this is meant to be included in our fried rice. She had a bowl placed in front of her chopping board and all the diced char siew would be placed in the bowl.

She was telling me that Little Arielle would come by and just pop a few into her mouth. For the first time, I din get to witness it until she did it the second time!

Haha, caught u! But too bad, it's not on camera cos I din bring it with me! Shucks man!!!

Forced to Sleep....

Yah by Little Arielle lor! Hmm, so what exactly did she do? Well, for the past 1-2 nights, she has been sleeping at about 11pm+. She might have slept even later if I did not shut down my pc and sleep with her!

Last time, if I on cartoon for her to watch, she would watch until she doze off. That is probably about 10pm+. But recently, even though the cartoon is on, she would still fidget around and worst still, she would climb off the bed and come to me. She would attempt to pull my hand off the keyboard and try to drag me to the bed.

I would carry her for a while and then placed her on the bed and asked her to watch tv on her own. Few moments later, she would repeat the same actions again! Win liaoz lor! How to do my things (e.g. blogging) when she doesn't want to sleep?

And you must be thinking where is XP? Yah, in his dreamland liaoz lor! So no nid to tap on him! Since cannot tap on him, I LL gotta off my pc and sleep with Little Arielle....Well, to think positively, I can sleep earlier lor!

Better Appetite

Oh finally Little Arielle is able to finish her 260ml of milk in the night, before her sleep. Her appetite has been bad eversince her the last round she was sick. Had been trying to nurse her back to her previous appetite but attempts had been unsuccessful and I feel so 心痛 when I had to pour the milk away. Wat seh, all the money going down the drain leh. Milk powder not cheap hor!

Anyway, gotta know from mama that she has since resumed her appetite! Yippee! But she said that Little Arielle will only finish it when she was fed like a little baby. It means that mama had to carry her in her arms and feed her as though she is still an infant. If she were to hold the bottle on her own, she would not finish it. And when we want to intervene to feed her, she would refused to drink further! Haha, this naughty one just wanna remember the good old days?

In any case, I din do it at night. Just let her hold on to her milk bottle on her own. Alamak, like what mama said, she din finish her milk lor! In the end, I gotta hold her milk bottle for her. Only then, she managed to finish her milk. Hmm not sure if this is one way to get our attention! Hee hee : )

Body Parts

Was very happy to hear that Little Arielle knows most of the major body parts which includes head, hair, ears, eyes, nose, mouth, tongue, hands and legs. She can tell you the name of the body parts when we point to it and she can also point to the body parts when we say out a particular one. Think she knows how to differentiate the various parts some time ago just that I have forgotten to blog it down - Opps!

The strange thing is that I dun recall teaching her this leh. Hmm wonder if it is my mama who has done the job! If it is, good job leh!! Thumbs Up!

New Words Heard!

Hee hee so interesting today. As usual, dinner would be at my mama house today. Most of the dishes are already on the dining table. I was in the kitchen and wanted to help to bring out the last item. Little Arielle saw me and she started to grab my hand and pulled me forward. While doing so, she said,"吃饭" Haha, so cute leh! Will still ask me to do so! How not to dote on her hee hee!

Later on, she was playing with her youngest 舅舅 and I think she was being tickled until she shouted,"救命" Alamak buay tahan her!

When we were in the car on the way back home, she can suddenly tell me "Pink colour". Hmm, not bad hor! She knows her mummy's favourite colour!

Peeing Around

I din really check with mama on the progress of the toilet training. But she happened to tell me today that Little Arielle is very naughty! She din dare to pee in the potty. Hmm, it is because she is not used to pee while sitting down? But then, with diapers on, they can pee in any position mah?? *scratch head* She just went around peeing on the carpet in the living room as well as the kitchen. But she just couldn't pee in the potty. Huh, jiat lard leh! Anyone got the same experience? Can share share hee!

Spoilt for Choice

Have bought Little Arielle so many vcds that she is spoilt for choice. How fortunate are the kids nowadays! We din get to enjoy all these when we were young.

But, when they have too many choices, they become difficult to handle. First she wanted to watch Miffy. After I on Miffy for her, she wants to watch Mickey Mouse. When I refused to on Mickey Mouse for her, she kicks up a fuss there!!

My New Toy

In preparation for my company's Family Day happening on 12 Jul, I have been looking around for toys which she can play at the beach as the Family Day is gonna be held at Sentosa!

Almost Lost!

Went to Vivo City today for our weekly outing. We were first made to stop cos Little Arielle as usual would be attractive by the variety of kiddy rides stationed outside Giant Hypermart. She would definitely want to get herself on one of them at least. Well, luckily she doesn't mind to be on a motionless ride hee! And the best part is, she will be willing to come down from the ride when we told her that she can get to see more things in front! Probably shows that she is curious!

Happen to see ToysRUs and decided to pop in to take a look at the "Mini House" that Jerlene was telling me. It's in the design of a Princess Castle. Wow, really not cheap lor. Cost almost $40. But I guessed it should be fun for the little one to play in with. I'm really tempted to get one for her even though there is no space to put the "Mini House". But then again, XP will sure reject the idea as we are staying with my PIL at the moment and it's best to keep as minimum things as possible. *Sob sob* Should I buy or not?

Anyway, while in ToysRUs, Little Arielle was fascinated with all the toys as this is the first time she stepped into ToysRUs. I was quite hesistant to bring her in but thought that as a child, she should not be deprived to at least look at toys hee hee! Anyway, she did behave herself and listened to what we said. She did not scream and roll on the floor when we asked her to put down the toy and move on.

I left Little Arielle with XP and I proceeded to choose toys for the upcoming Family Day @ Sentosa. While I was choosing the toy, I heard Little Arielle's voice at the back of me asking,"Mummy, where are you?" I thought that she was just asking for fun and I just replied her yes....and continued with my selection. When I was done, I went to look for XP and he was asking me where is Little Arielle. I told him that,"I thought she is with you?" Then he said,"No, she went to look for me!" Then I said,"No, I didn't see her coming!" Then XP said,"Siao liao!" And he quickly went in front to look for her. I remembered the last round I heard her voice was coming from the next lane. So the first thing I did was to run to that lane to check if she is there. True enough, she was there, playing with the stroller! I quickly called out to XP to let him know that I have found her.

It was really a shock of our lives when we thought that we have lost her! Really felt a sigh of relief when she was found! So to all parents, never let our child leave the sight of us, else be prepared for the consequences!
